I was nervous about putting my 8-month old rescue pup in a doggy daycare but after finding this place, I know now I didn’t have anything to worry about. They are so good with my dog. He comes home everyday super happy but also calm from all the exercise he gets. He's gotten so much better with socializing in general and I can’t help but think they have something to do with it. Staff is amazing and very responsive with questions I have. I really recommend this spot. Joey will be going there for as long as they’ll have him.

My puppy loves daycare! Recently tried out the boarding service and he came back exhausted and happy! Great rates! They always have sales during the holidays, with incredible daycare and boarding bundles which makes it super affordable. My dog goes here at least once a week and is always so excited when we drive into the parking lot!

I love that they don’t have cages and there’s an outdoor space for all the pups to play. I boarded my pit/husky mix here for 5 days and he was so happy and exhausted when I picked him up. Will absolutely be back.

I had to make a reservation last minute due to a change in airline and they were able to accommodate my pet. They were on time picking her up and dropping her off at the airport for her layover. They made sure when she was in their care to feed, give a walk, and give loving. They even sent me a picture! Whenever I needed to contact them they always answered and even when they did not, they called back! Seriously the best experience I ever had, if I am ever in need of boarding or other pet services, and I am in Seattle, hands down I would choose The Dog Resort ❤

They are good to my two dogs

Have boarded here several times now, and our dog is always happy when we drop him off and pick him up. The staff all are dog lovers and know each dog individually. Great place to board your furry friend!

This place is okay, but my dog never got used to it and seemed agitated at drop off and pick up every time. Sometimes I would pick him up and see he had hurt himself. Unsure if the staff actually spent time with them or simply had them locked. If that was the case leaving them at home is better. EDIT: found another place that offers the same services. My dog is still upset and drop of and pick up. He just has separation anxiety. BUT I have never picked him up with a bloody ear, paw, tongue... the other place has cameras, staff that actually checks on them and gives them play time at no extra charge. So I lowered the rating because obviously my dog was just put away and never checked on here.

We used the Seattle Dog Resort SoDo location and we picked up our dog and received the remainder of the food we had given the facility. It was at the exact same level that we had dropped him off with. When asked the staff member about this, she stated that “she usually works at the other location and does not know”. We point blank asked her if our dog was fed at all during the stay. She went back into the building for a few minutes and came back and said, “it was marked that he ate yesterday night but he did not eat this morning”. And at this point it’s 12:30PM when our dog always eats at 7-8AM as written on our dog’s instructions/profile. We do not know if he either did not get any food or if they fed him a different type of food. Either way, will not be using this facility again.

THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF THE DOGS

I have used this board and care over a dozen nights and had 2 major issues with them. 1) The first issue was in regards to the feeding when I first started using their service. I had to pick up my dog several days earlier than expected and asked for the remaining dog food I had brought. I clearly separated each days worth of food for my dogs stay and labeled it accordingly by date when I dropped him off. When I asked for the remaining 2 days worth of food they told me he didn't have any left as he ate it all. I was never contacted about his food running out. My dog has eaten the same brand of food his entire life and he could have gotten sick from a sudden change in diet. Had I not picked him up early I have no idea what type of food they would have given him which is concerning for the health of my dog. 2) My second issue was on my dogs last stay at the dog resort in which I spoke with an employee over the phone to set up my dogs reservation. I had been told by 2 separate employees on 2 different occasions I had 1 day left on a package deal I had purchased earlier. I explicitly asked the employee if I had 1 day left on my package deal and if so if I could use it on this reservation of several days. She said I indeed had 1 day left and we could use it on this stay. Additionally I asked if they offered half days of boarding to which she told me they did and that my dogs stay would be considered 3.5 days. With the one remaining credit I would pay for 2.5 days. When I was billed they charged me for 4 full days. When I called to clarify on the incorrect billing I received, they told me the owner would call me back in a few minutes. This was early in the morning and I never received a call back. I called the next day to speak with the owner again to which several hours later she finally called me back. I explained the situation to her as stated above and she told me numerous times that she believed the customer was always right and that she was an old school business owner. However, she proceeded to tell me that I was given the wrong information by her employees and that even though she believed me that I still needed to pay for 4 full days of service. She seemed more concerned about me paying the full 4 days of boarding as opposed to the fact that her employee was the one who made a mistake by telling me the wrong information. She insisted that there was absolutely nothing she could do and that even though I was told I was only paying for 2.5 days of boarding that I must pay for 4. This billing issue was a mistake by her business and she failed to take accountability for this. Despite saying multiple times that the customer was always right she clearly did not believe this. For these reasons I told her I would no longer be using their services and that I would be writing an honest review online. It was at this point she made an offer to provide one complimentary bath for my dog if I continued to use them. I was planning on using their board and care for 2 weeks this next month but will certainly be taking my business elsewhere.

Great place the staff is very friendly and are very easy to work with! My little guy loves going!! And the location is super convenient for where we live!! I would recommend to anyone!!!

My dog is leash reactive, and I have been refused care from a few other local daycares, so I was hesitant when I called Dog Resort Sodo about the possibility of taking her. The owner herself, Mona, called me back almost immediately and gave me a free trial day to bring her in. They assured me they would do their best with slow introductions, training and monitoring of her to see how she did. I picked her up at the end of the day and she was happily playing with a group full of smaller dogs. She had not had any behavioral issues throughout the entire day. It might seem silly, but now that I can drop her off at doggy daycare I feel less islolated. The people at the resort are so friendly, helpful and professional. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Pretty sure my dog had a spectacular time boarding here with her dog friends. She slept for almost two days straight after we brought her home.

