Very friendly staff and took amazing care of my dog. We admittedly were not able to take him to the vet for years and I was anxious about being judged as a bad parent, but the staff was so kind and the vet was wonderful.

We have taken our dogs here for 10 years. DR. K and Dr. Jen are very professional and have treated both us and our dogs great. Highly recommend

Dr. K is very compassionate and you can tell she genuinely cared for my cat, whom she just met. The place is quite expensive though. I appreciate their help getting my cat feeling a lot better.

My wife has been taking our dogs here for a couple years now. One of our pooches recently passed away due to old age and they were very helpful and easy to talk to about the issues at hand.

Made an appointment to see a vet but there was no vet. Just a vet tech who still extracted 70 bucks from me for a small package of "probiotics". Not impressive.

Dr. K and the rest of the staff are very professional and passionate. They take care of my American Eskimo and my Ragdoll cats. The initial exam fee is a bit higher than some places, but everything else is less. The medication, surgery etc. all extremely reasonable. Worth going 100%. I've never felt this comfortable taking my pets anywhere before. I appreciate their transparency. I feel as though they have my pets best interest at heart. It's very hard to trust anyone these days. Thanks for taking good care of Chimo!

We’ve been bringing our two dogs here since we got them in April and August of 2019. We left our previous vet due to a move, but more importantly due to their lack of care for our previous dog - we felt like we were just $$ to them. That is NOT the case at SSVH. Dr Jen tends to our dogs most of the time, and she, the other vets, and the rest of the staff at SSVH are always so kind and compassionate, and they treat our dogs like their own. We have a very nervous and fearful rescue Chihuahua who is showered with adoration every time she has to go for shots or a check up - they keep her so calm! HIGHLY recommend this vet hospital.

Dr. K and the staff at SSVH provide outstanding veterinary services to our dog. We transferred to this practice at the recommendation of our breeder and have been very happy customers. Thank you for the wonderful service! Highly recommend.

This vet took such amazing care of both my mum's kittycat and of my mum when it came time to put her cat to sleep. They were so kind and had such a comforting calm set up for the whole affair, it made a difficult and sad process much easier for everybody. Thank you so much!

Very good. I've only been going there for a few years now. I really like Dr. Jen, she's very nice and caring. They were great today with my dog. I miss that they quit their grooming though. They were so good they were always booked.

Very caring and efficient service @ SSVH. Both vets are so lovely in their handling of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and I 100% trust them.

***EDIT - Dr. K reached out to my partner and I taking accountability and apologized for these incidents. I am changing my review only for this as I do appreciate her reaching out. Unfortunately this still occurred so I won’t be removing this post. Long story short we moved from Vancouver to South Surrey and had to find a new vet. This place had wonderful reviews so we thought how could we go wrong? After our first initial visit we were very satisfied and thought the vet was friendly and knowledgeable. As owners we trust our vet to let us know when our vaccinations are due for our dog (we sent whatever information they had requested from our previous vet + they could of called and confirmed anything they wanted). Our dog's vaccination refresh date came and left without any correspondence from our vet. We just assumed that he is up to date on his vaccinations until we checked his paperwork as we were getting concerned that last he had gotten them was over a year now. When we called and asked them why they never sent out reminders they told us their systems had crashed or updated (I can't remember the specific reason) and they lost his files. I asked "why didn't you call to let us know the files were lost etc. We could of just sent whatever you needed." No response to that. We take him in for the vaccinations he was due for in July in August (1 month late) and again assume everything is done correctly. We are once again satisfied. TODAY (Dec 16th 2020) I go to take my dog to a daycare and they inform me he doesn't have his rabies vaccine to my shock. I call our vet again and ask them "what happened as when we came in last we asked to ensure our dog was up to date." The administrator kindly explained that unless we SPECIFICALLY request the rabies vax they won't do it. Which no one had informed us about, and again as we are NOT the experts in pet care we trusted our vets office to be the ones to inform us. Lesson learned here. All in all we will not be returning. The staff is nice I will definitely admit to that much and I understand human errors occur, however, twice is too much for us to risk our dog's health. I wouldn't accept this negligence from my own doctor so why would I do the same for our dog.

