I won't be bringing my animals here ever again. They failed my amy and now she is passed away, and they wanted to leave my dog in agony for weeks. Refused to ask the vet if I could just come in for a test with no appointment like I've done before. Terrible.

A lost hound dog was hit by a car right outside Wildwood Animal Hospital. I pulled over and was there when a kind person who saw the accident was trying to get the clinic to help. They outright refused. It was confusing and mortifying that people who have an oath to help animals would do so. The dog died while laying in the street while waiting for animal control. To the owners who were looking for the dog, and ended up losing her, I'm so sorry. To those looking to take your dog to this vet, look elsewhere. Incidents like these reveal so much when it comes to ethics and compassion.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE !!!! DOG WAD HIT BY A CAR DIRECTLY OUTSIDE, BUT THESE GOLKS WOULD NOT STEP OUTSIDE TO HELP. IT SUFFERED FOR 30 MINUTES & DIED!! SO NEGLIGANT & HEARTLESS.

We love Wildwood Vets! Had our 1st appointment today for our cat Rocky. It went great. Our dogs have gone here for years. They are always friendly, caring and have reasonable rates!

The head Vetinarian, Paul Haughom at Wildwood Animal Hospital demonstrates poor professionalism in the care and aid to animals in an emergency situation. Recently a dog was unfortunately hit via hit and run right in front of this business. Instead of having the ethical and moral decency / compassion Wildwood *claims* to have demonstrated all these years, what do they do? They hang up on bystanders asking for Veterinarian aid. A half of an hour goes by and this business lets a dog die in its own pain. They will claim they never hung up; it’s just easy to lie isn’t it? I encourage everyone spread this unfortunate case to all animal lovers currently throwing your money towards Paul Haughom and his unethical business. He probably hopes this gets brushed under the rug however I am confident our community will make a change here. My condolences goes out to the poor dog & it’s family. Shame on the “understaffed” and unprofessional team known as Wildwood Animal Hospital. Seek a different career choice if all you care about is your money.

These so called animal lovers refused to give aid to a dog hit by a car almost directly in front of the vets office. You should be ashamed. The dog died after 30 minutes waiting for animal control. I will never bring my animal to them and I will be relating this story to anyone who will listen. I hope your offices are closed down soon. We have no need for money hungry heartless people in our community.

I just read on the Nextdoor site, that a hound dog was hit by a car that didn't stop right in front of your hospital. A witness called your hospital to get help for this dog, and you not only didn't assist, you hung up on this man. Sadly this dog died, after laying there for 30 minutes. I and many others agree with this man...Shame on you! This surely doesnt seem to ring true to me: There is a special bond we share with our animal companions….a connection that transcends the spoken word and enriches our lives. Our pets are more than just animals that share our homes. They are our loyal friends. Our fiercest protectors. They provide us with unconditional love and ask for nothing in return other than a little bit of our love and attention.

They would rather watch a dog suffer dying from hit & run than offer help right in front of their business!! It's all about money & not being HUMANE!

Every single person here was kind and helpful. I was able to get in very quick and they treated my cat, Scooter with professional and honest care. We needed to get a referral to another specialty clinic and they went out of their way to get us an appointment! I will definitely be using this hospital as my primary care provider for my cats.

Over priced meds, mid lead on 1st time discount, would not trust nor recommend.

First, we have been happy with the front desk and technician staff--they work hard and have provided good service. We have been coming here for several years for our dog and cat. Consistently, we have been dissatisfied with Paul Haughom's "bedside manner" when treating our pets and speaking with us. He has seemed agitated, scolding, impatient or rude. The last straw was a few days ago when he was checking our cat's teeth. I saw my cat's paw searching to strike (clearly not liking his teeth being examined), but there was no effort from the doctor to preemptively restrain the paws to protect the cat or himself. (You would think he would have a plan for kitty claws during an exam since he's been doing this for years). My cat pricked his hand, and the doctor literally yelped angrily in surprise. When I offered to hold my cat's paws, he brusquely said: "nope, he obviously doesn't want me to do that", and left the room. We encountered this same, concerning attitude when we brought our anxious dog in for treatment. His energy is not what a person wants to encounter when bringing in beloved pets. I assume that he has provided good and kind treatment for many animals over the years, but that has not been our experience. We will continue to come to Wildwood for services provided by another vet there. NOTE: I have read comments and responses for a couple years, and I do not expect Dr. Haughom to take any ownership of behavior.

