Is a good place for your cats

I love Feline Vet Care! They make my vet experience much less stressful for my cats, and I really enjoy the feline-centric experience. I don't have to worry about there being massive dogs in the clinic, and I know that all of the staff care about my cats and their associated issues. I'm so glad a service like this exists in Morgantown.

They got me in the next day, the vet was very informative in assisting me with my cat. She even gave me information on problems with my other cats that she wasn’t seeing. This is my second time with them and I officially switched them to my primary vet! Very satisfied and highly recommend.

This is a Cat veterinarian clinic only! They are part of Cheat Lake Animal Hospital in Cheat Lake, WV. So, if you cat is Sick, injured or just need a routine check-up. Then this is the place to go. A lot of you out there probably Don't think their opened, but they are Doctor Gilson and staff, park their vehicles on the other side of lot. So that's why it looks like their not opened but they are. They are still asking for you to call first cause they are still not letting anyone in except for the Felines! Tell Doctor G. That Kim gave her and the Girls a Big Shout Out to them please, Yeah I know a lot of you wonder which door to use, and it's the Door on the front porch with the wreath on it and also there is a Door bell there too that you can ring. So, girls know someone is outside! And just found out there will a New Doctor cause they will be expanding their hours, her name is Doctor Cobun. Please Give her a warm Welcome to the Feline House!!

Amazing staff and conveniently located! Discovered a tick on my cat, Loki's, face. I called and in a panic and they said to bring him on down. Took great care in getting it off of him, and it was free of charge! What's even better is that they're only a two minute drive from my house! Definitely would recommend!!

The vet and staff of this clinic are helping me treat my cat who has a rare infection. They have always patiently answered my questions, and never made me feel like I was bothering them even if I called several times.

They do generally do a good professional job. They are associated with the Cheat Lake Animal Hospital. The only issue? Cost. All told, between the initial visit and the neuter, I paid roughly $250 per cat for immunizations and neuter. They do offer top-notch service, and a dog-free environment, so if money is no object, they are a perfectly fine choice.

Best place to take your cats!!! Took my baby meeka last night. She had an accident in the carrier. Staff was absolutely wonderful and very nice. They gave her a proper bath, cleaned the cage. Staff always kept me updated every 10 min or so. Dr. Holly was wonderful too! Kept me updated as well, gave me wonderful advice and the medicine we needed. Did a wonderful job! Never left me setting without an idea of what was happening! Treated my meeka very well!! I love this place! Will be taking my cats here for now on.????????

6/10/2019. My beautiful senior cat, Katie had a swollen face. Took her for the first time to this clinic. Katie saved me as much as I saved her in 2010 as an abandoned cat at a ballfield. I am anaphylactic to cats. But I was determined to save her and give her a home. We have never been separated everything I owned, katie owned. Her swollen face led to a chest xray, which led to a diagnosis of severe heart disease, chest cavity filled with fluid. The amazing Doctor and staff helped comfort katie with oxygen and medicine. The final decision was made to humanely euthanize katie. The Dr. Cried with me. The Dr and staff's compassion and kindness will only be a wonderful memory in a heart crushing day for me. They lovely placed katie in a personalized little blue beautiful bag with with a bouquet of wildflowers and the Dr. Personally walked katie to the car, to take her home for her final journey and forever resting place. They made a personalized heart with her name and paw print to memoralize Katie. Im grateful they made Katie's last final hour as peaceful as they could surrounded by people that loved her or loved animals so much they dedicated their lives to treat, nurture, and yes grieve with the pet owner that they had never met before, sharing my pain and broken heart.

This was the worst experience ever. Vet was mean, contradicted what other vets and research has told us, and was sadistic about giving the bad news. She was bossy, didn’t let us speak, and said we could talk about the problem you came in for but I have 3 other patients waiting! WHAT?!?!? $500 bill later and absolutely no answers. I’m furious! Bad bed side manner, bad communications skill. Avoid avoid avoid! At all costs! There are so many other clinics in this area! Go there!

They're very knowledgeable, and they have the resources to really help your cats. They're reasonably priced and they're fantastic at communicating with us so we know exactly what we need.

NEVER NEVER NEVER…..had I known this place was even remotely affiliated with Cheat Lake Animal Hospital – I would have NEVER taken my cat there. Ever. Surgery wasn’t completed correctly, entirely, or adequately - whatever the case, we were pretty much told that they weren’t capable of correcting the problem they created or finishing the process. They advised they could make a referral to a Pittsburgh clinic if we wanted to correct the problem that was now presenting itself. What choice did we have? And, we couldn’t leave our pet with an eye that kept swelling up with fluid every 7 days or so go until the appointment we were able to get for him at the Pittsburgh clinic (2 weeks away), so we had no choice but to take the pet back to this place so they could drain off the fluid a couple more times until his appointment. Mind you, we had already paid close to $1000 up to that point to this clinic, and we already knew from speaking with the Pittsburgh clinic that the additional surgery to correct the issue was going to be estimated at $1500-$1800 additional. We advised this clinic the estimate we were given when we returned to have the eye drained. And do you believe they had the nerve to CHARGE us again for those two visits??!! Honestly, I think that was the icing on the cake, and the insult to injury for us! The practice of simply washing their hands and shrugging their shoulders and referring you to a Pittsburgh clinic seems to be the modus operandi of Cheat Lake and their branches including this place. This was like a repeat of my experience at CL many years ago with almost the exact same pattern. Again, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER would I have went here had I known this was owned by the same bunch. Save your pet the anguish of having multiple surgical procedures, and yourself from paying for something you may have to go get completed / corrected elsewhere. Phillis Thorn
