I adopted two babies from here just before New Years. They warned me that one of them was very very timid; probably should be kept separate from other kitties for a while. I have to admit we couldn’t follow this rule; he loved his new brother too much! In case anybody at the shelter was looking for an update on Snowshoe and Maya; they are now Duke and Nukem, they absolutely LOVE to play wrestle with each other, and they cuddle when they sleep. They are absolutely inseparable, it’s very uncommon to find one in a room without the other, and it’s usually because one of them fell asleep! Duke (Snowshoe) still hides from time to time, but doesn’t mind when we pull him out from time to time to be social. He’s really come out of his shell, and loves to be scratched on the chin and behind the ears! Nukem (Maya) LOVES to play with everything he can get his little paws on! Also, not sure if you knew, but he has 3 thumbs! He cries out to be picked up all the time, and likes to hang out on our shoulders. At night, he sleeps on our pillows by our heads. Duke (Snowshoe) will sometimes fall asleep with us, but for now tends to sleep in one of his hiding places. Thank you so much for introducing these two into our lives.

They judge people by the way they look and determine who is fit and not fit. Looks like I'm going in for a bank loan or Car loan. Next she wil ask about my cridet score. Very RUDE and Unprofessional. I cant stand seattle anymore i need out.

Worst place to get a Pet. Very very rude didn’t want to give me an cat because I have an 5 year old with autism saying my family is unfit for an cat. When an child has autism and denied an animal what kind of world do we live in unbelievable.

The best cat rescue in the Seattle area! The people are friendly and care a lot about the cats they have. I've adopted from there 3 times now and I'll never go anywhere else!

Average experience. I like adopting from PAWs better. PAWs allows you to put a cat on hold if you see one that you like instead of the first come first serve policy and waitlist, has cardboard carriers readily available to offer to adopters, has the adoption papers all printed out ready to bring home, and test for FIV and FeLV! If you don’t bring a carrier with you they make you purchase one from them for $40 even though they have a bunch of cardboard ones on top of the enclosures. They don’t test for FIV and FeLV so you’ll need to do that on your own. Also asked for a donation as I was checking out, buying an over priced carrier and adopting a cat isn’t good enough I guess.

The same-day appointment waiting line is not very organized and not updated wisely. The front desk staff were very friendly, but the volunteer who assisted adopting were a bit pushy somehow?! My desired kitten was adopted right at my arrival since the waitlist was a bit messed up and the assistant tried to convince me to like/adopt kittens that I were not interested in. And he kept stating “no browsing around, must adopt today”. It was just very uncomfortable and pressured at the shelter. Also, the shelter provided less than 100g of kitten food, which was not sufficient to help the kitten to transit from one food to another. And they said they did sell the same brand but adult food. It’s just not very professional.

Thanks for an amazing adoption experience. Our girls are adjusting well. Oh and I looked up their names; so beautiful. Orlaith (pronounced OR-lah) = Golden princess Caoimhe (pronounced kee-va) = dear or noble

It was hard getting in touch with someone now that they're not doing much over the phone. They respond to emails like once a day which is frustrating.

I just got my two, sweet, adorable kittens from the rescue and I could not be happier! Cody talked me through everything and helped with my questions when I asked. When I picked up the kittens, they also had some toys, treats, food, and litter (I guess there was a special going on?) with them. Both kittens have made themselves comfortable with me and are super loved. I also appreciate them transferring over the microchips to my name for me - saved me from doing that! Would 100% recommended, plus you’re saving a cat’s life by being it’s forever home.

They were very courteous and friendly and very accommodating with the whole covid and making sure that we never came into even close proximities. So happy that we were able to adopt a cat through them!

We adopted a sweet boy cat last week from SAFR. Their process is quick and simple. View available cats, log on at 11:30am to join waitlist and you’ll receive a call back in the afternoon if there are available cats. The rescue also has a shop where you can purchase any supplies and pickup at the same time as you get your kitty. We love our guy and are so happy we adopted him.

I rescued Tobie I payed $125.00 but I'm assuming that included vet fees as all cats that get brought in c the vet and they get all there shots needed .They have lots of cats that look healthy as the cats r well taken care of and the employees pay attention to the cats they get plenty of hugs kisses and loven .Im thinking about returning to purchase another cat as my Tobie is very active and lonely I play with him a couple times a day but since Tobie is. So active I can't keep up with him I think another Carly is the only solution

My mom went there about a couple days ago and was waiting in line like everyone else and she came across this one staff who looked very young and was supposedly rude to my mom? My mom mentioned that our cat was a door dasher and had ran away months ago and the lady wanted to make sure she was gone for good. Of course she was and it was devastating. If people want to adopt another kitten or cat, let them. That's the whole point of your job. That woman didn't even let my mom see them but just tell her to buy a trap for $75. Even if they don't want us to make the same "mistake" we literally tried our hardest not to her let her out and this lady wouldn't even listen. All my mom was trying to do was the make our family happy by getting new kittens and LEARN from our mistakes. No matter what if you try explaining what happened to your last pet or if you have no cat history that specific young staff will literally try her hardest to make you turn around and walk right out that door! Overall the staff and customer service just sucks. You can see that all the kittens have been posted up there for a couple of days and they usually got by fast, but no. This place shouldn't even open if they don't want anyone adopting their cats.

I got my cat Percy here and I got lucky with him. He was one of three cats they showed me. He's been a great companion.
