I have never been to this clinic, however, I did call the non emergency line and spoke to someone, a female, at 8pm on Tuesday night 1/18/22. My 17yo lhasa apso had a seizure and could not stand upright was falling and his head was tilted and he was acting like he couldn't see. When I picked him up he was limp, I called blue pearl and although they was a wait, I WAITED. I told the lady what happened and what was going on and she evoking some things about when animals have seizures that they get a condition like vertigo and they they might recover. To my surprise, he's magically delicious! He slept for about 2 hrs and he would up and it was business as usual! She talked me off the ledge.

We have been to this location a couple times. Last week our dog Drax found a block of 2-3oz bittersweet chocolate that had fallen out of a Christmas stocking. We found out 3-6 hours later what he had consumed. We called at 9pm, Amy worked with us to figure out how toxic this amount was for the size of our pup. She even pulled up his records and spoke with a doctor to consider the interaction the chocolate may have with his multiple medications and congestive heart failure. Amy assured us that there was no need to rush him over but that we should continue to monitor him. A few days later all is well and no medical treatment was needed. Thank you again Amy!

**long but important post if you've lost a pet at Blue Pearl in the last few months*** The care my dog received the night she died was actually very good. the Veterinarian and techs we worked with were kind and did their best. She was 11 and a half years old and it was her time. Blue Pearl contracts with a 3rd party to do cremation services. But you pay Blue Pearl and then they are supposed to contact you when your pet's remains are ready to be picked up. I was given no contact information for the crematory. My dog passed on 11/05. I have called Blue Pearl 3 different times to check on the status of my dog's remains. Each time I called I was told that the crematory they contract with are "very back logged", they did not have her back yet and that they would contact me when they did. I called again on 12/31 and was told by staff that they no longer contract with that crematory. I was very confused and angry that I wasn't contacted or instructed on how I can get my dog's remains back. The person I spoke to just said "we were contacting everyone, looks like you fell through the cracks". He offered to give me the number of the business that handled the cremation. I, not so politely, told him I'm glad I spent almost $400 on cremation services and the only thing he was offering me was a phone # I could just as easily google. Whatever the reason that Blue Pearl and the 3rd party company stopped contracting with each other makes no difference to me. In the end, I paid Blue Pearl for those services, it's their responsibility to get my animal back to me. Instead they lied on multiple occasions and my beloved pet's ashes sat in a warehouse for 7 weeks, even though the cremation was completed after only 1. If you have lost a fur baby at Blue Pearl and used their cremation services sometime in the last few months please contact Carrie at Precious Pets. She advised me she has "dozens of animals" at their facility that they can't get home because they don't have any contact information.

december 29th 2021 sure they were busy, thanks for the $1820 clean up of the rear back legs of our 6 month old jack Russell run over by a car. Then the consult with their partner ( blue pearl) company 'Seattle Vetinary specialist' kirkland' let me lead by saying i had my puppy was repaired days later by a great Surgeon for under $4000 with all after care included......SVS Kirkland wanted $6500 deposit and could go to $7000 just for surgery not including $400 for imaging and $220 for consult ( oh did i tell you i handed my dog off to a tech and got a call within 3 mins that they had done a full examination of my dog and here is the cost to do surgery!!!! no additional xrays no real explanation of the surgical procedure) but guess what.....they sound really good on the phone.......if i was able to see that Vet/Surgeon eye to eye i would have said go pound sand i will find a real and caring person to work on my animal, not a corporate minion....

I am dumbfounded… November 6th my dog wasn’t feeling well. I had to go 2 hours north to this vet. They started a procedure supposedly and my dog died on the table. I paid to have him cremated and was told it would take 6 weeks or more because the crematorium is backed up right now. So I waited to hear from bluepearl… nothing… still nothing weeks later… finally they called and just said they broke the contract with the crematory and I need to call them… Blue pearl does even care… just cold and rude. They didn’t give me the number or address. I had to look it up. Turns out bluepearl doesn’t pay the crematory when you pay them too. They literally pocket all the money at them tell them crematory tough shit… so I went to the crematory and they were amazing!!! They explained the situation. Blue pearl is run such a horrible place… I was able to pick my pups ashes up yesterday. JANUARY 4TH… he passed November 6th. Backed up my ass… the crematory had him ready a week after he was sent in… I waited months… MONTHS… explain that… Now I dunno if the killed my dog now… they are liers. never agan!!! BLUE PEARL LETS SEE YOU RESOND… what do you have to say

I'm torn about leaving only two stars because they did help my cat, but they also bandaged her leg so tightly that the bottom of her leg became badly swollen after keeping us waiting 10 hours. The first 8 hours I might have written off but they failed to note that the recommended treatment would mean another 2 hours of waiting in the dark cold parking lot - if they had been clear about that I probably would have opted out. If you go, make sure you ask if they have all the personnel and equipment needed for recommended treatments on site, otherwise who knows how long you'll be waiting.

