Dr. Cleveland has been incredible since our first visit for my French bulldog, Kali. As a Frenchie Kali finds herself in trouble With various health issues and Dr. Cleveland has been phenomenal every time. She is caring, communicative and kali is always excited for her appointments. Highly recommend Columbia vet.

I have been a patient at CVC since 2006. I have always been satisfied with my care there first with Dr. Cleveland and now with Dr. Gauer. I understand that since Covid things are different but unfortunately have affected the care animals are getting. My dog turns 15 next month and she developed a tumor this summer. I took her in and a vet that I hadn’t seen before said to just keep an eye on it for some reason rather than checking what is was. I called back as it started to grow larger but couldn’t be seen for 6 weeks. When she was finally seen, I was told it was most likely cancerous and they could treat it with an injection but due to her age she is not a good surgery candidate. Also that this type of tumor releases a lot of histamine and she could’ve gone into anaphylactic shock at any time. I don’t understand when I scheduled her appointment they didn’t see this as priority? Not being seen for 6 weeks on a situation like this is really inexcusable. Annual check up’s can wait. I feel let down from a place I’ve trusted my animals to for 16 years.

They always do a fabulous job here. Today one of my kitties had a dental with several tooth extractions and they took the time to explain everything and how to do post extraction care at home. They are also very kind with both myself and my pets.

All of the staff are friendly and helpful. They always take time to answer questions and explain. My dog was diagnosed with cancer recently and they have been so understanding and helpful. I have dealt with Dr. Y( as she is called ) with Jackson my dog and I couldn't have asked for a better vet and person to care for him. I also have dealt with 2 other doctors at this clinic and all are very good. Thank you to all of them for their kindness and knowledge when it comes to taking care of the animals who are family members in our homes.

My 15-year-old tuxedo cat, Jack, desperately needed dental work and was losing weight because of his sore mouth. Columbia Veterinary Center kept him on their wait list for a dental cleaning with anaesthesia, and -- sure enough -- one of their helpful staff called me immediately when a cancellation opened an earlier appointment than the one I had made. Dr. Langer also phoned ahead and thoroughly explained what to expect from a dental cleaning plus extractions. On the day of the procedure, everyone involved took great care of my elderly cat!

Prices are fair, and they listen to what works best for my dog. They're great at fitting you in for emergencies, but it can be hard to schedule anything else.

My GrandPitty Jet injured his leg and Dr Cleveland and staff were able to get him right in! Within 30 mins of dropping Jet off, Dr Cleveland called me with her exam results. Dr. Cleveland gave us terrific advice and Jet was better in just a couple of days. Dr. Cleveland and staff at Columbia River Vet Clinic were amazing! They are now Jet’s new provider! Pricing is incredible also! Working in the Animal Health industry myself, I know what to look for in a good practice and this is it! We LOVE you guys! ❤️

This has been our vet for a long time for good reason. The only thing they could do to improve would be to be open 24/7. Not very feasible but it bites having to go somewhere else after hours when your pet is dying. They are also clever and adaptive for this whole Covid thing. No that doesn't mean you dont have to wear a mask. It does mean they take extra measures that actually do work and make a difference.

My dog had a deep four inch gash in her foot that was gushing blood so I called them to get her in and they told me it would be a 12 hour wait. This is the second time they were unable to get one of my pets in.

Columbia veterinary center took a interest in my pet Katie. After taking Katie to another well-known veterinary service in Vancouver Katie still had the same symptoms as what I initially took her into the veterinary office for. After the first visit at Columbia veterinary center I spoke with the veterinarian on a follow-up call. Not only did she show an interest but she came in on her day off to write another prescription for my pet Katie's condition. In my opinion she went above and beyond to ensure that my pet got the care needed to help her condition. Because of covid restrictions I wasn't able to speak with the same veterinarian at the other establishment for follow-up care. Not only that but we had to go back on two occasions to get the prescriptions right for my pet's medication. Not only did I talk with the veterinarian over the phone for my pet Katie but instead of letting one of the assistants bring out the medications with instructions the veterinarian actually came out to meet me and make sure that I understood the instructions on the prescription. I would recommend Columbia veterinary service or anybody that has a personal interest in their pets.

Probably should update website to show not taking new patients so people don’t have to sit through phone prompts. Then to wait for a specialist to tell them, unfortunately we are not accepting new patients.
