Every so often, one of my dogs get nicked while being groomed, then the next day I notice a scab. I'm never told about it when I pick my doggos up.

Request Rebeca specifically and you won't be disappointed! She does such a Beautiful job, especially with Cats!!! Which can be hard to find. She loves what she does and it shows through her work. I 100% recommend her to everyone I know in the area.

Brought in my dog to get nails clipped and he had extreme anxiety and is a nipper did to previous owner kennel him so the time so he has social issues. After nuzzling him the two ladies cave and got him and assured me he was going to be fine I had so much anxiety from previous death of a dog and I suffer from PTSD for to him passing and those ladies were so reassuring to me and I will definitely be back as well as refer anyone to give see you thanks to the two wonderful ladies for all you help

They CARE about the animals here and their management works to see that their customers are treated with professionalism and kindness.

I went here because every dog grooming spot in Portland is booked out weeks in advance. It was one of the only places that I could get an appointment in more immediately. My doodle’s hair on his head is hanging in his eyes and he’s been having trouble seeing. It was urgent to get a very minimal trim. When I showed up to get him they did nothing besides a bath and brush (which is something I do frequently myself!). Then processed to charge me full price! The whole experience was a very anxious feeling for me as a human from the minute I dropped him off to leaving from picking him up. If I felt that way I can’t imagine how my little pup felt! Not to mention they had him for four hours! No wonder he was so nervous and protective while being groomed! Then after returning home I read a lot of the reviews on google. They had a lot of good reviews, but I also read a decent amount of reviews from people that had very similar experiences to me. The number of negative reviews outweighs the positive reviews. It was enough for me to realize that it wasn’t my or my dog's fault for the lack of grooming ( and yes they did try and blame it on me)! I just wish that I spent the time reading these reviews before giving them my service and money. The groomers definitely have issues doing their job, particularly with anxious dogs! I will never come back here, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

I saw they had an opening today, so I called to get my med/long hair cat in. They took her in almost immediately and were done an hour later - reducing the stress on my cat. Rebeca was apologetic that she couldn't get my cat as smooth as she wanted, but I think she did an AWESOME job. Cats are finicky and mine is no exception - Rebeca did amazingly and was super communicative. Mats are gone, cat is soft, cat is clean, and I am happy! Will definitely bring her back in!

I will never refer someone to frankos, ever again after todays visit, my dogs were having a rough time today at their salon, and failed to inform us until my boyfriend picked them up, and when I called to ask them why I wasn’t notified they said because they got to busy….very unprofessional and loves to make excuses 10/10 wouldn’t recommend

I really appreciate the ladies here. They do such a good job. We have been bringing our cat here since he was a wee kitten and he always smells so nice and is so soft after a grooming.

Overall I do like Frankos but I called today to make an appointment. The lady who answered asked if I can hold, I said yes. I heard her put the receiver down and I was able to listen to her whole conversation with not a client but rather coworkers. I listen for around 5 minutes and finally hung up. I can understand being put on hold if your helping other clients but not to carry on a lengthy conversation with coworkers with total disregard to the potential clients.

They do a great job with Cooper and Moose. Love the bandannas they put on the dogs when they're done.

I have never left a negative review before, but I was horrified with the service my dogs received at Franko's. We have two doodles who were shaved to the bone, after we explicitly said that we wanted to keep them as fluffy as possible. Multiple patches of long fur that were missed. The night after grooming, our dog developed an ear infection that we were told was due to trapped water in the ear after bathing at the groomers. He shook his ears so bad that he developed bleeding and had to be put in a cone, and on antibiotics. He also had a large cut near his groin, as well as a large patch of razor burn. Manager Amanda was extremely condescending and unhelpful, telling us that our dog had matting and we were to blame. Our dog has NEVER had an ear infection (let alone a double ear infection), and has gone to multiple other groomers without any issues. She offered us a 20% discount at our next visit, I would never ever take my dog back there.

There a bit like Supercuts for doggies. Quick and consistent. We have always taken our dogs there. Affordable and both golden retrievers are usually done within 3 hours with an appointment.

Took my two dogs in to get groomed, picked up dog 4 hours later which was absurd and my dog had a huge goose egg on his nose. I asked what happened and nobody knew. My husky smelled burnt and nails “couldn’t have been done” but I was charged for it

I was able to chat with the groomer who would be working on him. She was responsive, asked questions and allowed me to ask questions, and really listened to me. The haircut was perfect! I’ve had bad experiences with other groomers—Franko’s is different! Definitely take your pet here. I come all the way from Portland just to come to Franko’s.

Great place get dogs washed and nails clipped. Very efficient and nice staff.

My kitty is not the easiest kitty to handle. They did amazing with her and didn't even complain despite me being sure they struggled with her.

We went there with no apt. They got my girls (two dogs Bonnie and Bailey) In Right away for their nails to be trimmed and glands to be expressed. They asked questions and listened to what we said. Very nice girls and very quick and professional. My girls loved them. They even gave them both a Christmas bandanna.

The best EVER grooming business. They love our animals and treat them as they should, "LOVED". I like the options they have such as; teeth brushing and scaling teeth if needed. Nail shaving after they're clipped. Friendly staff, safe observance of COVID-19 and very well trained groomers.

They have done a good job on both our dogs over the past 2 years. My dogs are older, and not the easiest to groom. They give breaks as needed and have been good to accommodate our requests as well.

They're very gentle with my senior dog.

I have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy. He's a labradoodle and is a lot of work to groom. They always do a great job. The pricing is equally good and the service has been nothing less than excellent. I highly recommend Franko's grooming!