Eva and team took care of my dog promptly and advised me there were no issues and she did not need to be seen for a full visit after triage. Many thanks for not charging me for the triage and being honest.

Our 15 year old took a turn for the worse one day, so we raced her to our long-time vet. It unfortunately was her time, but they would not let us be with her. While in the parking lot, we searched for a different vet and found Blue Pearl. They were absolutely amazing. So caring, gave us several options and explained exactly what was going on with our girl. Needless to say, they are now our regular vet for our two other dogs.

This is not an honest company. I called this facility prior to bringing my dog in for an emergency and was told no where else would accept her due to current situation. I believed them and understood there would be a wait. After 7 hours of waiting outside, they did a temporary fix and told me I’d have to schedule a surgery because they didn’t have one on site that night. I agreed to the temporary fix and waited until next morning to start calling other veterinarians for soonest available date. Less than 48 hours had past and the temporary fix/sutures came apart. I called them to tell them this and they wanted to charge me again for same temporary procedure. Needless to say, I went to SOUTH SEATTLE VETERINARY and was able to admit my dog immediately and have procedure completed. Additionally, all the lab work and biopsy results were not sent to me in timely manner. I had to call them 2 TIMES for them to send results and to speak to Veterinary about results. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE COME HERE.

Blue Pearl knowingly lied to us regarding our dogs ashes and why we had not yet received them after 8 weeks of waiting, because they haven’t paid their bills to a local small business that does their cremating. After contacting them twice to follow up with them on when we could expect to get our ashes back, both times they stated that the ashes just hadn’t come back yet. We’ve used Blue Pearl in the past and have never had any issues with other dogs that have passed. So we contacted Precious Pets crematorium, the business that BP outsources to do the cremations. After speaking with the owner, she stated that Blue Pearl hasn’t paid her in months for the work she’s been billing them for, and unfortunately people like us who’ve paid Blue Pearl and her, a small business owner, are getting shafted by BP. The owner told us to come down directly and she would release the ashes to us but not to BP, since she knows that we’ve paid for the service. As a person in charge of running a small business, I cannot support a company who #1) is dishonest to their customers about the services they are supposed to receive and #2) does not support their fellow vendors and business partners. Covid has been tough on all of us, but pay your bills to those who support you and don’t leave us hanging trying to figure out when we’re going to get our beloved pets ashes back.

I ended up here with my corgi, Ollie, after he was having difficulty breathing. From the first moment I felt very safe and comfortable as the employees urgently assessed him and answered all my questions. Dr Peter Hetrick and Dr Diana Jooste assisted with Ollie's care and they were wonderful doctors to work with. Ollie ended up needing to be admitted and at that point they mentioned the deposit, but did not require immediate payment in order to admit him. Initial diagnosis was okay and I got cleared to make a visit, and because they're open 24/7 I was able to come and go on my own time which was a huge perk. The visit itself was thoughtful and caring, the staff gave me a private room giving me as much time as I wanted to visit. My pup was my entire world and the kindness from the staff/doctors made a difficult situation a little more manageable. Ollie was released after 1 night with a pneumonia diagnosis and cardiologist referral. Unfortunately, his health took a turn for the worse the following day and ended up having to triage him. They were rapid in getting him in and stabilized and ran all sorts of tests but nothing was coming up as the clear reason why he was struggling. After being admitted again, they did a CT scan and found he had an inoperable tumor on his heart that was causing issues breathing, in turn shutting down his system with euthanasia being the only humane option. The attending Dr. Diana Jooste, was so compassionate in explaining everything and answering my many questions. We were given the opportunity to visit him in the back in an oxygen tank, giving us an extra 10 minutes with him where he could be more comfortable with constant oxygen. After, they took us to a private room and said to let them know when we were ready. They did provide a cremation service via a third-party company and even had an option to mail the remains so I didn't have to come back to the hospital. Finances wise, emergency veterinary care isn't cheap in general, but I never experienced any pushiness and found the cost to be comparable to other vets in the area. All the doctors were patient, answered questions, were prompt in follow-ups, and I was able to find peace knowing we exhausted every option to try and help Ollie. You can see that the entire staff cares both about the animals and owners and having those extra moments with my little guy made all the difference when it came down to it. I highly recommend Blue Pearl for your animal's care.

Don’t use this emergency clinic if you’re from out of town. They were not helpful In providing follow up bloodwork when they said that they would.

THANK YOU BLUE PEARL! I had to rush my Yorkie, Tessie to be seen at 10:00 on a Sunday Night and thankfully you were able to take her in. She received amazing care over the few days she was there and thankfully made a full recovery! Doctors Hannah and Mitchell were amazing. Thank for you being so kind and helpful. I also want to call out Lexi who was beyond nice and seemed to really connect with Tessie. What a great team you all have. Thank you for treating Tessie like a member of the family and getting her better!

