Humane Society of Westmoreland County Greensburg, West Virginia

We have adopted a kitten and a puppy from the Human Society. The kitten is now 9yrs old and the puppy is now 5yrs old. They have always treated us very well and everyone is always nice. I have never had any problems going there, I'd rather adopt than spend money on any other kind of pet.

I recently adopted Samson and he has been an excellent fit. He is very playful and also very loving too. He has adopted me into his life. I would give a 5 but would like to see the application process available to complete on their website.

First time adopting here and it was a great experience. I loved that we could do the application online and they did the interview by phone. They called us back promptly. Everybody was friendly and efficient and our puppy was in great health and used to being around people so I know they had been spending time with him. Other than a hard time finding the right door to get in, lol, it was a perfect experience!

I adopted 2 dogs about 15 years ago then adopted another 4 years ago. Very helpful including helping me with updating the chip registration when I had to change my phone number. They seem to do a good job screening people who want to adopt which is great. Good people

I adopted Thunderfoot ten years ago from this wonderful group. I have lost the best friend of my entire life. It will be so hard to replace him. I have waited a year and now I am ready to return to find a new best friend ...not a replacement but a new chapter for both of us.

Low cost vaccinations. They will make private vet appts. All of their vets are fabulous and treat their patients with kindness and love.

Took my baby girl to get fixed , they was very kind and took great care of my furbaby

They just refused to spay my dog because I told them 6 months ago the veterinarian who gave my dogs shots was rude to me.

Had two of my mind pins spayed there. The care that my girls received was second to none! Very caring staff that is very knowledgeable as well!

Best vets there and cost is low . Always take my boxers there. I hear negative comments about vets there but I can tell you everyone has different personalities but they are all caring and professional people, techs as well. They have a strict adoption process and that is howitzer should be.

Very nice caring people that are as concerned about your pet as you are if you are using the vet service. If you don't think you can afford to take a sick or hurt pet to a regular veterinarian then Pease take your animal here. The Humane Society attributes so much to a community and this one is no different. It's kind of crazy with so much going on when you're there but with great veterinary care at a low cost you can't beat this Humane Society.

The veterinarian Beth Ferry working giving shots was the most rude person I've ever met in a professional setting. I was picking up a kitten that I had spayed, appointment for shot was at 3pm. I was there at 311pm because there was only one lady working in the surgery and she was late. The way I was treated and spoken to was uncalled for, considering the 11 minutes late was because of the Humane Society..... Find a low cost vaccine elsewhere. I will never go here again until they replace this rude veterinarian. And I will be asking all of my co workers and club members to do the same

We adopted our big boy Gideon there yesterday!! He was a rescued stray found at the mall and I am impressed with the level of care they gave him. The paperwork process was easy and he parted with alot of goodies. My only issue was when I went to the courthouse to get a lifetime license I couldn't get one because I didn't have the proper paperwork...so I got him a year and will get the lifetime later. Btw, not sure why he was a stray cause he is such a great dog. Someone took alot of time to train him, but he is skin and bones and I guess they just couldn't take care of him.

We adopted a Bulldog Lady last June. She is the best dog ! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful!! Process was easy and fast!!

I have always had great experiences at the Humane Society. They are always caring and compassionate towards my fur babies (and me)!! And they are extremely affordable!! ❤????

The staff is friendly. The walk in clinics can be very busy and you must wait by or in your vehicle. The prices are great and appointments are available.

I adopted my baby Hemi last year from them. The staff is absolutely wonderful. In reality my mind wasn't ready to adopt due to having to help my baby cross the rainbow bridge. They didn't pressure me just let me interact with the cats and of course my husband told them what I was looking for and the one worker handed me a white boy kitten and said see if he likes you. He feel asleep in my arms and the rest is history.

We (husband, mother, and I) adopted a more than wonderful new family member (large dog) just over 16 months ago. I can not say enough about the help and support that we received from staff members! We fostered her (x) Zera for 2 weeks than made her our forever family member. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience one of the best EVER!!! I cannot say how much the shelter has helped us with everything we need on multiple occasions! My hat is off to these wonderful people for all that they do from the goodness of their very big hearts!

This was a few years ago but I remember when my boyfriend and I had a dog picked out we drove over an hour to meet him and they wouldn't let us adopt him because we didn't own our home at the time, but I had permission from the land lord to have a dog! I wouldn't recommend going here if you don't own. They won't even give you a chance.

Adopted a pup here earlier this month. They were incredibly patient and clearly cared for the animals in their care.

These volunteers work very hard. Please support them, money, food litter....its been a bad year. Please don't let the animals go without.

Helpful clinic, long wait and worth it if you don't have a lot of spare money but want your animals to see a vet then they are perfect. Vet seemed to actually care as well.
