They were awesome! Had to have my lab boarded under short notice and they were extremely helpful. Even let me pick her up on Sunday when they were closed! Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

Always bordar dog with their kennel and he's always well taken care of.

They were professional, helpful, and kind. They were very flexible with our changing schedule. They washed our fur-baby's bed when he had an accident. Kept us up to date when we called. Returned our left-over food. Most importantly, Leo looked happy and healthy when we picked him up. We will definitely use them for any future trips.

They are caring and loving to the fur and feather families. We board our Weaton terrier and our African Grey parrot. The whole staff is very sweet and kind.

We have kenneled our dogs plenty of times and have had great success with quite a few kennels. This kennel was a different story! They were able to fit us in on short notice, but that came with a price! The kennels were tiny! I have big dogs (requested to kennel them together for their own comfort), I was not informed on just how small their shared space would be! It was FILTHY! Stinky! And loud! (I understand that kennels will have a certain odor of dog, and be loud due to barking, but this was on a whole different level than I have ever seen before!) I would not recommend this kennel to anyone! and will never use their services again!

Great kennel at a reasonable price

My dog HATES all kennels. The staff was patient with my German Shepherd and eventually he settled down. I'll take him back next time we go out of town. Highly recommend. Friendly, caring staff.

Very pleased to have found this tucked away kennel right outside Bangor base. Tom, Anna and their staff were very welcoming of Bella and Charlotte AKA Furry Potatoes. We called a few times while away and they gave us updates of how our babies were doing. We had never used a kennel before and our 1st experience was hands down the best. Glad to have found them and will be going through them in the future!!!

Last year, I went through some very hard times. I was (and still am) going through a terrible divorce, and I was facing hospitalization. McDonald's Kennels saved me in a big way. I was worried about my three dogs, and I wasn't even sure how long I might be gone. The workers listened to my story and worked to give me peace of mind while the girls were in their care. When I came back to get my girls, the owners met me and refunded everything I had given them. And then chased my car because we left one of my pup's favorite squeaky toys! Truly amazing people with big hearts. I have many tearful smiles in remembrance of such sweet, kindhearted people. Thank you to everyone there. My girls and I are in a much better place (as you can see by my picture) and I don't think it could have been possible without McDonald's Kennels. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Went to this place because it was highly recommended. However, I will not be taking my dogs back here. Both of my dogs are rescues from pounds and as soon as we walked in to the kennel building where they kept the dogs, my dogs immediately began to freak out and were trying to run for the door to get outside. Now, they have never done this at any other place we have taken them to (this was our first boarding place we have found since my husband and I moved to Washington). In my opinion, the kennels looked and smelt like a pound. It was also not the warmest in there, especially for it being fall right now. Staff was not rude, but they weren't exactly friendly and my dogs didn't jump for joy like they do whenever they meet people. They didn't come off as dog people. When we came back the next day, my female's dog food was still in the bowl and it looked like some sort of moisture got to it because it was cakey...and she LOVES her food. I gave special instructions to the employees to give them one cup of food the night before and one in the morning if they fed them before we came to pick them up and with the amount of food that was still in the bowl, it kind of looked like they dumped the entire gallon bag of food into the bowl (we also brought measuring cups). After leaving, both of my dogs smelt of urine and were basically running out the door. When we got home, they were overly thirsty (I didn't see and water source available in the front of the kennels) and of course my female dog was really hungry. I don't recommend going here overall to people who might have dogs who are rescues. Maybe a puppy or younger dog that you've raised. With the condition my dogs were left in and what I saw, I won't recommend this place to anyone looking for boarding.

This is the first kennels, for doggy daycare, that I have been to. My boys love it there. It is very affordable. They have not been in for overnight boarding,only daycare. The staff is wonderful. We always chat. They know my boys when I call. I just describe them as the loud one and his brother. I highly recommend them.

I had to move out of the area, but this place is top notch. Extremely friendly people that make you feel like your dog is the most important dog ever (which he is!). I am really glad my dog and I were customers of McDonald's Kennels, great service and very fair prices. Best boarding and grooming service I've ever used.

Really disappointed with this place. We brought our two large dogs to stay four nights in this facility. They said we could board them together which we opted to do but didn't realize how small the kennels were. Our Border Collie and German Shepherd had a 4'x4' inside area they were cooped up in together when they weren't able to be in their outside run (4'x14'). We brought toys from home for them to play with but when we went to pick them up the toys were not in the kennel. We also brought a dog bed from home so they would feel more comfortable but when we picked them up the dog bed was soaked in urine and appeared to have been that way for a while. This is the most disturbing part for me because they would never urinate on their bed so either the dogs weren't let out often enough or they were scared enough at one point to urinate. Staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly either. I won't be bringing my dogs back.

We leave our dogs with them 40 times a year and they always take care of us and our dogs. Highly recommend!

Not very happy to come home to my dog that looked like he'd slept in his own urine for the last 5 days (after he'd had a bath the night before we dropped him off)! It's really too bad, as they have cheap prices, and got mostly good reviews. I didnt expect much knowing he'd be staying where many dogs have stayed before, and currently staying, but found it odd to get my dog back with yellow legs. I'm still airing out my truck! It seemed fairly cold in there and was very loud (for obvious reasons).

This is the 2nd time I have boarded my dog Reggie here and the people couldn't be nicer!! Reggie is my baby so its always hard to leave him to go out of town, but I would not leave him anywhere else!! He is always so happy and looks GREAT when I pick him up. They groom him so well and treat pups like there own!!

Great people took great care of my dog

Took my fathers dogs here for a week. They liked it and were happy and clean when we picked them up. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We've been customers for the last two owners and since 2006. Both have been amazing and loving towards our little man (Silky Terrier).

Very nice place and great prices, my dog is always happy to go there
