Yikes. This place has gone downhill and the health of our animals is now suffering for it. Similar to other recent reviewers, we’ve been going to the clinic for years and now we can’t get a call back or an email back. And on the rare occasion we can actually get through to someone, they’re booked out for months. Our dog developed a concerning growth on her paw that was causing her a lot of distress; couldn’t get a call back. Decided to take her to my parents’ vet two hours away. Requested records multiple times, my parents’ vet requested records multiple times. Day of the appointment, the new vet still had no records from Lien to go off of. I also recently called about my cat having a reaction to his topical flea medication. The medication burned a hole in his fur at the application site and he was bleeding. I managed to get ahold of someone at the front desk weeks later. I expressed my multiple frustrations, the fact that my animals’ health is suffering, the fact that I had almost no trust that I would ever hear back from them after this call. She assured me she would discuss with a vet and call me back either same day or next day. To this day I still have not heard back. We’re due to give our cat the flea medication again now, but can’t. Don’t know what to do. I work from home and have a human infant and a human toddler to look after and don’t have this kind of time to spend hunting down my vet over and over again. We obviously have to find a new vet now, and it’s really frustrating and disheartening. Used to be a nice place.

Have been going here for the past few years and the only place we HAD trusted, we would drive all the way from Bellevue to see them. Unfortunately, their front office staff are unprofessional and condescending. Dr. Wolf was a large reason why I came here and it was because she always treated our dog like family! Promised appointments get cancelled, promised return calls are never completed. Karla = WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

We've been taking our pets to Lien for 8+ years and it's sad to see the level of service slowly deteriorating. We used to sing praises over this clinic. We have always loved seeing Dr. Kraabel, but it seems he has mostly retired and things don't seem the same at the clinic. With two aging pets and issues that seem to pop up at any moment, it's really frustrating that 1) I can't recall the last time the front desk answered a call 2) it takes at least a day (sometimes more) to return calls 3) they usually can't schedule appointments less than 3 weeks out. Honestly, it gives me a lot of anxiety knowing a semi-urgent issue could surface at any moment and they don't have the capacity to help see us through it. For the sake of the animals, I really hope things turn around.

We've taken our dogs to Lien for a few years now and have unfortunately seen their service slowly deteriorate. They are severely understaffed and, in turn, very slow to respond (likely why they are not currently taking any new clients). Our dog recently injured his lower back and needs a doc consult and likely x-rays. When we (finally) got in touch with someone after multiple voicemails/emails, we were told that appointments for illnesses and injuries would not be available for several weeks and could not see our injured dog until December. Absolutely unacceptable and unreliable - we will be taking our dogs to a different clinic going forward.

Everything went well with your caring associates. There is nothing I would change except for maybe a senior discount. I've been taking my pets to Lien for 23 years and will continue because I know my fur babies are getting the best care. Thank you!

I’ve been a client for 12 years and love this clinic. It operates efficiently, respectfully and with empathy and care. All experiences have been positive. Absolutely recommend.

I hope this isn’t the case all the time, but the gentleman answers the phone with “hello?” Not “thank you for calling the Lien Animal Clinic”…..wow.

We always receive prompt, considerate service from knowledgeable vets and techs. The front desk is always helpful and friendly, and the pivot to Covid protocols was easily navigated (at least on our end!). It’s a great place to take rabbits, as Dr Wolf is wonderful. Additionally, their end of life care is so lovely.

The staff and providers we've come in contact with have been nothing but helpful, warm, and professional! We always feel they truly care about our pup and that the care has been thorough yet we aren't getting ripped off. Even in pandemic-restricted times they were accessible and efficient. So happy with Lien Animal Clinic, thanks guys!

Our family has been using Lien Animal for many years and we are so grateful for the brilliant and caring doctors and staff. Dr Kraabel spent many years keeping my mom’s beloved but medically complex dogs Gracie and Duffy happy and comfortable. Our cat Banjo aka Catibal Lector had a habit of swallowing birds whole and needed several urgent disimpactions. Dr Wolf has treated my cat Noodles in person and via telemedicine, we are very grateful for the prompt and thorough care even in these circumstances. These animals are our children and we trust this clinic 100%.

Lien simply has the best vets I've encountered anywhere. They're thorough, kind, thoughtful. They don't over-treat; they suggest options. They always give parameters that would mean you should bring your pet back for recheck. Twice when we've had a dog with life-threatening condition (Addison's disease, herniated disk) they've promptly made diagnosis and instituted treatment and referrals.

