Dr. Sarbu and all of her staff are the best! Everything is explained in detail with all options laid out with the most likely outcomes and possible side effects explained and managed. My dog is even excited and happy to go there for her chemo treatments (and she's feeling great).

The worst experience I've had at any veterinary clinic ever. I'm speaking to Dr. Sarbu's communication skills or lack there of. She always talked down to me, made me feel incompetent. If I asked a question more than once, she made sure I knew she had already answered it- she literally counted and reminded me how many times I've asked a question. I was flabbergasted. When receiving terrible news about your furry family member, it's hard to keep all the information straight and remembering all that has been said. She had no patience for us which seems counterintuitive if you're working with families to help their sick dog in such a hard and stressful time. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr. Starbu.

Dr. Sarbu is one of the nicest vets to guide us through an obviously stressful time in our lives. I would trust her opinion in any oncology related matters.

It’s been 5 years since I lost my baby. It still hurts to think about how much she suffered at Dr Sarbu’s hands. My girl was 15 Pekingese, she developed lumps on her neck and the vet said it was lymphoma and gave her 3 weeks. I went to Dr Sarbu to see if there was anything I could do. She suggested Chemo and I was very reluctant. Dr Sarbu took advantage of my grief and devastation and said chemo works best on elderly dogs and she sees my girl living to be up to 20 years old. I believed her. Five grueling, painful, stressful months later, my girl was a shell of her former self. I was taking her weekly for treatments which were $600 a pop (no pet insurance either). We spent a total of $10k which I really didn’t even care about. My girl got to the point of not eating and I was feeding her with a syringe. Then she got to the point of not walking, just laying there peeing herself. When I gave up on the weekly appts knowing I was going to let her go and put her down, Dr Sarbu called me yelling at me to bring her in for a treatment which I know would have killed her. This was a horrific, incredibly regretful experience I cannot forgive myself for. My girl hated the office, she would shake upon walking in the door. Many times I picked her up she was beyond thirsty and had to pee so bad she went in the parking lot as soon as we got out the door. Horrible place that takes advantage of your mental state. Not only that, the first visit she said she would keep her for the day and work on her, she gave her a chemo treatment which I never authorized and told me to bring her to the ER because her spleen may burst. My sick baby spent the night in the ER - none of this was disclosed to me.

Love love Dr Sarbu and her entire staff and clinic setting..she's so caring and great at qhat she does..we went for a.second opinion on treating my kid's mast cell tumor surgery that was caught on time and surgically removed and subsequent follow up visits and im impressed with how they treat their patients and how lovely she is with the parents, explaining, calming, yet thorough with testing, precautions etc... now i trust her so much as our oncologist that i go to her first for any new nodes/masses even before i go to my vet. THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO DR SARBU :) truly grateful.

The staff is so great at explaining the treatment plan and making sure we understand what's happening with our doggo. Best of all, our lab Ronan is all wiggly tail wags and is happy to see everyone when I drop him off. I'm convinced they all have pockets full of treats and they give them out liberally! Either way, Ronan loves them all! ♥️

Best vet to go to if you're unfortunately in the need of an oncologist for your furry friend. Dr Sarbu and team are top notch and truly care. It is evident in all the little extras they do for their patients and owners.

Dr Sarbu has very capable insight with my dog's complicate dancer battle. She consistently makes recommendations that other veterinary oncologists do not have. To be clear: this is something you won't get elsewhere, I've seen them all. I still advise that you get a second opinion. Other oncologists are very helpful, but for different reasons. I recommend giving Dr. Sarbu's second opinion the most weight.

I have been critical of the level of care and costs of my regular veterinarians since I moved to Washington 2yrs ago, but Dr Sarbu is like an island of excellence. She is a very technically capable Oncologist able to answer every question I have throw at her from "left field" plus she is great at communicating and explaining the chemo protocols and options. She is incredibly responsive to email questions which is great since I live almost 2hrs from Renton and by Washington standards very cost effective and doesn't perform unnecessary work just to make money. I wish she were an option for my regular vet, but I am definitely using her for any oncology needs in the future.
