Canine PT and me helped us keep our senior dog active and answered all of our questions. Thanks again!

Dr. Kelsey is doing wonderful things for my 4-year old dog who suffered a groin pull, was experiencing back pain and had developed a limp. Who knew that a dog's groin muscles attach above the hips and can present as back pain. As with people, physical therapy is much less invasive than surgery and will often solve the problem. Dr. Kelsey explained a lot about canine physiology and did so in lay person's terms so I could understand. In my dog's case, we are already making great progress and well on our way to full recovery. Dr. Kelsey has an excellent rapport with both of us, and my dog loves her! It's obvious that she is an animal enthusiast. She willingly shares her knowledge, explains what she is doing and why. I have been part of the process every step of the way and our "homework" consists of repeating exercises conducted during our sessions using household items. If I were to ever need a physical therapist for my dog in the future, Dr. Kelsey Jonas would be the first person I would call. She is a rock star!

Working with Kelsey has been a lifesaver after our dog's TPLO surgery. Without the guidance and support we received from Canine PT and Me we would not have known how to help our dog recover from this major surgery. We were sent home with instructions and the surgical center was helpful, but the number of questions and concerns we still had were many. Kelsey has answered all of our questions and made plans with us weekly to support the healing process and having her one on one care catered specifically to our dog was priceless. Not only does she take tremendous care and focus during her home visits, she also sets us up with precise care instructions to help us until her next session. On our own we would not have known how to do the proper exercises to build up the stabilizing muscles. The scheduling and billing is quick and seamless, and the program used to help you understand your PT homework is easy to use and comprehend. Thank you Canine PT and Me!

Our rambunctious 4 year old yellow lab, Josie, had double TPLO surgery the end of September. We immediately got connected with Kelsey Jonas from Canine PT and Me. While the surgeon gave us recommendations for several PT's, Kelsey was the only one who offered in-home services. Today was Kelsey's final visit. Josie is now more than 12 weeks out from her surgery, and has been "released" to run on the beach and resume her pre-injury, pre-surgery crazy Lab behavior. Josie loved her sessions with Kelsey, and we all enjoyed observing the enthusiasm that both she and Kelsey put into them. Kelsey gave clear and do-able exercises for us to do with Josie between sessions. We highly recommend Canine PT and Me! (P.S., Surgically repairing 2 knees at once was a good decision for us)

Our very active lab tore her cruciate ligament when she 10-months old and had TPLO surgery to repair it. She had a long recovery period and when we began PT with Dr. Kelsey Jonas, our dog was very weak, heavily favored her other legs, and was sad and mopey. We did 12 PT visits over three months. Dr. Kelsey Jonas was really sweet and kind and did a variety of "exercises" with our dog so she could relearn how to put weight on her leg and strengthen it. Dr. Kelsey explained the "what" and "why" to what she was doing each visit, gave us easy exercises to do with our dog between appointments, and let us know how our pup was progressing. She was super patient with our pup and adapted to our pups energy level and occasional stubbornness, especially when she got tired at the end of PT. Before our dogs surgery, we hadn't heard of PT for dogs but it is a real thing and now six-months later our dog is back to running, swimming, and romping around at the dog park and is back to being herself again. We loved the convenience of having Dr. Kelsey come to our home and her flexibility with scheduling. We highly recommend Canine PT and me!

Canine PT and Me was pivotal in helping our arthritic dog become active again. Kelsey designed a program that was effective and easy for me to implement in between sessions. She also made a recommendation for a specialist who was able to make an accurate diagnosis. She also fitted our princess for an ankle brace that she uses for some activities. If your dog ever needs a physical therapist, you could find no one better than Kelsey Jonas. Her programs are effective, and she is kind and patient. My dog loved her, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.

When our boxer tore his CCL and was scheduled for TPLO surgery, Dr. Kelsey was highly recommended to us by both our dog’s surgeon and trainer. She lived up to the hype! We scheduled a first visit a couple weeks into his recovery, and then weekly visits for ~12 weeks. Bowser made progress every session, and the daily exercises/stretches Kelsey prescribed were both manageable and effective! It’s now been 6 months since his surgery, and our pup is back to all his pre-injury activities. Our pet insurance (healthy paws) also reimbursed for all but the initial evaluation. It was so convenient that she would come to our house for sessions. Dr. Kelsey was also very professional and also accommodating of our somewhat difficult schedule. We would hire her again in a heartbeat, and recommend her to anyone who needs doggie PT and wants the absolute best for their dog.

