Ark was not taking any calls and I thought it was time to go back to Martinsburg Animal Hospital but even though I'm not new on file there, to be fair it's been some time since I've taken my pet there not because of them but because I had moved so close to another vet. Still the first appointment was over a month away so I decided to go to another vet all the way in Hagerstown that got me in from a canceled appointment the very next day. Giving MA Hospital 4 stars for effort and pointing me in the right direction.

I've been bringing my pets here for about 40 years...Dr Sauble is a friendly and knowledgeable vet who really cares about animals and his staff is just as good. And they are reasonably priced. I highly recommend Martinsburg Animal Hospital for your sweet pets!

I have gone to this vet for 15 years. But recently I went concerning my dog having problems urinating. He gave my dog antibiotics twice without providing urinalysis. I asked for the test the second time but the tech stated they don't do that because it is expensive. It is at most $100 bucks. An Urinary tract infection in dogs is tricky to treat and every professional vet journal states it is dangerous and bad practice to do so. He also provides the medication without any instructions, like don't take with dairy or with food. I had to look up the medication to find that information. My dog is worse now and I have made an appointment with another vet and will not be returning.

Very kind and friendly to my pets. Appointments are currently pushed out, but it's worth the wait. My little boy is healthy and happy so that's all that matters.

This is honestly the best animal hospital we have ever been to for dogs and cats. They care about the animals and they are very reasonably priced. We will never go anywhere else for vet care for our pups!

I absolutely love the staff at Martinsburg Animal Hospital. Their compassion and kindness is unparalleled in the vet care field. I do not feel as if I am just a wallet when I walk in their door with any of my pets. They do not try to push procedures & products that I do not need like other places have in the past or guilt me into buying them. Their fees are so much more affordable and I have found them to be HALF the price I’ve paid another area veterinarians. I have been in the pet care industry for over 30 years and currently own a grooming & boarding facility, Grooming Room & Pet Suites. I am so glad that my 6 dogs became patients there this year and refer a lot of my clients to Dr. Sabol.

Dr. Sauble and my vet tech Nicole were great ! I have huge anxiety and especially when it comes to my kitties health. We spent almost 1000 dollars somewhere else and they treated me so badly and coldly about my anxiety. This doctor loves animals more than money !

Call for price to put cat down. Quote 130.00. That is crazy. Call and went to dr Gilpin (sp). 50.00. Why such a big difference. I hate to be taken advantage of. And your price is off the chart.

As every pet owner knows, the COVID virus has made getting care for our pets quite difficult as well as posing unusual challenges for the care providers. I feel fortunate to have found Martinsburg Animal Hospital. They have been very kind, responsive, and informed in helping my cat beloved recover.

As blood dripped from my dog, AND MYSELF, they refused to even take a look at my dog that was attacked. Ive went there for about 20 years. NEVER AGAIN!

Do not go here! A vet tech brought a cat out to its owner recently and did not latch the cage properly. The cat escaped. There was no apology, and no one helped the owner try and find their beloved pet. This doctor and it’s employees obviously do not care about the well-being of your animal. Horribly unacceptable and negligent.

I would give no stars if i could. They denied help to a regular customer when her poor poodle in terrible condition was attacked by another dog. The staff rolled their eyes and finally came to the door refusing help because the vet was booked. In an emergency situation this is absolutely ridiculous. Thank God another vet in the area took the dog in right away. Remember why you have your job, because you "care" about animals but won't help in desperate need. Shame on you.

Called for an emergency with my dog. They could not help her, but suggested where to take her and were so sincere and kind.

Always work with your schedule and and price. I've not had a bad experience there in 20 years.

BEWARE OF MARTINSBURG ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!!! I have a chocolate Tri English Bulldog that needed a C-Section and I scheduled it in advance with Martinsburg Animal Hospital. I have used them many times in the past and didn’t have any problems until they hired a new receptionist (I’m unsure of her name but she has red hair). This receptionist is so unprofessional and rude and got into a major argument with my husband and I because we did not bring proof that my dog had its rabies shot (we were never told to bring it) and I had to contact the owner over her unprofessional behavior. The vet assured us that he would speak to her and take care of the situation. Now fast forward to yesterday 04/28/2020 when I took my dog in for her scheduled C-Section. I arrived bright and early at 7 am as was requested and was the first customer to arrive. This same unprofessional lady came outside and took care of everyone else 1st and saved me for last (no big deal). This is where it gets interesting. This same lady that acted a fool over the rabies shot the last time with a different dog, GAVE my dog a rabies shot without asking me or for my consent and charged me for it! My dog JUST GOT HER RABIES SHOT before I bred her!!!!!!!!! They never called me, nothing! The real icing on the cake was the C-Section job that they did. I noticed when my dog was put in the car that there was some blood, I thought it was coming from her uterus, which is normal. However, I noticed it was coming from the poor job they did closing her up. Her staples were barely in the skin and some were falling out. I immediately called the office and asked for a return call from the vet, he NEVER called back! I had to use medical glue to hold her together until this morning to call the office again. If I wouldn’t have had this on hand, I would’ve ended up with an emergency vet fee. I called the office this morning and was told to bring her back in (I live 45 min away) I told them that I was upset that they never returned my phone call yesterday. When I returned, the owners wife met me in the parking lot and began YELLING at me! Yelling at me because I said that I felt they rushed the surgery because of how they closed the incision (I am a certified Surgical Technologist and perform surgeries for a living) and because I said there was no excuse for them giving MY dog a vaccination without checking with me! They took my dog back in and gave her more staples and gave her nothing to numb the area because “she tolerated it well”. When the vet tech returned my dog to me, she was crying and yelling at me and told me to NEVER come back, they didn’t need or want my business. They didn’t have to tell me that because I would’ve NEVER returned back to their business.

I took our beloved rescue cat that we've had for 8 years to get his immunizations and when the tech brought his carrier back out to the car she had not latched it, it opened and he bolted. He was almost hit by a car as he crossed the street. He ran past the houses and into the woods never to be seen again. They did not say sorry and did not help me search. We are still searching for him!
