VCA Olympic Animal Hospital Silverdale, Washington

So if you have a pet that needs medication administered correctly, look elsewhere. This clinic seemed professional enough from appearance but boarding my cat that needs 2x daily heart medications was too difficult for this office of trained medical professionals. Not only did they not give my pet his medicine for more than one dose for his 3 day stay. They also did not inform me after their first initial issues giving him meds that they were still not giving it 2x daily. I got attitude from the receptionist Anna and tried shifting blame onto me because I was unavailable for a day in a different state camping. Super unprofessional will never leave my animal at this place full of incompetent people. I will say the site manager did handle it better when I got there but the one star stays for the abysmal communication from the boarding staff and now have to comfort my traumatized cat.

Although we have only been taking our pup here for 3 months, the quality of service we have received here is amazing to say the least. We have taken our mini dachshund here for all of his shots and check-ups, and just recently, we had a scare. I called every single emergency hospital in the area and none of them could take him. I called VCA as soon as they opened and even though they didn’t have any appointments available for over a week, they still took the time to call us back and have us drop our pup off to at least take a look when they got the chance. They were prompt with phone call updates, and made us feel like our boy was in the best care. Dr Dammeyer and Dr Ryan and their staff has all the love from us and Beans ????

I started taking my cat to Dr. Dammeyer in 2019. She ended up dying of cancer that October, but Dr. Dammeyer and the rest of the office staff did everything they could to help us with her passing. I was so overly grateful for my experiences there that when I got a puppy a couple of months later I brought her to them.Dr. Dammeyer is always so honest about what he thinks is going on, what tests they can do, what those tests will cost, how much they will tell us about our pets condition, and anything else you could be worried about. He is caring and gentle with animals and they definitely trust him. I unfortunately moved to Texas during the pandemic so I can no longer take my dogs here, but if I could have moved this entire office to Texas with me I would have.

I got a dog recently, and this was the first and only animal hospital I've been at to get the required checkups. VCA has been very helpful and patient with me and my 100 questions as a first time pet owner. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. We've been seeing the staff at VCA Olympic Animal Hospital for several years and have zero complaints. They are wonderful!

For years, our family dogs & cats have had great care at this clinic. We keep going back for a good reason.

Always take the best care of our kitties, always work with us , w treatment plans etc. We love them !

I cannot put into words, how incredibly amazing these people are!! They not only went above and beyond when we had to put our senior kitty down..but they took care of our little fur son when he needed help! The staff are top notch .and I will recommend EVERY pet owner I know!!!

Great staff and doctor with home town feel

Due to social distancing I had to drop my Buddy off for extractions and a cleaning. Buddy was well taken care of and came through like a champ. Vet was wonderful and took the time to go over Buddy's treatment and what to expect post surgery as well as great information on prevention of future problems. Buddy is doing great.

Always get the best help from this place. My maincoone Bellatrix loves it here as well. She even purred while getting her shots as a kitten!

Outstanding customer service, very friendly staff.

During a busy Covid year, I was unable to get my Doxie into his normal vet- so I began going here for regular exams & f/u of Jake’s sudden loss of mobility in hind legs. I was able to get an appt same week & their staff explained their curbside process for visits. Dr. Ryan & staff were very caring & reassuring during Jake’s journey, maintaining his welfare while sorting out best options for his condition. He referred us to Rehab for Jake, with Dr. Mead in Gig Harbor; she’s amazing! Between these 2 vets, Jake continued his fight for 4 more months- with frequent visits to Dr. Ryan & his team. Staff would come to my car & say “Hi Jake!” while taking him inside for exam; they were like family- knew my car, my pet, his condition, & his meds. Their compassion & caring were so comforting during an extremely difficult & ultimately tragic time. Jake was my world, and while I miss him terribly- I KNOW I did everything possible to provide comfort & relief- in concert with Dr. Ryan & his amazing staff!! THANK YOU & God Bless them all. You’re the best!

I've been taking my German shepherds here for the last 15 years. Even when I move to Spokane in a couple of months, I still plan on making the 5-hour drive just for normal appointments that's how much I appreciate this place and the people there.

They are taking very good precautions on taking care of your cat or dog etc during the covid 19 they won't let you come inside they have you park outside and call them then they come out with mask on and come get your pet one at a time and they don't take that long to do a check up but if you have 3 or more pets it might take a little bit longer but their trying their best to help everyone out during this crisis .

We had a very nice experience and feel like they care about our dog. We'll continue our relationship with them and refer anyone is looking for a good vet.

We love the staff at Olympic Animal Hospital. They have taken amazing care of our dogs for years. Or youngest Rosie, just had a procedure and they treated her like a princess.

I love this place. I bring all three of my animals here and I have to stay the staff is amazing! They all know what they are talking about and are great about answering my questions... and the care club?!! Best deal ever!!! Dr. Dammeyer is the best vet that there is and I my dogs love going to see him! 10 outta 10

Due to COVID, had to park out front and the tech came out to get Spot and take her back to the doctor. It actually worked better than sitting in the waiting room with a bunch of other animals.

I brought all my fur babies here for years until I moved. The Vets here were amazing and never pushed unnecessary treatments on us (had that problem with a different clinic). If I move back to WA I’ll definitely return to this vet office.

Trusted vet for our dog for 5 years now. She LOVES visiting! (Probably because she can guilt the entire staff into giving her treats. ????)

Very nice people the vet was great, I just thought it was very pricey, dog got 2 shots and some flea drugs, $347.

Great veterinarian in old town Silverdale. Staff is courteous and very helpful. They are great with my labrador retriever. I spent a lot of time researching online and contacting customers before deciding on them. Glad I did, because they are great.

My little Yorkie, Molly May, had surgery today and was well cared for. Nice, friendly staff, as well. Impressed with Dr. Ryan. Thank you!
