My kitty Cecil B. DeMeow just had his first appt here and it was an amazing experience! They have a seamless and efficient covid protocol in place, the staff was so friendly and professional and the doctor who saw Cecil was fantastic. We got better news than expected and I really appreciate the approach the doctor took regarding the care and well-being of the little furry beast. Highly recommend!

There was a communication over-promise from the front desk, whom can schedule new patient surgical intakes, but can't confirm set surgical appointments. Enough flags were raised that we called our vet early this morning. Long story short, we are back on the right path. Our vet, and an emergency provider for ultrasound, did all the diagnostic leg work. Our vet said this is the one place in Seattle she would take her dog too if her cat was a dog. Our dog is having a limb amputation for primary bone cancer caught very early. We'll keep this updated and let folks know how things go through the process.

Our experience with the doctors, technicians, and support staff was exemplary on multiple levels. We could not be more pleased with the process from assessment, intake, treatment, surgery, post-op, discharge, and aftercare. The staff was courteous, informed, and professional, and in addition, warm, friendly, and sincere. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found this surgical center after our 4 month old Staffy, Charlotte, fractured her tibia. We love the staff. We are grateful for the wonderful facility and staff.

My poor pup needed to get surgery and everyone, including the technicians, doctors and therapists have been amazing. While it’d be fair if my pup feared going back there due to the surgery, she actually pulls into it and is thrilled to see everyone. The surgery and her recovery has been great.

Love the staff from the orthopedists to the PT nurses and the office staff. They really love everyone they see. My giant goofball is always so happy to see them and we really see results.

They've taken excellent care of my dog and were very patient with me being a helicopter pet mom when she was there overnight. I'm happy to say she's doing a lot better now thanks to the team here.

The group is very pleasant, organized and so kind to their fur patients. Details of surgery for our dog was explained thoroughly and my questions answered.

I took my dog here after my primary vet recommended getting a second opinion for my dog’s leg injury. The vet told me, without X-rays, that my dog required a TPLO surgery on both back legs as well as a patellar luxation surgery. In total they quoted me between 6k-8k per leg. I was suspicious of the cost and the diagnosis... so I called the rescue I got her from. They recommended a second opinion by their vet as they have heard of price gouging in the Seattle area (since people can afford it). Not only did their vet not recommend surgery, but said in her case it wouldn’t be helpful at all. (She might have had a torn ligament injury in her past and her body healed itself. Now she just has arthritis). I can’t believe they were so certain of this diagnosis and were going to easily take 16k from me. I know this vet has many good reviews, but they could easily be doing unnecessary surgery on your dog and you’d never really know. Do your research and get a second opinion if you decide to choose this vet.

Incredible experience here, both with surgical and rehab. Front desk, Dr. Alex Aguilar and Teresa on the rehab side, all top notch. My dog is going for her second TPLO surgery next week, and I couldn't trust any place or people more.

Went for 2nd opinion ... didn't get it. I still think there are other options rather than painful surgery with long recovery period. I will try couple more things before agreeing to it.

We had such a great experience at Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center. Dr. Bennet is excellent and our 12 year old Havanese is like a puppy again after surgery to repair a ruptured CCL and torn meniscus. The staff, the processes, communication, pain management and everything at the Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center was excellent. Thank you all so much!

Shout out to Animal Surgical &Orthopedic Center! Odin just had his surgical consult to repair his shoulder osteo chondritis dessicans. Surgery is scheduled for April 7th. Both shoulders, if all goes well, should take 4-5 hrs with an overnight stay. I want to thank Dr Thoesen and the entire staff for their extremely awesome service, compassion, and thoroughness in answering every single question I had and NEVER making me feel rushed or that I was wasting time or asking silly questions. Cannot wait for the 7th. Cindy Knapp , I'll be contacting your rehabilitation department for post surgical advice and treatments because Odin is my heart buddy and deserves the best! Again, thank you, ASC!

Animal Surgical & Orthopedic was excellent to work with. When I price-checked other orthopedic specialists in the area, the price was similar. The reviews at this spot are better, and for good reason. They are much more responsive. When you are dealing with an injured pet that needs surgery quickly, it eases your mind when you get called back promptly. They were able to get my dog into one of their emergency spots and she is now in recovery. The surgeon, Dr. Thoesen, was very informative. You can see from the radiographs that his work is very clean and skilled. The front desk staff is incredibly kind, professional, and again, RESPONSIVE. God forbid I have another issue like this, I will definitely come to this clinic first.

Great staff and services, they fixed both legs of our pitbull baby. He got the TPLO procedure done on both his hind legs and he's doing great.

My dog suddenly breaking her leg in December frightened me much, much more than donating one of my own kidneys in 2018. This ordeal has literally been a nightmare. But, I have never been treated as nicely by any professional in recent memory as I have been by this team. I still can't quite believe my experience with them. I will never forget the compassion and responsiveness I encountered. I can't recommend them highly enough for orthopedic injuries! I live about 100 miles away and was referred by my primary vet.

I can't speak more highly of everyone working here! My little pup broke his leg and needed to have it pinned. The care and after care we received was absolutely first class. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Expert surgical team who were professional, knowledgeable and able to explain our needs in laymanterms and an incredibly professional, kind and helpful front of house team. Thank you all!

I was referred to this clinic by my primary care Veterinarian. What an amazing group of Veterinary professionals. The Surgeon was incredibly skilled and the support staff has been great. I would hope your dog never needs this kind of care but if they do I think this group is pretty fantastic.

Dear Animal Surgical Staff, I want to thank you so much for fixing my leg. As you can see, I am very happy and wearing my new “temporary” collar. My owners are keeping me comfortable and making sure that I take my pills, eat, drink and of course pee and poop. I should be just like “almost new” in no time at all. Thank you again for such a quick response to my owners cry for help! They were very worried! There was the first contact with Kristi on the phone, who worked so quickly to put their minds at ease and schedule an appointment WITH SURGERY the very next day! Everyone we came in contact with, was super friendly, caring and knowledgeable! Dr. Alexander Aguila was amazing and we all very much appreciate the time he took to explain all the details and of course his talented hands. Thank you to Heather also, who went above and beyond to give my owners the knowledge needed for my home care and a speedy recovery. Somehow, words just are not enough to express how grateful we all are. Thank You All So Much!!! Love, Ranger, and Ranger's Owners; Pauline and Bill

Having to take your dog to a specialist is never fun, especially for your wallet. This place is expensive but you absolutely get what you pay for. Scheduling was easy, the facility is clean and bright, and their staff are fantastic. They have multiple vets there to suit your needs but we specifically requested Dr. Shaw because of her expertise with joints and the fact that she still teaches in addition to practicing medicine. Dr. Shaw is warm and easy to talk to, got down on the ground with our Malamute, and answered our many questions with patience. I never once felt rushed..you can tell they all genuinely care about your pet. I hope we don't need their services again but if we ever do we'll come back without hesitation. A big thank you to all of you from Kiya's mama!