We have a 10.5 year old Great Dane, Titan. Last spring, we were on our morning walk when his hips gave out from underneath him. After that he was afraid to trust his legs. Though he would walk when we finally got him standing, he was hesitant in the movement between standing and laying down and would collapse when attempting the motion. I knew that this was more than his age which was the answers that we had received from our vet and the recommendation for a neurologist. So i went searching for another answer and found Kelsey and Canine PT and Me. In my first conversation with Kelsey she gave me so much information, a recommendation for a great harness to help support Titan's hips and hope in the next steps we could take to help him. After his initial exam and treatment we decided to purchase a package of sessions. After each session we received exercises to help strengthen his hips and saw great improvement each time. Kelsey was very professional and patient with Titan and us. She was calm and talked to Titan through his session to ensure he was comfortable with her presence and when she was working on him. I would highly recommend Canine PT and Me to anyone with a giant breed dog from the young and growing phases to the older and napping phases. Thank you Kelsey!!

Dr. Kelsey took such good care of my pup. She allowed me to be involved in his therapy helping with my very energetic pup. She is understanding of all situations and shows honest care and concern. My pup had to have a second TPLO on his other knee and she communicated with me asking about him and me. It’s so wonderful to have a doctor so understanding of my obsession with his healing and well being. Her treatment plan was customized to my boy and he was making great progress. We are continuing his pt now that his second leg is done and I’m excited to see his reaction when we drive up. Thank you for showing love to my Koda!

Dr. Jonas created a surprisingly strong relationship with Indigo. He seemed to intuit that she was there to ease his pain. The diagnosis was comprehensive and the therapy and exercises fit.

We have done 4 sessions with Kelsey so far, and she has been great. Our senior dog, Cosmo, is already showing better confidence and endurance, though it will obviously take time to build more strength. Cosmo is very anxious, and being able to do PT and training from our home helps keep him calm. Kelsey is really good at reading is body language and giving him breaks when he gets overstimulated. She also noticed subtle signs in his posture and movement to help identify where he is weak. During her visits, she brings all the gear necessary to do a variety of exercises, massages, and cold laser therapy. She explains her goals and reasoning as she goes. Afterwards, our "homework" is assigned in a nice website that has video tutorials and allows you to track progress. Kelsey is super responsive, organized, and easy to work with. And our HealthyPaws insurance covers her visits. We would highly recommend Kelsey to anyone who has PT needs for their dog.

After almost a year of no walks/play, trying rest and meds, our golden Dallas continued to have a limp and shoulder issues. Our vet suggested pt which we didn't even know existed. The other option was expensive imaging. We made an appointment with Dr Kelsey at Canine PT and Me and she helped treat Dallas. The exercises were easily replicated at home and Dallas' limping improved. We finally got to go for walks again! Although we aren't completely out of the woods yet, we do have a good set of exercises in our arsenal. Dr Kelsey is extremely knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Her time with Dallas was positive and her follow up documents helped us to continue with the home exercises between sessions. She was also quick to reply to messages throughout treatment and even after.

Dr. Kelsey helped me by treating my 8lb chihuahua, Trixie. Trixie had an injured hind leg. She was limping and unable to engage in her normal activities for a few months. After just 3 sessions with Dr.Kelsey, Trixie made a full recovery. I hadn't even known this effective option existed. I would definitely recommend any pet owner to consider pet PT!

Kelsey is an amazing person and a wonderful physical therapist. I came to her because my Tucker was experiencing diminished strength in his back legs. She is very gentle with her patients and does a great job of recognizing what limits they have. She is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. His vet confirmed that the PT was helping him. Unfortunately, Tucker has passed unexpectedly due to cancer. I am positive that his quality of life over the last few months was improved because of working with Kelsey. I am forever grateful for that.

Thank you Dr. Kelsey for your work with Clancy! This has been such a long recovery after her ACL surgery and your coming to the house for her PT has been such a help. Transporting a large dog that is recovering from surgery is very difficult. The service you offer has been fantastic for both Clancy and myself. Clancy can’t wait to see you????!

Kelsey was amazing. Our dog was injured, on bed rest for 6 weeks, and we truly didn’t think he’d ever fully recover and be able to go on walks again. Thanks to Kelsey’s help, he’s almost 100% back to his old self. He can run, jump, etc. Kelsey was patient, kind, and my dog loved her.

