This is our go to vet. We moved to Fredericksburg last year and still drive up to them because no other vet comes close to the care and attention you get from Stonewall. Dr. Kelly is truly one of a kind and she has been with our family through our happiest and darkest moments. Same with Dr. Thibodeau and Dr. Fauss, those three ladies are family to us. We will never go anywhere else!

Very nice vet who takes time to really talk to you about your pet and the options available for treatment - as for Dr. Perez!!

Great experience. They always ensure the best care towards my dog and are kind. The respect that is given from all staff allows my dog to feel at ease. Dr.thibadeu is amazing!

I needed them in an emergency and even though they were short handed they took us in. They let my unharmed dog stay with his buddy to help keep him company too. Can't say enough good things about every person here!

I've been going to Stonewall for many, many years and wouldn't go anywhere else! Most of the staff are very friendly and personable, but I go for Dr. Liv -- my pets and I just adore her. She has provided excellent care for my pets and recommends treatments and/or specialists only when necessary and isn't pushy or judgemental about my questions or decisions about care. I highly recommend!

The lady who answer the phone is super rude, I had a serious question about my dog who was in pain and the only thing she was worried about was if I could make it to the appointment. People like that should not work with dogs. Very disappointed.

Great staff, clean location. They make every effort to keep everyone safe during COVID while providing top quality care for our furry family of 4.

The service was swift and friendly from the staff. I brought my Australian-born American Staffy here because she was viciously attacked by the neighbor's Rottweiler and they treated her as if she were their child. I was able to pick her up not even two hours later and they did a fantastic job at stitching her up.

The best. Always gentle and concerned with my pets. They always explain things fully. Every visit here always makes me feel valued.

I like how much they genuinely care about animals and their owners. The doctors and techs are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The admin staff is nice but needs work. I booked an appointment yesterday for two tests I was told my dog needed only to find out he didn't need one and I was supposed to collect a stool sample for the other (I'll take half responsibility for this, though they should have reminded me when I booked it). Additionally, I requested a prescription for my appointment yesterday, which wasn't ready, and twice today and it still isn't ready.

Trusted Veterinary Doctors. Excellent Care. The only Vet in the area we really know we can trust to always put the best interest of our pets first.

I am writing this review with much regret, given that I have been a Stonewall customer for more than a year. Only 6 months ago, I had given the Clinic 5 stars, but the quality of their services has dramatically deteriorated since then. I am not the average pet owner who visits a vet clinic for routine yearly check-ups; I have five kitties, all adult rescues that come with a variety of chronic conditions requiring frequent appointments when flare-ups occur and, in turn, several follow-ups until resolution. Over time there was always the occasional mix-up or glitch, but nothing that ever got in the way of my pets receiving good care, or so it seemed. In the last two months, I found myself needing to visit the Clinic several weeks in a row and poor quality service was becoming more evident. There were messages not relayed to the intended recipient, scheduling errors and miscommunication in conveying (or not) pre-test instructions (i.e. fasting for blood sampling). Then, the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back came two weeks ago. I had sent an email to Dr. Perez, asking for some feedback concerning a chronic conditions for which he had treated my kitties a couple of months earlier. I never heard back from him and when I inquired the next day, I was told that the doctor was probably “in a hurry to leave for his vacation on Friday” and had failed to address my message. As bad as Dr. Perez’s unprofessionalism was (and still is), things got worse from there. The next Monday (August 10), I requested a test because my kitty’s conditions seemed to deteriorate. The test requires about 20-30 minutes but I did not hear from the Clinic for 5 hours. When I called to inquire if the lab results where in, I was told that a doctor had prescribed some meds, but the person I was speaking to was “not authorized” to share the lab results with me. I was told that the doctor “was eating” and could not be disturbed. It seemed that nobody else was available to speak to me. An hour later I arrived at the Clinic, but still no call to tell me what was happening. Finally, another doctor (Dr. Thibodeau) was kind enough to come out of the clinic and speak to me. She bears no blame for this fiasco, and tried her best to review my kitty’s record to understand what was happening. What disastrous and inept management – a complete communication breakdown: front desk, the doctor who prescribed the meds, and lab technicians. All the Front Desk person had to say was (literally) “next time, try to be more patient and understanding”. And finally, today (August 28), I had a tech appointment. When I arrived at the Clinic I called in, as required, to let them know that I was outside. I waited in my car for 30 minutes, with engine running to keep the AC going. Nobody came to collect my cat, and when I called again I was told that “Oh yes, we are having an emergency. Would you like me to find out how much longer it will take for your pet to be visited?” Emergencies by definition are unplanned, but would it be too much to ask the Front Desk staff to be aware that there are customers waiting outside with car engine running and pet in kennel and who should be informed about long delays? Perhaps all these fumbles are just “growing pains” for the Clinic, but when poor management begins to erode the quality of care administered to pets, errors are no longer acceptable. I am completely bewildered that they would treat an established customer as they did. However, just because the flaws of many are not the flaws of all, I am very grateful to Dr. Thibodeau for her willingness to step in where Dr. Perez dropped the ball. Ultimately, I calculated that to rely on her services, I would have to contend with a consistently unsteady Front desk and unorganized and unresponsive management, and that is not a trade-off I am willing to accept. If the Clinic is truly committed to its own mission (“Exceptional Care for Family Pets”) it should find a better way to put it into practice.

