Had to take my little old man to the vet and I have never been disappointed with this team. They were kind, patient, understanding, and empathetic to my reason for visiting them. I highly recommend their services for your fur babies ????

The receptionist was the most entitled person with the worst attitude I have ever encountered for someone in a service role. She had us wait for 15 minutes without addressing us, I was rushing as it was 20 minutes past our appointment at that point, only for her to tell us we were not in the system. We had email confirmations and said I could show her them. She completely disregarded that I had proof that we had set up the appointment weeks ago. When I left, she yelled YOU’RE WELCOME aggressively at me as I left. Go somewhere else! No need to have this type of experience. The staff at Red Maple is incredibly kind. You might try there instead.

Everything was great! It was an easy visit for me and the (new to us) cat. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, with a smile. Veterinarian spent time answering all my questions, giving me good suggestions on cat's care moving forward.

While it was hard getting an appointment with them, once we were seen it was a wonderful experience. We were promptly let into the exam room. Our kitten was weighed and measured. And then taken to see the Vet. The Vet was forthcoming in our options for care. I plan to continue with our kitten’s care from them.

I was hesitant to go to a corporate clinic but I was wrong. The team at Wellhaven - Downtown Vancouver are amazing! Even with how busy they are I feel like my kitties are their only patients when we are there. I've seen two different vets there and both treated me like they really care about my fur babies. I'm so glad I made the switch to Wellhaven.

This place started out really great but has gone downhill! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else that has professional people who care about your pets! When the the front desk person doesn't even have any common sense and doesn't show any kind of caring attitude towards a pet then it's time to take my business and $ to someone that cares!

Dr. Hashamoto is awesome. He treats my 2 boyz (Golden Retrievers) like they're his own. He always takes the time to explain what is best for them, whether it's a diet plan, preventative health care or a needed procedure. He keeps their health a priority and only recommends what is necessary or best for them.

Modifying review. I have had good experiences the two times I visited. Exam fees reasonable and now can go inside with your pet which I prefer. Diagnostic costs are above market price so perhaps get xrays and blood work quotes elsewhere. They have been more accurate in diagnostics than other vets I've gone too and if not an emergency, they can schedule an appointment soon rather than waiting a long time like at other vet clinics.

It was clean and the staff were awesome and they listen to my concerns and Cynthia was very nice to check in our kids and I felt that the kids were in good hands ❤️

WellHaven is not my regular vet but after calling my vet as well as many other vet offices with an emergency and not being able to be seen, WellHaven was able to get my cat in within a couple of hours. So so helpful, friendly and professional with EXCELLENT care. Dr Carey is fantastic at explaining the current condition, treatment and home care as well as possible emergency hospital care. Thank you!

I brought two of my senior dogs to this location. We were in and out under an hour. They explained everything to me, went over all charges, and made us feel valued. I definitely like this location and the staff.

I loved this clinic until last week. DR Hashimoto and staff were polite and very informative. Alas last week they recruited a new staff member that between questions had to put me on hold for 5 mins per question instead of bringing in someone with experience. To add insult to injury she covered her lack of knowledge with arrogance.. alas now despite liking the vet i can no longer bring myself to go back I requested my pets medical records as i said i wanted to now change vets. I got a prompt response but then when asked for her to put me in touch with someone that could help me terminate my animal wellness plans no feedback. Im thinking the new girl had no desire to pass that message on.

Vet is good when they are there to see your pet. However morning appointment are dodgy at best. Vet is constantly late for morning appointments by at least 30 minutes or more. Vet techs don’t seem to see an issue with leaving you waiting without a heads up regarding the vet being late.

