Dogtopia Portland, Washington

I cannot speak highly enough of Dogtopia of South Waterfront. I brought my one-year-old Frenchie in, hoping that he would be able to have somewhere he could safely play, learn, and interact with other pups. Dogtopia significantly exceeded my expectations! The meet and greet process was incredibly thorough. I felt that my pup was completely assessed and that Dogtopia wanted to understand who he was and how he would best fit in. The facility itself is beautiful. The dogs have a safe, interactive, and fun area to play in or get spa treatments and I love being able to peek in on the webcam during the day and see my little one having his best day ever. My pup is beyond excited to go to daycare and is always enthusiastically greeted which makes him all the more happy. After a fun day of play, I can always count on my pup being relaxed and sleeping soundly. The canine coaches and staff here are the best, hands down. Everyone I have interacted with is so kind, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I love the enthusiasm that they show on a daily basis, and I love the love they show my baby. Dogtopia of South Waterfront, you are amazing and Remy and I appreciate you so much.

Dogtopia is the BEST!!! We brought our 6 month old pup Kiwi in for her very first day of daycare today and she came home happy, calm, and thoroughly tired :) We loved how detailed the meet and greet was, all the staff were incredibly friendly and you can tell cared for each dog, and the absolute cherry on top was the first day of Dogtopia photo they sent home with her! We are excited to have her attend each week and experience the super fun events they have going on!

Friendly staff. They put in the effort to get to know your dog. Drop off and pick up are efficient. I enjoy being able to watch my dog in the playroom on the video camera throughout the day.

It’s a shame because my puppy loves the coaches. But, they change their policy as they feel like it and it has been so inconvenient. If they would just be transparent about it and inform all of their staff on it, it would have avoided so much confusion. It literally said on their website (which they have now changed) that your dog needs at least one daycare session before they can come for boarding. When we tried to set it up they said he needs to come at least 3 times? When we took him for orientation I was told we get 3 free daycare days to use over a few weeks and when I took him for his 3rd they tried to push back and say “you brought him for boarding” yes we did and we paid in full there was no free days. Then the very person who told me that then with a straight face told me she said it’s 3 free days to be used in 1 week. I’m not about to go back and forth especially when it’s my word against hers because it’s not written anywhere. But God as my witness, she told me we can use it over a few weeks. I decided then to take my pup back home because I would rather take him somewhere I feel confident that we know and understand how things work. I actually don’t care that it’s free sessions for a week or 3 daycare sessions before they can allow boarding. But just bloody stick to what you say so that we can plan accordingly! It’s just too long a drive in traffic for things to change every time we come. It’s a nice place, my only suggestion would be to get things in writing, record the conversation, take screenshots so that if they try to double back, then at least you have a paper trail.

We love taking Jax here! The webcams are an added bonus of being able to check on him throughout the day. Everyone there is amazing including Mapsy and Blakely! They are a great addition to the South Waterfront and do so much with other businesses. Jax comes home tired every day he goes which is great because he’s getting his energy out! We highly recommend Dogtopia and will continue taking our little guy there!

We came to dogtopia with a quarentined, awkward puppy and her high energy, timid rescue sister. Two months later our rescue dog is a social butterfly and our puppy is learning vital social skills. Our puppy had no idea how to interact with anyone outside of her sister. Going to dogtopia southwaterfront has enriched our dogs lives and  most of all moms get a better night's sleep anytime the girls goes to doggy daycare! The girls make friends and have so much fun with the coaches. Great customer service and our girls come back smelling beautiful everytime. The communication is amazing as well as the awesome webcams so we can still check on our babies! Our dogs get excited to go and don't even look back anymore! The adorable photo days are just a bonus!

Dogtopia has truly been such a great experience right from the beginning! Everyone I have interacted with has always been kind and helpful and I love that they always greet my pup by name when we walk in in the mornings, it really makes it feel like such a welcoming place to bring my fur baby, and he absolutely LOVES it!!! He starts whining as soon as we cross the bridge cause he knows exactly where we are going. I cannot thank this business enough for the peace of mind they have given me and I recommend them to everyone I meet that has a pup.

My mini Doxie Kishka loves this place! Every time we get near, she starts barking and “talking” wagging her tail the whole time. They have tons of fun activities scheduled each month!

Why I love Dogtopia of South Waterfront: 1. The team is professional and very patient with my timid girl. 2. Cleanliness. I knew I signed up for extra work when I got my fluffy white pup but the facility at Dogtopia is kept so clean that I have not had to adjust Isla's bath schedule even though she goes 12 times a month. One time Isla sat in an accident and they gave her a complimentary bath which I really appreciated. The staff at Dogtopia also keep notes/reminders on your pet. When Isla goes in for a bath, they know her preferences so you get consistent care every time. 3. They have frequent dress up/theme photos. It brightens up my work day when I receive her photos and I know it is supporting a great cause. 4. Web cams. First time dog mom here and I can be some what of a helicopter mom. Love that I can creep on her when I miss her.

My dog loves going to daycare and I know when I drop him off he is in great hands. I love being able to watch the dogs on the camera to see what they are up to and it just shows they are well taken care of. Plus the photo days are great!!

We absolutely love Dogtopia! We send our Chihuahua Pixie there three times a week to give us some quiet work from home time, let her run off some energy, and to get her used to other dogs. We feel 100% confident that she is in great hands there. We trust the trainers, and it's obvious that everyone there cares a lot about the dogs. We love being able to check in on her via the webcams, and we love the treats, photo shoots and fun events that they do with the dogs. We've also used them for overnight boarding for Pixie and our terrier Cooper, and it was a great experience.

We joined this Dogtopia when they 1st opened. Absolutely adore the staff, clean facility, and creative ongoing pup events/fundraisers (luau fundraiser picture below). Highly recommend!!

BEST on so many levels! Thanks. So caring. Own spa. They notify you immediately if they need to communicate something. They treat your pup probably better than tou ha; like as if they were our kids which of course they are. So many fun activities. Totally transparent on webcams.

This was our first time taking our puppy to dog day care, and I was a bit nervous, but he loved it! I really appreciate their having a webcam so I can peep in during the day to see how the little guy is doing. I was so happy to see him playing with other dogs because he used to be a bit shy -- I think Dogtopia does a great job of setting up a fun and safe environment. Also, the staff is so friendly and always greets us by name in the morning, which makes me feel like I've left the pup in good, caring hands!

This crew is simply the best! They are so attentive to each dog’s individual needs and love on our pup so well :) couldn’t suggest them more!

Dogtopia South Waterfront is absolutely incredible!!! Our puppy LOVES going there and the staff are AMAZING and caring. Nothing but love for us and our puppy.