Dr Tweed & all the staff at Lien are always nothing short of wonderful to my dogs and I. It is apparent that they all have a lot of love for family members of the furry persuasion & it shows. Combine that with their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism and I can't imagine entrusting my babies with any other clinic in the city. As an update... since my previous main vet moved on from this practice, and some new fur-balls have been introduced into my personal wild animal kingdom home (can anyone say COVID kitty?!?!), I have had the opportunity to see the other vets and techs at Lien and have been absolutely impressed with every single one. The entire team is always amazing! They have taken the absolute best care of my furry family members. Over the years i have experienced the tragedy and inevitable horror of losing one of my babies and not only did Lien give my dogs and cats the best care imaginable, but they have been so kind and considerate to me as well, sending cards, even flowers once, to show that they truly care. I really could not ask for more. Thank you!

The doctors and all staff are AMAZING!! Dr. Kraabel saved our dog's life by diagnosing her rare Myasthenia Gravis disease. She is so much better now and we are 110% thankful for all the staff and care at Lien.

If Peluco not scare and happy to be there...then, I can say that I can trust you with my baby. Thank you! I was hesitating having to stay outside. Love the doctor and staff. ☺

I seriously cannot think of a way Lien Animal Clinic could improve my past experiences. They have cared for my cat Suave since birth.

As new customers/patients, we've been so impressed with Lien Animal Clinic's services - both in the offerings available for appointments (like TeleVet, parking lot medication pick-up) and in the amazing customer service we've received from everyone (quick response time, super helpful, friendly Vets). Our family thanks you!! :)

I called around to different vets and got a great feeling from the initial call that my pet would be in good hands. I wasn't disappointed. My cat's first appointment was 100% positive. The staff was super sweet and answered all my questions and treated Prince with so much love. I won't go anywhere else!

We heard wonderful things about this place by family friends and felt it would be the best place to take our 8 year old Berner who was starting to have health issues. Our appointment went fine with the vet and we were very happy to have someone we could go to when we had questions about next moves with specialists. Long story short... they were supposed to call me back... nothing. Then I called back and was supposed to get an email back from the vet... nothing again. I reached out three separate times and each time I heard nothing back. Very disappointed in service.

I could not be more thrilled to bring my dogs to Lien. All of the vets are very attentive take the time to get to know each dog and understand all of their different personalities. The care and procedures are always done with extreme care and they take the time to explain it thoroughly. If you live in or around West Seattle, this is where you should bring your pets!

Dr Wolf is the best! Always so helpful with our big boy.

My dog does not do well with strangers but she's always happy to see Dr. Wolf and team. They take great care of her even though she's very shy and not the best with other dogs on-leash - they're very good with her specific needs.

Was very happy with Lien at the beginning. My wide and I adopted a new kitty and he needed his shots, de-worm, etc. It was a bit expensive, but it's OK because they were highly recommended. We got our cat in December. All wa well, until covid hit (I understand sensitive times for being safe). The package includes him being neutered, however when we called about this a month ago they told us that they aren't doing surgeries of that type at this time. OK no big deal, but I wasn't even given a date or even an idea for scheduling it. Now over a month later, every time either my wife or I call, we can't get anything but a voice-mail. Very frustrating. Now thanks to all this my wife and I will most likely have to seek the help of another institution for the care of our animal. Total waste of time, and a rip-off.

Every single person that works in this office truly loves animals. I feel like my pets (all 3!) are getting the care and attention they need. If only a human doctor's office ran this way.

I've been going here for 10 years now, and the staff are fabulous! I've also never had any kind of unnecessary procedures added on to my bill, like I've experienced at other places. A great place overall for cats and dogs both.

Caring, friendly staff who know what they're doing. Wonderful vets and techs. Even now, during Covid, they're able to see pets and social distance all at once. They'll sometimes suggest very pricey tests and procedures that...some...may say are overkill, but they do not pressure or push.

These guys used to be my go-to vet. Treated all my animals well and were exceptionally kind when it came time to let them go. We were living abroad from 2018-2020 and when we returned noticed some unfortunate changes: * Calls for important test results (e.g. does my dog have cancer?) were not returned for days on end. * Early morning drop-off appt. Called at 2:30 for status and found that my girl was left sitting in a kennel for most of the day without having eaten, and was "next in line" to be treated. * I lost a prescription (for incontinence) and called to grab a couple of pills until we could order a refill/replacement. The tech said we'd have to wait 24-48 hours to fill the request. Anyway, it's not the place that it once was. The front office seems badly understaffed, stifled by bureaucracy, and I'm sure are not having an easy time of it - which shows through on their customer interactions.