The staff I interacted with at our most recent visit - from people cleaning outside to those at checkout and everyone in between were polite, professional, and personable. My dog and I both like our visits to Blue Pearl.

First class. I brought my 14 year dog to be put down. A traumatic event. The staff is so compassionate and caring, they exceeded all expectations and made the entire process much easier to deal with. From the first visit through the follow up, I could tell how much they cared.

Out for people's money . My cat was just seen there a day ago and they want to charge $160 again for office vist to diagnose him for the same issue again, instead of treating him and moving on to the next step. Unbelievable and they want to charge an arm and a leg . This vet hospital is not worth going to.

We had a pup emergency and the front desk was super helpful in letting us know the process and procedure and wait times. We fortunately were able to be seen relatively quickly and the doctor was exceptionally thorough. I would recommend BluePearl for your pet emergencies!

This pet clinic is the worst, avoid it. If I could give 0 stars I would. The nurses are rude and not helpful. I brought my dog there to be treated and was turned away. I get that I was turned away because they were too busy (ironically they call themselves an emergency pet clinic) but when they turned me away there was no compassion at all just rudeness. My dog is a part of my family and thier callousness is unacceptable. I get things have changed due to Covid but there is no excuse to be so rude. Shame on your nurses, they need to do better.

Folks at Blue Pearl Renton ICU saved ours cat life after he eat plastic bag peace that blocked his intestines. They did a successful surgery and were able to remove the peace from his intestines. Staff always kept us updated on his heath and recovery and gave us clear instructions during discharge. Highly recommend!

I have brought my dog here multiple times, and I cannot recommend these people enough. No matter the concern, their staff have been caring and attentive. The prices each time have also been very reasonable, especially for a 24 hour emergency clinic. They will take excellent care of your pet here, at all times of the day.

Don’t seem to care about your pet. Or your time. Been here 6 hours so far waiting for someone to see my dog that was puking and having seizures. Told there are critical patients that have come in and mine is not considered critical. Not sure what constitutes critical but every animal I’ve seen go in and come back out has happily walked in and back out since I’ve been here. If you bring your pet make sure you tell them their head is going to fall off so someone will look at them. Update. I ended up waiting 11 hours.

DO NOT Bring your pet here! If they say there is a 30 minute wait time it really means hours! SIX HOURS wait time for someone to give us lab results! The technician said “just wait a few more minutes in your car!” 4 hours later they call us after we’ve already had to leave! This hospital does not care about the efficiency of their care. If you would process and send patients home in a timely manner then maybe you wouldn’t be at “full capacity” and could help other patients who are otherwise being TURNED DOWN when they could be DYING! One receptionist literally told us “welcome to an ER” when we asked for a realistic wait time and she refused to give us one! The receptionist said that this hospital is “just like a human ER” but a human ER does not just have 1 doctor that is too busy to cycle through oncoming patients. DO BETTER????

My dog isn't a patient there but I called this place for help. My dog is a diabetic dog, so he may end up there tonight if he doesn't get the care he needs. We just moved here. I am looking for a diabetic type food for him which was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I had one can left to tie him over this morning for breakfast. The package never arrived and now there is no delivery date. I called this place to ask if they had any food that I can buy. They said they do not sell them in bulk. I said that was fine. I asked if I can buy ONE CAN for him so my dog can eat. She said it was their policy to not sell any food to anybody and only save it for the dogs that are hospitalized. I understand that, but my dog needs the food and could get hospitalized if he doesn't get it. So he may very well be one of the dogs that may end up in the ER. I asked if I can just buy ONE can to tie him over for tonight. She said they couldn't. Yes, I understand your policies, but this is a 13 year old dog just needing help for tonight and needs his diabetic food. You can't help him?? You guys took an oath to be able to care for animals when they're in desperate need, but you can't help him. You can't give him ONE SERVING for his dinner tonight???. You can't sell him one can?? I would give you back a dozen cans if you would just help me tonight to feed him ONCE so he doesn't have another diabetic crash and die!

This facility likes to tell you they are just like a human ER. You have to wait. I work for a hospital, I get it. However, they only have one doctor inside, ONE. So, if a critical animal comes in, you will get pushed aside, over, and over, and over again. Even though you have been waiting over 6 hours. Even though your animal is suffering and miserable stuck in the backseat of your car. Even if you only need to speak to the doctor for 5 minutes for a quick exam and test results, there is only one doctor, and no one else can help you. They also like to flat out LIE and tell you, "it won't be much longer." If you were like a human ER, and getting towards capacity, you would prioritize discharging patients who do not need to be here. And you would staff more than one doctor at a time. And you would tell the truth, give me an actual estimate of time. If it's going to be 6 hours, tell me that, and I will wait. But if you say the doctor is almost ready, I am going to get upset when another hour passes. Absolutely ridiculous. Also front desk is rude and has no sympathy for pets or parents. "Welcome to the ER." Welcome to terrible customer service. Save yourself a day of misery and go somewhere else that cares.
