I take my puppy, Axel, & my cat, Leroy here. They were great with both. My cat got rabies shots and they even combed out all his mats for him. So nice and caring. My puppy been going since he was 6 weeks old, he's 11 weeks now. They are amazing with him. So gentle. They taught me to clip my animals nails myself as well. Their pawprint app is great with uploading all my furr babies documents& records.

My dog was in horrific dog fight and the other dogs viciously killed my poor Harley. The vet was very kind in telling me the prognosis. But because of not being able to find his certification of rabies vacconation, this faculty kept trying to make me believe they had to cut my dog's head off for testing. And that is exactly the terminology used. The overweight male vet tech kept telling me the health dept informed him they had to take the dog's head when that was untrue. When I confronted him about lying , he admitted, "Well, yes, we cannot force you to get his head tested but it is recommended." He was very crass and rude at an extremely trying time. They turned an already horrific incident into a nightmare. They literally held my dog ransom, would not put him to sleep while trying to talk me into cutting his head off, and insulted my intelligence by using persuasive tactics. So my dog laid there suffering while having to wait hours to be put to sleep. And if you wouldn't cut your own child's head off, don't ask me to cut off mine. :(

A great veterinarian office! <3 The people working at this vet clinic are very friendly and personable. They have been great with all of our cats! A couple years ago when one of our cats was suffering from kidney failure, they did everything they possibly could to save him, and when we had no further options to save him they made sure that he was as comfortable as possible in his last minutes. They were gentle when he had to be put to sleep (he was put him out of his tremendous misery and pain in a loving environment). <3 They even sent a condolences card in the mail, which was very thoughtful.

The staff of Academy Animal Hospital are great. They exhibit the highest degree of professionalism balanced with compassion for the patient and their humans. They are wonderful folks..glad they are here.