Our pups got the best care ever. One of our pups specifically, Maddie, required around the clock care for her condition. Mona and the entire team stopped at nothing, to ensure her comfort and happiness. They took her in, cared for our Maddie, and provided as good of, and likely even BETTER care then we could’ve even done. Maddie and Cece got both got lots of love and attention, and had a grand ole time.... They are coming back soon!!!!! ????

We love to take our dog to The Dog Resort for daycare, but our dog loves it even more! Every time we drop him off he starts squealing with excitement a few blocks away. The staff is very friendly and does a great job caring for the dogs. Their long daycare hours make it extremely convenient to drop off/pick up & gives their customers a great value. The perfect place to socialize your dog and give them the exercise they need when you are busy.

Spoke with a dog handler by the name of Reagan she was super knowledgeable and very nice and took very good care of my weimeraner! The owner is doing a great job!

Friendly staff and helpful. No cameras to check on your furry child through the day.

My dog and I Love this place the entire staff is amazing. The Sodo location is way cleaner and smells way better than the Lakeside location. However, don't get me wrong though, Lakeside staff is just as friendly. Sodo is also much bigger and "for me" easier to access. The traffic at the Lakeside location can be dangerous to get in and out off and parking is limited, but the dogs seem just as happy there, just depends on your need.

My 3 boys "love " this place. I am so happy I found the dog resort sodo. The staff here is top notch. They are so professional and caring. They take care of all dogs in their care. Their boarding services are great as well. The price is right with all care. Hamilton, Max and Slice say, thank you to the Sodo Dog Resort.

We are so grateful to have found The Dog Resort for our high energy rescue pup. The staff is friendly and professional. Our dog comes home happy and tired after a day at the day care, and is always happy to be able to go. The same goes when we need to go on vacation.

We have been bringing our three dogs to the Dog Resort Sodo for over 2 years. Our dogs love it and always look forward to their “vacation.” Staff are always friendly and responsive. They periodically have special package prices which make it a great value! We love the fact that the dogs are with other dogs during their stay and not simply isolated in their own kennel. Awesome facility, very friendly and accommodating staff.

Professional: You get the feel of great customer service the moment you talk to someone on e phone. Good value: You gotta look at the bundle deals they offer every now and then. Really good value!!!! Responsive: They listened to the concern I had that my pups are rarely socialized, thus my concern of them being too excited to be around other dogs. Reliable: they assured me that they will do their best to match them with other dogs of their size and energy. Accommodating: when our flight was delayed and weren’t able to pick up our pups on time, they were very nice to make necessary adjustments. Good quality: the result I got everytime I’ve brought my 3 GSDs in their facility. Great location too!

UPDATE 2: The Dog Resort Sodo had the opportunity to offer excellent customer service and either refund me for my dogs stay OR pay her vet bills. They declined, claiming my dog, who had never been any where else could have contracted 3 different illnesses elsewhere RIGHT before her stay. Mona, the owner, also took the opportunity to slander a previous employee and share their apparent, ongoing, legal issues. Incredibly unprofessional. Lastly, she threw in that it’s expected that if someone isn’t happy, they deal with The Dog Resort alone, vs putting up a negative review. News flash - they won’t help you even if you do take the issue to them. Lastly, I was blamed for “severely” damaging them. Typical. UPDATE: My dog ended up acquiring 3 different illnesses from this place. Mild Kennel Cough (despite being vaccinated), Giardia, and capillaria! ORIGINAL POST: My dog spent 5 days at The Dog Resort SoDo and while she came back alive, she wasn’t 100%. She doesn’t have a voice, like she spent hours on end barking so much that she literally doesn’t have a voice. She has projectile diarrhea. As soon as I put her in her kennel she acted like she’d never been crate trained, immediately freaking out. So it seems like we are back to square one with that. And maybe worst of all, when they gave me her food containers back, over 50% of her food was still in them, which means that they didn’t feed her 3x per day as instructed. There was just enough food for her for the scheduled time, meticulously measured by me. She was also notably thinner. I don’t think in good conscience that I could ever utilize their boarding services again. The place would really benefit from more transparency: boarding and daycare open to viewing, online cameras in the boarding and daycare areas, progress reports at the end of their stay, updates from the facility during their stay.

I would not apply here once so ever! They are not very professional. And they can't even give you the right direction when you apply oh go there go to this person, which leads you to this unprofessional guy going over applications who dosent even seem to know what he's doing!! Basically poor management.

Lily always came home exhausted form The Dog Resort! I enjoyed knowing she had free access to the outdoor to play in the sun! The packages are of great value and they offer daycare 7 days a week!! It was nice knowing I can drop Lily off with no need for an appointment! We will miss The Dog Resort (moved out of state). Thanks from Lily + Fam

I'm so happy I found the dog resort in SoDo! Our rescue dog is always so happy to come here and play hard with his furry friends while we're at work. Our dog has trust issues with people, but when he is at the dog resort, he is so happy and comfortable with the handlers there. The dogs get to run free in a huge area with indoor and outdoor space so they can go potty. The staff are super friendly and always very helpful when I have questions in person or on the phone and email. We also board our dog here when we travel, and we found out after the first time that he doesn't like to stay in a kennel at night, so he has the option now when he boards there to stay in the kennel free area. Whether coming home from daycare or boarding, he always has a big smile on his face and is happily exhausted from so much play time with other doggies. Highly recommend purchasing the packages when they go on sale! Other services include grooming, and when your dog stays for 5 days, he gets a bath before coming home. Last thing - a lot of Seattle area doggy daycares have limited hours for drop off and pick up. The dog resort in SoDo allows drop off as early as 5:30 a.m. and pick up as late as 7:30 p.m. This place is great and I can't recommend it enough!
