They are very professional. They were also very compassionate, patient and kind to my scared Great Dane puppy. Even though I could not go in because of COVID, I could tell my pup had a great experience by her demeanor after her check up. Huge difference from vet visits elsewhere. Thank you Metropolitan Vet!

I became a client at Met Vet approximately six months ago, after realizing I needed to switch away from a previous veterinarian who was negligent and honestly down right terrible. At the time I owned a 12 year old large breed dog, a 14 year old cat, and a 6 year old cat. My dog in particular had a number of complicated health issues related to her advancing age and my 14 year old cat was in need of an "old man" shave on his hind legs because he has slowly become a less effective groomer with age. Met Vet got us in for appointments for all three pets in a very quick amount of time for a new client during a world wide pandemic. Their care of my pets has been exemplary. Not only did they care for both of my cats with expert skill, one of whom is quite shy and my previous vet refused to handle her alone, they also started my dog on a new medication regimen that significantly improved her quality of life (my previous vet simply said "Let us know when you're ready to put her down" whenever I had questions about if we could do more to make her life better). This weekend my dog's health declined abruptly. Met Vet got us in for an appointment the very next morning at 9am, despite the fact that I was calling very late at night (right before they closed). They made every effort to assist us in supporting our aging dog, offering us a new medication option to see if that would help her improve. When it didn't, they supported us in finding home euthanasia care on a Saturday afternoon. On Monday morning I received a call, unprompted, from the veterinarian who cared for my dog on Friday. She simply wanted to offer her condolences and check in with us to see if we were alright. Met Vet has astounded me with their care, compassion, and the way they go above and beyond for all of their patients and their owners. Thank you so much for making my dog's last months happy and as pain free as possible.

Excellent care and service here, I was able to make a prompt appointment for the next morning for my kitten Goose. We were seen right away upon arrival and all the staff were wonderful, we got a thorough explanation of all his prescriptions and care instructions.

Very knowledgeable about requirements for flying to Hawaii. My dog is anxious and they knew just how to help the situation

Incredibly helpful staff and really great actually interact/communicate with the vet. Took care of our pup on a short timeline and he is doing great. Appreciated them taking the time to explain the issue and walk us through dog care issues we didn't know about.

Scheduling, payments, meds, surgeries and more they make as seamless as it can be. They always inform you in detail of everything going on. I've been taking my kitty Tipsi to Met Vet for 6 years, they have always provided excellent service. This year my cat had a tumor that needed removal, I can't thank Dr. Gordon, Heather and other support staff enough for the care, support and reliable communication during this process. It made the experience an easier one on both myself and my Tipsi "toast"

We changed to them after our previous vet ignored signs of a urinary blockage that left my cat in an emergency vet office needing surgery. They have been amazing! We just got a kitten and established care for him here. They are patient, understanding, and treat my cats like family. I am very pleased. I recomend them to anyone with pets.

Did not care my dog of 16 years was sick. They would not see me without appointment. Next day I got into a caring vet . That one day made a huge difference. My dog would have survived but died because of one day from pancratitus. you guys play God with peoples family members and you will be judged .

We have seen a handful of veterinarians since moving to the area as I have a fair amount of vet med knowledge and tried somewhere new every time I sensed/knew something was off.... and none compare to Met Vet. Dr. Neeson is fantastic with my two cats, even the one that has pretty much nonstop health issues. I've been happy with my girls' care for everything from routine visits to dentals, severe allergies and a false heart disease diagnosis given elsewhere which turned out to be hyperthyroidism. We can't say enough good things about the clinic, Dr. Neeson, *and* the front office staff/techs who are always helpful.

My cats have seen a few vets in their time. This was the WORST ever!!! They actually asked me to sign a DNR for an elective teeth cleaning. They shouldn't need a DNR for healthy pets. That would only be needed for seriously hurt or ill pets, you would think. Healthy pets needing resuscitation means they made a mistake with anastasia. Asking ahead of time made me go elsewhere for their dental needs. Then,,, the vet told me she preferred horses and hated cats. I was done with them! I got their shots for the year and found a new provider the very next day.

Metropolitan veterinary hospital has been my primary vet for my dogs for a few years. I can not recommend them enough. The staff is caring, professional and reliable. I have a hard time going anywhere else because I trust them so much. I make the drive from Olympia just to come out there. They will take great care of your fur babies.

It's hard being a vet during the pandemic. Metro Vet has done a great job. Not all problems are easy but they will always try hard to figure it out and give you options.

Two months ago my sweet Freckles had to be put down after a valiant fight against FIP. About 10 days before she passed, I brought her into Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital (MetVet) to have her seen due to some concerns with her health. Dr. Jeanne Neeson and I spoke on the phone during Freckles' first visit. She informed me of her initial results and a clear path to next measures. She would later inform me that she suspected FIP. The next day Freckles was brought back for an ultrasound and the suspected diagnosis was quickly the focus of her treatment. It would take a few days to cement this finding, but we were provided instructions on how to manage her care with the greatest empathy I've ever experienced with a veterinary practice. In the time before she passed, Dr. Neeson and literally everyone else at MetVet showed great amounts of compassion, love, and excruciating care in everything they do. They were all rooting for Freckles along the way. This continued through Freckles' passing and in the time after. Freckles' remains and other items of remembrance I received as part of the private ceremony were beyond my expectations. Because of the experience Freckles and I were provided, for as long as I can make it to MetVet, I will exclusively take any future pets to their practice. I will only recommend MetVet to friends, family, and anyone else that inquires. Simply put - if you want the absolute best care for your pet, take them to MetVet.

I visited this veterinarian yesterday to check for vaccinations for my new puppy only to find the receptionist to be extremely short and rude with me. Instead of being professionally greeted I was met with “What do you want?” I found this unfortunate due to the fact that the last time my family visited this Vet to inquire information about them, we found the staff very warm and friendly. I recommended this veterinarian to a lot of friends based on my first experience and this is something that I now truly regret.

We discovered MetVet when we were looking to adopt a senior shelter cat as they partner with the Tacoma Humane Society and often keep (pre-covid at least) some at the office. We ended up adopting Lunar and since they do have a lot of experience with cats we opted to make them our vet for our other 2 kitties and the dog. Staff are always friendly and courteous! I really appreciate the fact that if I call when it's busy they actually ask and wait for a response before placing me on hold; so many places do not which-to me-is extremely rude. Doctors never rush through an appointment and are always willing to answer questions and discuss treatment options.

Having to bring your pet to a vet during a pandemic is stressful not being able to go inside with them , this was a first time visit and everyone was just amazing and the curbside visit went smoothly. They are so accommodating and friendly. During my call with the Dr to explain her findings , the call dropped and before I could even call the receptionist back , the Dr had come out to the car and introduced herself. I forgot to ask to have my pugs nails cut and they were willing to take him back in and do it for me and he willingly trotted right back in which tells me he enjoyed his visit. Thank you to everyone working there and I’ll be back in July with my other pug ????????????❤️

Best vet visit ever! Finding a good vet is a difficulty in itself. I found a great one!! Being a new puppy mom and am overly protective. Only the best for my pup! My 6 month old puppy had a wonderful and positive experience. They answered all my questions and we felt very well taken care of.

Out of the 13 years I've owned animals, this place is the best. Very nice, very responsive, very professional and I love that they care so much about the animals comfort ❤️ you guys rock. Will be taking my babies here from now on.