I wish there was a way to give more stars! This vet has blown my mind. Before we could get established at a vet clinic after moving our cat’s glaucoma went into end stages and she needed an emergency surgery. They got her in quickly and the cost of the surgery was almost half that of other vets in the area, including ones that obviously committed to less quality care. Their reports are simple, easy to understand, and well laid out. They have been professional and followed COVID protocols, and the space is always clean. You can really tell how much they care about the animals, and the people, they see!

Very professional, friendly staff. I took my two recently adopted cats there for an initial exam and was impressed with how welcoming and caring the staff were. I will definitely make this clinic "home base" for my cat's future care.

We take both of your dogs here for all their veterinarian needs. We have been pleased with the service we get, and how helpful the staff are when we have a question. Our dogs both like the place even after some invasive procedures.

Told me my cat was completely healthy, a week later my cat was dead. Then they tried to charge me for a bunch of things (medicines, labs, special food, etc.) even though he died before they could do anything or before he could use any of it. This was about a year ago, but I’m finally okay enough to say something.

They were not able to follow through with my pets medication. Even though we had called them twice. We had to go to a emergency vet to prevent him from having a seizure. Your staff blamed it on Costco, saying they have had trouble with them. I firmly believe that your staff has other ways to contact them besides the fax machine. It was finally called in after my daughter called your office twice. And we had to pay for a emergency vet to fill meds for 5 days.

I would have checked reliable but I have only taken Sara my Chihuahua mix there once. The staff and vet were very professional and friendly. The vet checked are dog over and gave her a rabies booster. He answered all our questions and addressed what ever concerns we had. What impressed me most that he read over her past medical records and was up to date on all her passed issues. I have been to human doctors that were not as thorough. All and all, my experience was very pleasant. Kenneth Griffith

Switched our pets to Wildwood from Companion in Gresham. The level of service is amazing & don't feel like we are being rushed. And you can earn points for discounts, which is great.

People know their animals! This vet listens better to your concerns and what he can do to help you and your pet! Instead of what else they can sell you. I feel like I got what I came there for and my dog is already healthier and happier!

Needed a new vet; found this establishment on line, made my appointment for my two dogs... I have a 13 year old little Cairn Terrier and an 8 week old (now almost 6 month old) pitbull puppy... I just love the staff here every time I showed up the girls took wonderful care of both my pets...& I love the fact that the vet has almost 40 years experience, what a plus! Long story short, it finally came down to having to put my 13 year old to sleep, loved that the vet didn't waste any time in lying to me about his jaw condition... he's now resting in peace...my puppy however, is still seeing these wonderful people for all his care... thank you so much you people are very appreciated...& you definitely get what you pay for... I will keep coming back! ????????‍????

We have taken all our pets to Wildwood for a few years. In the last year or so my 11 year old dog came down with neurological problems. I called Wildwood multiple times, describing shocks and jolts throughout his body that seemed neurological and that were progressively getting worse. When I described this to the vet and the front desk, they assured me that this had to do with pain and put him on pain meds and pills. Then we read the article about seresto causing death and neurological problems in dogs. We had purchased seresto from them shortly before our dog started having these problems. As soon as I read that article I took this collar off our dog, he has not had any meds since then and is 75% better and is continuing to get better everyday. I'm very upset that the vet didn't rule out the possible side affects of a medication purchased through them and instead just kept increasing my dogs meds. When I asked them for a copy of my seresto receipt the receptionist reported that she had found it and would send it over, but never did. When I called back today requesting the information they reported that it's not in their system and that I must have gotten it for free. I'm bummed, I thought I had found a great place to take my sweet animals.

They always treat our animals with great care! Very front front office and support staff. The doctor is pretty straight forward and not one for much small talk. BUT that is A-okay with me because my animals are happy and healthy as can be in his care!
