Had a decent time in Michigan with the Banfield there but once i moved to silverdale all things went down hill. Never got calls or updates to let me know my dog needed vaccines or cleaning and could never schedule an appointment. Was good in Michigan but the one here has been very disappointing. I canceled my wellness plan and will be going to another vet.

They will waste your money having a health plan for your animal. I was always getting calls saying that I missed appointments that they would book for routine care but not tell me my animal had an appointment. For the past year anytime I needed vet care for my elderly dog they told me it was 4 weeks out or more before they would see him. This required me to spend hundreds of dollars at the emergency vet for things that were not life threatening.

Ugh. Where do I begin? We were with Banfield for about 7 years, through three cities. in the beginning, in Portland, they were great. In Lakewood, they were okay. Most recently in Silverdale, they were terrible. First, their is no attention to detail. We came in to get a prescription refilled. They gave us the wrong prescription. I called and they said they'd get me a corrected prescription when the doctor was back in. They never returned the call. I called again and reminded them. They never called back. Finally, I went in and insisted and finally they gave me the corrected prescription. They tried to give my cat medication he is very allergic to. Years ago, in Portland, our cat, a kitten at the time, had an emergency. We had applied topical flea treatment to his neck and he had an allergic reaction causing his airway to become blocked. Banfield treated him and he recovered (hooray!). Years later we took him to Silverdale (uh oh). On the intake form I explicitly wrote in the allergy section that he is allergic to topical flea medication. They tried to give him topical flea medication. Thank god they were out that day. When I picked him up, they noted they had not treated him for fleas because they were out of the topical they would have used and suggested that I order some online. Aghast, I reminded them that he's allergic to topicals. The technician seemed nonplussed. Not only did they have it in their records that they treated him originally for this but I also wrote it on the intake form and they STILL almost gave him a medication that would cause a life threatening condition. We cancelled our plan a few days later. No more Banfield! Lastly, I just went on Chewy to order more of our prescription food for our other cat and what do I find? Our prescription, the corrected one I had to hound them to obtain, is not a full duration prescription. The erroneous one they issued is good for a year. The corrected one that I hounded them for ... only good for three months. Even a month after cancelling they are still negatively affecting my pets health care. Thanks for the wasted time, stress, and malpractice!

The staff here is friendly but, front desk doesn’t seem in tune with the notes provided by the medical team… they are friendly & courteous tho!

Went the other day and they wouldn't take our pet said we were early and other pets where ahead of us but I didn't see any...Now getting a hard time because I want to cancel the service...I would nor re admin their service to anyone...

It is hard to get any emergency or urgent visit here, and that is typically when it is most important to have availability. The staff takes great care of our pets though!

The Silverdale office is an amazing team! They were able to get me in today so my cat could be seen. I appreciated their compassion and professionalism, given the situation. From my first phone call to the office, then checking in, interacting with the vet tech and watching the vet complete her exam, then involving me in different treatment options....so professional and caring. Even a sales associate went out of her way to help me find something when I was in tears. I highly recommend this clinic!

I lose the people working there. They are professional and know their stuff. I followed a vet there. It's been a little crazy with Covid but we are all in this together and have to be patient and tolerant. It can be hard to get a hold of a person on the phone cause they are sometimes overworked and busy but that's cause their taking care of our babies. They do recommend other hospitals if they can't answer and yr having an emergency. Poulsbo Animal Hospital is not so busy but cost more. I've had great service there. I'm a regular at Banfield.

The vet doctors and assistants I have dealt with are great. They make sure I understand everything and are very patient. I love having the pet plan as it saves me money and keeps me on track caring for my furbabies. I even have experience dealing with customer service when I had to cancel one plan when one of my cats died. She was so caring and helpful.