Dr. Kelly is and always will be the first and only choice for my family pets. She is the sweetest and most caring vet I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The front end staff is also incredibly kind and personable. I moved away from the haymarket area not too long ago but still drive there for any pet visits.

I am bringing my fifth dog here and have been coming here since soon after they open. Great vets and I've seen most of them. Prices are fair and they're not pushy about upsell here. They care about my dogs. I've been to other vets in the area and the same could not be said about those.

We have used Stonewall Veterinary Clinic for both routine and urgent services. They have always been accommodating. They provide excellent care very affordably. Our Urgent Care was just before a holiday -they had no available appointments but offered to have me drop my pet off to be evaluated between seeing patients. They were able to do a full assessment including labs and sent me home with a much happier puppy.

The staff is very professional and friendly. They love seeing your pets too. We usually see Dr. Perez only because he saw us the first time when we brought our puppy Daisy in for a check up. He was patient and answered all our questions and also presented with a warm welcome and very professional.

I truly cannot say enough about the incredible folks at Stonewall Veterinarian, from the front desk, the clinical staff, and especially, the veterinarians. Dr. Kelly has been my yorky Molly's vet for the past four years. The love and treatment she received from Dr. Kelly is immeasurable. Molly required critical care more than once as she had chronic pancreatitis and diabetes, and Dr. Kelly always responded with critical treatment and extended Molly's life by years. She called several times a week to check on Molly until Molly improved. Unfortunately, Molly could not bounce back this time and just this week she traveled over The Rainbow Bridge. With a broken thankful heart, I will always praise Dr. Kelly and the staff at Stonewall Veterinarian Clinic.

I only went in to talk to some of the staff. The dog rescue that I work with brings our dogs here. We can't say enough good about the staff and clinic!

Our Princess never liked the vet. Once she started taking her to Stonewall, she felt more at ease. I think she could tell the entire staff loves animals and would take care of her. Even at the end, they were very attentive and sweet with her. They were very polite and apathetic when we had to let her go and gave us time to stay with her. We can't thank them enough for everything they've done for us over the years. When we're ready for another pet to love, we'll be taking them to Stonewall Veterinary Clinic.

The only place to go for my fur baby. Never trying to upsell their services. Just taking good care of our little girl!

Absolute worst experience ever. Took our 12 week old puppy there and I left in tears. Dr. had no bedside manner, shared only negative traits of our breed and had to give her vaccine to her twice since the first stick failed. Front office staff was okay but waited 10-15min for our appt. Never going back.

Love this vet. They take the time necessary to get to know you and your pets. They don’t ask you to pay for unnecessary treatment and always follow up to check on your pet. Dr Faust is amazing. She personally calls to check on my dogs. She also came to greet me in the lobby and eased my mind when we had to drop our hamster off for euthanasia due to a large tumor in her ear. She only charged $15. I was as quoted $90-120 by other local vets.
