Best vet clinic in the area! I have taken all of my animals here over the years and always receive amazing care by the staff. Would highly recommend taking your animals here!

Vets are good. However, it’s a waste of money to come here because you can get the same quality for a fraction of the cost. They charged me $500 for medication and I ended up getting it for $104 elsewhere. Charged me $700 for neuter for my dog and I got it for $240 elsewhere. This is after buying a useless puppy package from them.

I take my dog here and I have been happy with the care he has received every time. The staff are all very helpful but Dr. Albert in particular is amazing! She obviously truly cares about animals and she takes the time to explain everything to make sure all questions are answered. I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Albert to everyone.

Our 18-year old kitty has visited Northwest Veterinary clinic several times over the past year due to multiple and complicated health issues. Every time, we have been so impressed with the compassionate, caring, informative, and professional service from Drs. Rassweiler and Brayko. They take time to answer questions, explain treatment steps,do additional research, follow up, call even after hours, and truly go above and beyond. We could not be happier with the quality of care our kitty has received, including and despite COVID restrictions, which made staff's work even harder. We feel very fortunate to have found the right vet! Thank you to everyone at the clinic for providing excellent service during this difficult period..

If I could rate it higher, I would. After searching high and low, I have finally found a place that still actually cares about animals. They go above and beyond their required job description. My dog Cooper needed urgent care. After trying everywhere, including the emergency pet clinics. I called and they fit him in. Even with their already packed schedule.

In 2020 I had a different primary vet on Camano Island. During the Covid chaos my pup hurt his paw, but I could not get him in to see them. So I called over to Stanwood and they were able to get him in the next day. Mind you I did not change care providers, I just needed to make sure my pup was ok. Fast forward to 2021, knowing that my pup needed his check up I was waiting for a reminder card from his regular vet, but never got one. I did, however, get one from Stanwood. Once I was allowed to accompany my pup I made my appointment. The vet said she remembered him.even though he'd only been there once. Standard appointment care was great! And the vet was very helpful with giving me info on my older pup. If you can get an appointment I definitely recommend them.

Once again, Dr. Melissa Albert's kindness and expertise helped us get through the last few weeks of a beloved pet's life. Her after-hours calls to check on our sweet little siamese, Lily and counsel us on the best path to take with her care made a very sad and worrisome tme more bearable, even though the outcome was loss.

Went to have dogs annual checkup- a few days later one dog was acting very unusual-not eating not moving- ended up going to the ER and was told our dog might have been over vaccinated- spent $700 and 5hrs- dog not getting better and so I called my vet- left 3 messages - one reply was they were too busy and to take my dog back to the ER- WHAT?? Now dog has had no food 36 + hours Called again next day and they prescribed anti nausea said that doc was contacted by two different workers- no call—- NEVER GOING AGAIN!!)

They take very good care of my hyper reactive dog. Last place he wants to be is the vet and they take every measure they can to make it suck less for him.

We had a pet emergency that could not be handled at an emergency clinic. The folks at NW Veterinary Clinic realized our situation and found time to see our cat and perform emergency surgery - saving his life. Can't thank them enough for their excellent care and understanding.

This is the best vet clinic I have ever been to! My cat had an emergency and they worked him in right away. They called us with updates and asked permission before they did any other treatment, and they were completely honest with us about what kind of treatment they felt he needed without pushing us to spend more money. We were also given a flash drive of his X-rays so that we could take them with us if we needed to take him to the ER after hours. When I went to pick him up the lady at the front desk even suggested and wrote down the link for the purrrfect fence so that we can hopefully keep him from getting hurt again. Everyone was extremely sweet and helpful and we are so happy with the care our pets receive here!

We moved to Washington in October 2020 and it was so difficult to find a vet that would take new clients. I had a blind 12 year old diabetic chocolate lab and NW vet took Ellie right in being that she would be needing her insulin in a short time. Dr. Sturges was amazing. Ellie needed surgery to remove an infected mass off of her back and Dr. Sturges answered all of my questions and concerns by phone since we were unable to be inside with Ellie during her visits. Ellie was my baby and Dr. Sturges was extremely comforting after Ellie's incisions became infected, even allowing me to email her pictures and saving me another drive to the vet except to pick up antibiotics, and her incisions healed well after that. But after everything that was done, Ellie was battling more skin infections, vertigo and other things and she was tired so we had to make the difficult decision to send Ellie to doggie heaven. I called NW vet to let them know Ellie wouldn't need her next vet appt, that we were having at home euthanasia performed the next day. Five days after Ellie was gone, we received the sweetest card from Dr. Sturges and staff. Do not hesitate to bring your animal here, all of the staff I dealt with were amazing.

Have to say I've been very impresses with the staff - they are all so friendly and willing to help. My Bichon, Elly, has required two surgeries in the past few months and she still likes to go there! I've been kept really well informed about the procedure and Elly's needs and care post-surgery; staff has been wonderful about calling and checking on her recovery. I'd be more than happy to refer my acquaintances to this clinic. They are top notch in my book.

I have been with Northwest Veterinary clinic in Stanwood for years but since they did there remodel they have changed! They used to care more about their clients and patients than they did about the profits and that just isn’t the case anymore. They would fit us in in an emergency no questions asked but now... they give you the standard line... take them to the Pet ER. Today we gave our puppy her second round of shots ( administer at home by us and before you get all... well why didn’t you take them to the vet, let me tell you that I did call and they were booked three weeks out!). it’s something lots of us who breed dogs and live rural do. Anyways, within minutes my puppy collapsed and looked like she was dying. I frantically called them and she told me that since they had never seen the puppy before they couldn’t see her and that I needed to go to the Pet ER in Mt Vernon. Now, the puppy did come around slowly but they wanted me to take a 35-40 minute drive vs a 15 minute drive to administer the medication to reverse the side effects. Is that what you would want for your family member? Does anyone say to the paramedic driver, go ahead and take the long way to the hospital? Who says they won’t see an animal who has gone limp and loosing consciousness because they haven’t been properly introduced? They are licensed vets and I’m betting money they have the medication and knowledge to treat them. Yes it may have set a few appointments back but they just couldn’t be bothered. They wouldn’t even try. They were perfectly ok with my puppy dying. This isn’t an isolated instance either. It’s just the first time I’m actually fed up! Their new protocols and staff aren’t there to help you or your pet. It’s to pay for the new remodel. Anyone thinking of using these people should know what you are getting into. You and your pet will just be a number to them. If they can save them they will so long as you made an apt three weeks in advance. They will want you to take every expensive step you can before they diagnose your pet and there is no room for billing or payments. You and your pet don’t deserve that. So be prepared $$$

We have been customers of the Stanwood Northwest Veterinary Clinic for over 10 years and I can honestly say that I would never consider taking our four-legged "children" anywhere else. Everyone including the front office, technicians and doctors have been outstanding.
