Dr klair, is a kind, caring, gentle to my 2 cats Luke and leia and to my dog Annabelle. I understand that they can be a handful but Dr klair makes them feel comfortable like that have a second home. I have been to many doctors, that I felt they weren’t treating my pets correctly, but Dr klair isn’t like that. I will for sure be recommending Companion animal hospital to all my friends and family.

The staff was very kind and supportive when I took my sick dog in to see the vet. I brought him home with 2 prescriptions and instructions on how to administer them.

I've been bringing my cat here for years - everyone here is kind, professional, and really cares about your animals' wellbeing. Would highly recommend them!

I have been bringing my cats to see Dr. Klair for years. She has always been great with the cats, very gentle and caring, as well as fantastic with me. She always takes the time to explain what she is doing and her thoughts on my cats' health. She has also been very honest with me with diagnoses. Dr. Klair has only ever proven she cares for her patients and their health and has never tried "selling" me anything and for that I am appreciative. I have had a couple of urgent issues with my pets and Dr Klair was able to fit me into her busy schedule right away without hesitation. The clinic is clean and the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. It has also been very reassuring that Dr. Klair has several years of emergency animal practice under her belt and can treat the majority of emergency cases that come into her clinic. Overall, she has been wonderful and I won't be taking my pets anywhere else. I always recommend her and her clinic.

Dr. Clair is so kind and really cares about her patients. She was there with me when I had to put down to my senior dog, sat crying with me on the floor as we said goodbye. I recently introduced my new pup to the clinic and had our first emergency. I’m a single mother on a budget, so money can be tight especially when it’s unexpected but of course want the best for my animals, as they are family. Companion has always supported me and my pets, the staff there are awesome. I highly recommend them. Thank you so such for everything you do!

Brought my cat over because of an urinary issue. The doctor help drained all the urine for my cat on the first visit and gave my cat different meds. Told me his situation would get better but my cat is having a blockage again on the other day so I brought my cat over again and the doctor just repeated the procedures and told me to monitor my cat. I realize my cat is rapidly breathing and lethargic while we got home but the doctor said it’s normal and I should keep monitoring. The other day I realize my cat is getting more serious (bladder as large as a tennis ball, heavy breathing) so I brought him to another vet. That vet took an X-ray on my cat and realize his lung is full of fluid and his heart is failing and he might not survive the night. Luckily he made it but definitely not bringing my cats to a vet that did not solve the situation and keep telling me to monitor while his situation needs much more than monitoring.

While the vet and staff at CAH were shaving a bit of my cat's fur on his tail to prepare for an x-ray, I heard noise of razor and the same time my car screaming in pain! So traumatizing! I have never heard him scream so badly! Then the vet told me that my cat has pain on both the lower and upper part of his tail. And she agreed with my previous vet that my cat needs to have the last bit of his tail bone amputated! Obviously Companion Animal Hospital did not give him any anaesthesia. The shaving was such a poor job. Not sure how well the vet and the assistant communicated to avoid injuring him while shaving his tail. The truth is that my cat only had a small last bit of his tail bone exposed because a bag of food accidentally dropped on the last bit of his tail. I finally took him to the third vet (Richmond Animal Hospital) where he received good care. RAH did not find any injury on his upper tail. They wanted to give my cat (young and healthy) a chance to heal naturally (and prescribed pain killer and antibiotics).

My boy is 14 and used to a vet who has since retired. I am very picky when it comes to vets. Today I was extremely pleased and calmed when I went to Companion as a first time client. The empathy and professionalism was amazing. I was amazed and truly happy with the service and care from everyone from the initial phone call to the initial visit. I will be transferring my dogs file to this vet. They are in it for the love of animals. I went from tears of worry to tears of thankfulness.

Dr. Klair is amazing very compassionate, honest and helpful. Even during Covid Most of the Staff went above and beyond to deliver outstanding work and care to my animals. I understand you guys run a very busy clinic, and sometimes things can be taken the wrong way when we're in a rush. But Time and Time again I deal with this girl I believe her name starts with an M, and she seems to always be talking down to me or family's members that bring my pet. I don't know if its a power knowledge or she's just waking up everyday upset and I happen to come in. But if this continue I would rather go somewhere else. I made a second google as I did not want to be contacted. but address an issues

Brought my cat in because she had lost significant weight and I was unsure why. They got me to do a tooth extraction since one of them was broken. Turns out she had a golf ball sized tumor in her abdomen that made her unable to eat. Had to take her to my regular vet to get that determination. Wasted $1500 here getting her tooth taken out when she should have been put down instead. While the treatment for the tooth extraction was good, the huge waste of my money and stress on my pet was very much unappreciated.

5 stars to Dr Klair and her team! My cat ate a string and I was told by another Richmond vet that he needed urgent surgery. After fitting me in last minute on Sat afternoon, Dr Klair examined my cat and noted surgery is always a last option. She provided alternate treatments that were highly successful and a fraction of the cost. In addition to having very reasonable prices, Dr Klair will take the time to explain things in a way that you understand. Very efficient Covid procedures and appointment was right on time. So thankful for Dr Klair's expertise and amazing service from the entire team.

We first came to Companion Animal Hospital for a last minute appointment for our dog. They were extremely helpful and were able to fit us in the day of. We were very happy with our experience at Companion Animal Hospital and have since switched over to them as our primary veterinary clinic for our dog. The staff are thorough and always do their best to help us. They are also extremely patient with my dog, who can get anxiety around new people, and are always able to keep him calm throughout the entire process.

I started coming to this vet because they are open 7 days a week with later hours, which I find great for those who work 9-5 jobs. Additionally, I find them very accommodating and they have always been able to schedule me in. To top it all off, all the staff have been great to deal with, reassuring and professional. I feel comfortable leaving my pet with them and knowing that my family member will be receiving wonderful veterinary care.

Went on during the holidays with my sick Chihuahua. Doctor examined her and gave me the possibilities on what could be wrong, the cost of the test and if i was okay with it. Everything he told me could be wrong with her, i found on the internet. He didn't push me to have unnecessary testing on my pet and he was correct on the pancreatitis and perscribed a low fat diet and medication. The next day my Stella was already doing great. The price to see her and blood work were very low compared to other vets. Definitely will go back.

I've been bringing my cats to this clinic for 9 years and have had 3 different vets care for them. The vets and staff have always been professional, efficient, compassionate, helpful and caring of both me and my cats. Their hours of operation are great, 7 days a week and open until 8pm. What else can I say besides there must be good reason for me to keep bringing my cats here for so many years!

The veterinarians and veterinary assistants here are great! Unfortunately, we had two cats pass in the past 4 months (heart issues), but they did everything they could for our fur babies. They really show their love for animals and show the right amount of emotion during all situations. Although I hope to not go back anytime soon, I would definitely recommend.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible doctors and very expensive. They're bunch of thieves who prey on your love for your pet and take advantage of that in every way they could. They miss diagnosed my pet's eye problems, and now my pet is going to have their eye removed because of their negligence.
