Friendly and caring staff. They offer both alternative and conventional care and take the time to really understand your pets' needs.

AWFUL AND UNCARING ..I waited six weeks to get to see Dr Chapman for my dog who had knee problems and needed therapeutic acupuncture very much. After I finally got in, we saw her fir only two visits and she went away on holiday for a month. My dog desperately needed an ongoing therapeutic regime and she knew this. I waited and finally phoned to resume ongoing treatment when she gt back and I was told I would have to wait another month. My dog went without treatment for three months and was in pain.As if that was not enough, this clinic does not take cash.I pay in cash, They will make you stand outside the building and give them exact change. When I complained about this and about no one contacting me for ongoing therapy I was told I should seek another vet. My dog now has been in pain for five months with no treatment because I trusted this vet. BIG MISTAKE. And be sure to bring exact change or forget about getting service,The dogs well being was their last consideration and I spent almost $1000 for two visits and meds and was treated like garbage..

My wife and I take both of our dogs to the vet and have always had a very good experience with Dr.Chapman. We have a 15 year old pomeranian who had alopecia, dementia and was always very shaky. Dr.Chapman prescribed her herbs and her hair has grown back in bald spots. She is also less shaky and anxious. She did the neuter for our husky and the incision was almost completely healed by day two! We don't go to the vet often but know we are in great and caring hands when we do.

Vets are good. More importantly dogs like going there.

Always good service and fair pricing. Not your typical vet maxing out your bill, refreshing! Not too excited about the long wait to get an appointment or having to wait outside before seeing the Doctor but with Sars-Cov-2 society has gone mad. Not their fault but did like it better before. Perfect receptionist, kind and compassionate, a keeper. Been a client since they opened and though the people change, the service is always first class. If you are new to Kindred Spirits fear not, you are in good hands. Bailey the Wonderdog concurs. Arf Arf

I've been bringing my pets here for years. I don't think it's possible to have a better team of caring vets. They've not even been able to hear two of my cats' heartbeat because they won't stop purring!! ♥️????♥️

An amazing team of knowledgeable, understanding, passionate and honest professionals. Kindred Spirits takes all things into consideration when caring for your pets; for example, if you have indoor only or elderly cats, they will not force (and charge for) unnecessary vaccinations suited to outdoor or younger cats. They've been so supportive to me and my cats for over a decade; I love them.

Dr. Chapman was the first doctor in years that I felt took the time to look at every lipoma that both of my dogs have and really examined each one. Really asked questions and also answered thoughtfully all of the questions that I had. Really amazing Doctor.

I am blown away by the service we've received so far with the whole team. For a holistic approach which incorporates TCM, I recommend Corrine, who is kind, patient and thorough.

My cat would give this place 5 ????. Actually my cat is full of attitude so it would be 5 claw marks or 5 pee spots. So...That is why I left the review.

I was told that they are not accepting new clients at this time. Yet, the previous reviewer said it was her 'first' time and her post was made 2 weeks ago. Also, if you're not accepting new clients then put that on your website. Don't waste people's time, especially if they need someone's help.

Hands down – the best vet we had so far! Dr. Chapman probably saved our dog’s life (she has Addison’s disease, and it was a difficult diagnosis). I do not often write reviews… but… Kindred Spirits is doing a truly great job

Unfortunately, my dog suffered a herniated disc in her back - which cut off her ability to feel her hind legs (falling all over the place)... 3 weeks I spent with this clinic- 3 different vets looking at her ($$$$$). One vet had no idea and started chiro on her back (making her injury worse). Another vet told me “well the good news is there’s nothing you can do to make it worse” (which led me to believe it was nothing serious - and she worsened again after this). Third vet admitted they didn’t know what it was and that I should see a neurologist specialist in Vancouver. Once I got to Vancouver- they told me what had happened. My dog had a serious injury that should have been addressed with surgery immediately. Due to kindred spirits poor advice - we waited THREE WEEKS, before she finally had surgery. This unnecessary delay- meant that my dog lost a significant chance to recover - she now can barely walk by herself- an outcome that would have been drastically different had the vets at kindred spirits been able to diagnose properly and in a timely matter. I am heartbroken to say the least. Be careful if you take your pet here- always get a second opinion.

I had a new puppy exam scheduled a few months ago that I ended up cancelling due to poor customer service. I called in advance of the appointment to ask a few questions and was treated in an impolite manner that made me feel stupid for even asking the questions. I manage a small business in Victoria and understand the importance of a customers first impressions and if I could give a suggestion for the business it would be to train any staff who answer the phone to value the importance of this. I have since found a vet who welcomes questions and understands that a little customer service can go a long way.

This animal hospital is amazing. Have been taking my dog there for the past 6 years. They are kind, compassionate and take extremely good care of her. They don't recommend services I don't need, and I think the prices are incredibly fair, especially for Victoria. Have never had a single negative experience here. All of the doctors I've had appointments with have been SO NICE!

I had a very unpleasant experience one of the receptionists at this clinic. My dog and I were new to the clinic. I had taken him there because he is elderly and had been suffering from diarrhea for four months and which other vets had been unable to treat. Shortly after my second appointment I phoned, very concerned because my little dog was having ongoing episodes of diarrhea. With each episode he would cry out in pain. After calling the vet and having some back and forth conversations with reception staff I was told by one receptionist that, the clinic was "in over it's head" when it came to the treatment of my dog and that they weren't able to treat his chronic diarrhea; "there's nothing we can do". I was then told to take my dog to Central Vet to see if they could help him. The next week I called to rebook an appointment and to get a refill of his medication. The same receptionist, as I later discovered, then made up some medical information about why one prescription would not be refilled and stated again that there was nothing the clinic could do to help my little dog. It was only when, later in the day, I was able to speak to a veterinarian that the confusion and ill will this receptionist had created was set aside. It appears that this receptionist was speaking out on her own and without the authority or knowledge of the veterinarians. She had, for some unknown reason, thought herself qualified enough to give me medical information and to deliver a prognosis on my dogs health without being properly informed. This woman also purported to set out a formal position of the clinic when she told me the clinic did have the necessary resources to treat chronic diarrhea. I hope that by making this post and speaking with one of their veterinarians the clinic can better manage this employee. She had me in tears a number of times and, since she knew how concerned I was about my frail little dog, her behavior seems wantonly cruel. I still hold this clinic in high regard but, in my opinion, the owners need to establish firm rules to guide this receptionist's behavior.

Been to 6 different vets regarding my shiba's chronic ear infections. First one to finally sit down with me and discuss health, underlying causes, and strategies, not just put antibiotics in the ear and be at the vet every few months. Thank you!!! Exactly what I was looking for, could not be more grateful.