I brought a friend's pup to his vet appointment at the downtown Vancouver office. Unfortunately, we were running about 10 minutes late. I called the office and they gave me the thumbs up to still come in, stating that their normal policy is to reschedule after 10 minutes of no show, as they run a tight ship. I completely understand and respect this. We showed up and tried to call to get in, but no one answered the phone for several minutes. I then was able to get through to someone on the phone to let them know we had arrived, and he informed me that our appointment would need to be rescheduled. I explained the previous conversation I had, and he proceeded to interrupt me several times in order to reiterate their late show policy. I then suggested that maybe the reason he continued to interrupt me was all the street and construction noise, but I would really appreciate it if we could pause and if he would be willing to listen to what I was trying to say. He proceeded to tell me that I didn't have to be rude and hung up the phone on our conversation. I then decided to go ahead and proceed inside the building to gather contact information for someone else. At this point, it wasn't even about the misinformation I was given about being able to get in late, but the way I was treated over the phone was so unbearably bizarre. I shared my experience with the person who let me in and asked for a manager phone number to call to share my experience. She proceeded to give me the email address of the SAME EMPLOYEE who hung up on me! I ended up calling another branch of Well Haven to get the proper phone number to call to chat with someone. It has been a long time since I have felt this embarrassed for a company on how they treated one of their customers. If this is any indication of how they treat the animals that come in, I will never be a patron of this business. Please take your pets elsewhere if you value the way they serve their customers. EDIT: After their response to this review, I'd like to point out the following: 1. No one from Well Haven, from the corporate office or this location has taken the time to call me back to discuss this issue, but somehow someone found the time to respond to a negative review. 2. Way to take ZERO accountability for your employee's actions today. Instead of actually apologizing for the poor conduct, you have tried to level the field by saying you are sorry for my interpretation of the situation, and have suggested that I could have been the cause of the issues. I would invite you to review the telephone conversations today for quality assurance so you may indeed look at how YOUR business can be improved. Bottom line: I didn't deserve to be treated poorly today.

5/21/2020 My first appointment at WellHaven Pet Health- Downtown Vancouver for my 15 week old puppy "Rowdy" was excellent. This was my first encounter with WellHaven Pet Health- Downtown Vancouver as I was looking for a new veterinarian for my new mini schnauzer puppy. They met all my expectations and verified their 5 Star Rating. Entire process from scheduling, intake, consultation,exam and overall wellness care for Rowdy is great. Dr Hashimoto ,Bethany and all staff are very professional and communicated well with me. I strongly recommend WellHaven Pet Health- Downtown Vancouver. Thank you Rowdy & Monte Ownbey

My husband was 12 minutes late due to the construction around their building and they refused to see my dogs and blamed him for being late. They were extremely rude. And could not be professional.

I came here to get my pet put down because of a sickness she had. I paid and signed forms to get her paw print before she got cremated just to find out 3 weeks later, without any notice, that somehow there was a mistake and that it didn’t get done. She was my beloved pet, and I am beyond mad about this. Very unprofessional staff who didn’t even get back to me after a week of wait time, like they told me it would take. I had to call every 4 days to see what was happening. & now they tell me it never even got done. I do not recommend going here for your pets.

Everyone here is amazing!! We bring in strays, fosters and adopted pets and they always lead us in the right direction. Thanks for always loving us and our pets!! Wouldn’t go anywhere else

My dog was very sick and my own vet wouldn't see her. WellHaven got me in the same day and the Vet she saw was excellent. My dog is now doing better thanks to WellHaven.

They were able to get my cat in for an appointment within the week. They called me many times and communicated throughout her entire visit (because I couldn't be in the appointment with her due to covid restrictions). They were informative and thorough. She was so calm when I picked her up that it was clear they were very good with her.

WellHaven Pet Health does a great job with my dog. He has been fired by other vets, yet always enters WellHaven with no hesitation. They are very good about communicating and I have been very impressed with their service.

I take my birds there and they are very knowledgeable and great with them, as well as my fur baby , I could NOT be more pleased with a pet health facility, and even with this virus they have been open and there for OUR pets. "AWESOME" caring, place I cannot comment at this time of the inside due to the GREAT social distancing they are practicing, BUT trust if not good I will be else where and let ya'll know , they deserve more then 5 star's .

I didn’t even make it to the facility. On the way to my appointment, I knew I’d be running late with traffic going as slow as a slug. I called in to inform the front desk while my toddler was screaming in the back seat. The front desk answering service must have assumed it was a wrong dial and hung up on me. I called back in and told her she hung up on me but that I’d be a bit behind with traffic going so slow. Rather than listening at all, she corrects me telling me that it is only just past 4. I can tell time. I told her that traffic was moving very slow, and she then told me that if I was over 10 minutes late they would need to reschedule. I CANNOT control traffic nor is that easy with a toddler and a puppy. Your business needs to hire folks with empathy, please. Thank you for being the cherry on top of a bad day. I will not be utilizing your services but rather Banfield. I heard really good things about this place, but an answering gal with an attitude should not happen.