Our Poodle/terrier cross Jackson has been a loyal friend for 17 years. However over the last year his eyesight and hearing had failed to such a level he was having a difficult time getting around. Last spring the family did a online survey about his quality of life status and we all graded him poor to very poor. I contacted South Surrey Vet and eventually discussed options with Dr. Meagher. We made plans to put Jackson down in our back yard. Covid challenges everything however and tare plans didn't materialize. So we struggled on giving Jackson a last summer. But in late August he was suffering so much we made the decision the time had come to do the right thing. Jackson always had an aversion to Vets and we hadn't met Dr. Meagher before but plans were made. We arrived, and with Covid, we had to socially distance with Jackson handed off to an Assistant outside. We rejoining him a short time later in the Vets Family room with IV in and a little sedated. The room was warm, inviting and relaxing providing a nice place for my family to visit our old friend one last time. We all held him, reminisced and said our goodbyes. Dr Meagher eventually attended when we were ready and the final injection given. He passed on in my sons arm with all of us holding onto him. When we were ready Dr. Meagher gently took Jackson away, she was also touched by his passing. We kept some personal mementos. Its been two months now and we still hear him, see him and miss him dearly. But we are thankful for the professionalism, respectfulness and kindness given to our old friend by Dr. Meagher et al during that challenging time. Highly recommended. Wheelchair accessible.

I've written reviews for South Surrey Veterinary Hospital in the past, but I wanted to add a NEW one to thank all staff members so much for taking such compassionate and gentle care of BraveHeart, who is now visiting you every second day for subcutaneous fluids to treat his advanced kidney disease. This is a difficult process for us all - humans and BraveHeart! - and the extra TLC and patience with BraveHeart are so appreciated. THANK YOU.

I called South Surrey Vet yesterday to get some information on booking an appointment with one of their vets for when I get my new puppy. The girl I talked to was so nice and informative. Answered my many questions and helped me figure out what the next shots should be. I can’t wait to bring my puppy for her first check up !

Took my dog Nike here for the first time this past weekend, as I recently moved into the area and needed a new vet. The experience I had was fantastic from the moment I got there! The lady who took in my dog was very professional, kind, and reassuring (it is always scary to give your dog to a stranger). They had Covid practices in place that made you feel very safe. I was told that the vet would be calling me after my dog's appointment, due to Covid, but shortly after Dr. Jen came out herself holding my dog to introduce herself since it was my first time there! Dr. Jen was very friendly and I could tell she put a lot of effort and care into making sure my little guy was healthy. I am so thankful I found a vet that I can trust!! Thank you guys for the amazing service!!!!

Here we are... three years since my last review! I wanted to add a NEW one to thank all staff members so much for taking such compassionate and gentle care of BraveHeart, who is now visiting you every second day for subcutaneous fluids to treat his advanced kidney disease. This is a difficult process for us all - humans and BraveHeart! - and the extra TLC and patience with BraveHeart are so appreciated. THANK YOU. -------------------- We recently moved and needed to find a veterinarian(s) for our precious BraveHeart. We went through many online reviews of several facilities in our area and decided to choose South Surrey Veterinary Hospital based on exceptional reviews. We are so glad that we choose this place. Both Dr. Kortschak and Dr. Meagher are phenomenal, displaying grace and compassion not only to BraveHeart but to us - the Guardians. We have met with both doctors and each is extremely knowledgeable, answered our questions/concerns with such patience (thank you!), and took the time to fully comprehend BraveHeart's needs. We've also had opportunities to meet several staff members who are always smiling and very helpful. The obviously have a genuine love for animals! The entire facility and all its' members (including the "Clinic Support Team" made up of adorable resident furry friends!) work together flawlessly and it shows in a positive light. We would definitely recommend South Surrey Veterinary Hospital to tend to your precious pets - they definitely would be in compassionate and competent hands. <3 <3 P.S. YES, we are crazy animal lovers and just HAD to post a pic of our debonair BraveHeart!
