Homeward Pet Adoption Center Woodinville, Washington

Just went through the adoption process at Homeward pet and it was awesome! I meet a couple cats over a few weeks and found the cutest little monster to take home. Homeward pet staff were incredibly friendly, supportive, and excited in my pet finding process. Watch their website for new animals as they arrive, they (thankfully) find homes quickly! Can't recommend Homeward pet enough.

I have no experience with the vets that work here but I do have experience with the clinic manager and from what Ive had to deal with trying to get my cat set up for an appointment. This place is a nightmare. You have NO room for mistakes. If you slip up even the slightest they will give an appointment (and from other commenters another pet…) to someone else and tell you “better luck next time :)”. No. Set up a schedule and function like a real business and not like a high school charity service. Take appointments as you get emails and set up booked times in advance. Dont just take vacations and come back and tell everyone email you on the 15th and only take the emails that come at 12:00-12:03 am on the 15th. An absolute joke of an establishment and an insult to people who come in there actually prepared. (For reference I emailed them 2 weeks before the deadline and again on the day of the deadline at 7 am which in my eyes is a normal time to start accepting emails. Who the **** is awake at midnight for a vet appointment scheduling)

We love this no-kill shelter and have adopted all of our pets from there for the last ten years and been a foster family for the last six. The staff are super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, including having an animal behaviorist to help with shy and reactive pets. They put in extra time and energy to make excellent matches between the animal and family so that it truly is a forever home for the animal. They're great!

Great staff, professional & compassionate with our Kaizer. He went readily into his appointment. We got a update about how his neuter went. Upon pickup he came out groggy but was glad to see us & go home. His neuter was a bit more complicated as he was cryptorchid which means only 1 testicle descended, so one was located in his abdomen & 1 was in the normal area. He was back to normal the next day after surgery. The staff was friendly, knowledgable & professional. Thank you so much to the team who took such wonderful care of Kaizer & our family. I could not recommend Homeward Pet enough! The folks that work for and volunteer at Homeward Pet are beyond wonderful and were so helpful during the adoption process and with any follow up questions/concerns. Had been thinking about adopting kitties for a while now, and I’m so glad I did! Adopted two seven month old kittens last week, and they’re the sweetest - so confident, well socialized, and settled in so well. All the kudos to the staff, and I couldn’t be happier with my new kitties! <3

I have been volunteering at the shelter the past couple of months. It has been a life changing experience, to say the least! Just being around all these wonderful animals who are cared for by amazing staff and team, gives me so much joy!!! Everyone I meet is so caring and empathetic towards these animals and wants to do the best they can to care for them and find them a forever home. I would highly recommend Homeward Pet Adoption Center to anyone planning to adopt, foster, volunteer or donate!

My Wife LOVES cats. I decided it was time to get one of our own for her birthday. We adopted the cutest kitten named Forest (We changed her name to Blue). Our kitty settled in to her new home within a few hours and is so happy! She is perfect! The pets at Homeward are truly cared for and given lots of love and attention. They even assign an adoption counselor to each visitor who knows the animals well and makes sure they go to the right new home. We are so happy, and would highly recommend you adopt here if you are considering a kitty of your own! Nothing but good things to say, couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Everyone should adopt from Homeward Pet!

It has become quite difficult to adopt an animal from Homeward Pet. If you go in person you are told that you have to go online and make an appointment to see some animals? We decided to try PAWS in Lynnwood, it was a nice, normal, caring adoption process.

Great cause n great animals

We adpoted a sweet pup through Homeward Pet and they were incredible. Our little lady, Petunia, had serious cancers and certainly would have been put down at another shelter. They did a comprehensive surgery to save Petunia's life. The staff were so helpful and forthcoming regarding Petunia's medical issues, long-term prognosis, and necessary care. They empowered us to adopt Petunia and were entirely supportive. They even provided some follow-up care for Petunia after her adoption. There are a lot of rescues in the King County area that judge potential adopters and make you feel like a bad person if you work outside the home or have basic parameters for an adoptable dog. Homeward Pet responded to our questions and concerns without judgment and made sure that we were paired with a dog who really fit our lifestyle. They also did a lovely job facilitating Petunia's meet and greet with our other pup, Atticus. This is an all-around fantastic organization run by staff and volunteers who do their utmost to help people successfully adopt pets who may otherwise be overlooked or put down. Thank you, Homeward Pet, for helping us find a wonderful family member. Petunia fills our days with laughter and joy.

This shelter has been wonderful both when we had to surrender our dog due to a unplanned move and also years later when we were looking to adopt a kitten! Wonderful people, clean environment, happy pets!

Kindest caring people I have come across

Got my two baby girls from here and I am soo happy! We love having them in our home! They were very prompt and kind during the adoption and it was handled with the utmost care and social distancing during very trying times. Can't imagine life without these babies now.

This place is great! You can tell they really care about their animals, and the adoption process is easy, yet thorough. They're taking appropriate cautions regarding covid-19 too, so I felt safe throughout the whole interaction. Plus I got to take home my sweet kitty. I highly recommend adopting from Homeward Pet. They have a great fostering program too!