We have worked with Kelsey Jonas of Canine PT and Me after my Schnauzer Moritz had TPLO surgery on his left knee. As we had waited for the surgery for a long time (Covid happened in the middle of it all), the muscles on his left leg had atrophied significantly before the surgery. Kelsey patiently and expertly guided us through the long process or rebuilding the muscle, and gaining full range of motion in the left leg. When he tore his right CCL, I never even thought twice about which route to take, and we immediately started conservative management. Kelsey's diligence, level of care, and professionalism were amazing.. and we ended up not needing surgery on his right knee! I can't recommend her enough.

Kelsey Jonas was an immense help with our rescue puppy, Roxy. We needed to treat an injured hip, and Kelsey's exercises were an incredible help. Not only were we able to avoid a serious surgery and increase her overall strength and mobility but we all learned in the process. Our older lab will also benefit from the exercises we all learned for Roxy. Kelsey has such a comforting presence, both dogs absolutely loved her visits. Having her come to us was a definite plus. The amount of work she was able to do in a very small space was impressive. Thank you Kelsey for improving Roxy's life!

First off I want to say how much I appreciated working with Kelsey before I talk about her services with our puppy. Our puppy Beep had IVDD and spine surgery back in May of 2021, rendering her legs very weak and almost useless. This was one of the hardest things we have dealt with and was extremely painful for our family. The doctor said that after the surgery she would recommend us going to a physical therapist to help Beep get movement in her back legs. We called many PT in the area and none of them had any appointments. From another PT we were recommended Kelsey and Canine PT and Me. I called Kelsey and she made room for us in her busy schedule due to the severity of our puppy's condition and timing after her surgery. It was amazing! Kelsey helped Beep get moving again! She gained a ton of strength in her back legs and our weekly visits were extremely productive. Beep is walking more and more every day and I can contribute this directly to having Kelsey as her physical therapist. She gave us exercises and treatments for us to do on our own at home as well. My recommendation, if you are having a dog that is having mobility issues or recovering from neurological surgery, would be to see Kelsey right away to get your puppy on the road to recovery!

When I began looking for physical therapy options there were not many options out there. Then I saw the link for Canine PT and Me, clicked it and started reading. What intrigued me at first was the kind of dogs she treats, specifically dogs who have just come out of surgery. My German Shepard mix, Max had just undergone TPLO surgery and needed some PT. When I sent in the intake form Kelsey responded quickly and whenever there were scheduling conflicts with work or running late she was understanding, and accommodating. During the first sessions Max would often find ways to avoid an exercise. Kelsey addressed these issues resourcefully and creatively, and this would extend into Max’s exercise schedule, until finally he had the strength and guidance that he needed to effectively do his exercises. Max went from having a knuckling back left foot to being able to have fun and joyful walks again. I’m very grateful to have that back. Thank you to Canine PT and Me.

My dog had bi lateral MPL surgery at 8 months old. Dr. Kelsey Jonas was very instrumental to his exceptional recovery. She was very thorough, committed, and most of all caring to my black lab Otis! Thanks Dr. Jonas!!

Dr. Kelsey is amazing! She helped our Dog Pam immensely! She’s kind and gentle and can get creative when it comes to getting the job done! She earned Pam’s trust quickly and helped heal an injury that was not going away on its own. Everyone at the canine PT fam is awesome and I can not recommend them enough!!

I wish I could scream from the rooftops telling everyone to send your dogs to PT post surgery (specifically TPLO surgery). Instead I will do it here. Knowing our dog would be undergoing a major surgery, especially one that would hinder her mobility, there was no doubt in our minds that we would be doing physical therapy for our dog after our vet recommended it to us. When weighing out our options, it was a no brainer to work with Canine PT and Me. Kelsey made physical therapy so easy and convenient for us for us, working with our schedules and doing the sessions at our home. This is the reason we initially went with Canine PT and Me, so our dog could do her PT in a space where she felt the most comfortable and we didn't have to load her into the car where she would risk injuring herself more, before she was healed. Not only did Kelsey make it convenient, but was also super patient and would let our dog lead and would listen to her when she had enough of one exercise and she would think of creative ways to work a particular muscle when our dog would not want to do it the original way. Our dog loves her and would be so excited every time she would come over and would be exhausted every time Kelsey would leave. Now after completing our dog's PT, she is back to her same old self, doing zoomies in the yard and getting to chase all the squirrels. Hopefully we will never have to go through PT again BUT if we do, we will immediately be giving Canine PT and Me a call! Kelsey we cannot thank you enough for helping bring Guinness back to being her good old self!

Kelsey was fantastic! She is professional, kind and knowledgeable. As a PT myself (although one who specializes in humans) I am a firm believer in physical therapy, but I wasn’t sure how to implement it with my 14 year old dog, Freddy. Freddy has widespread arthritis, particularly in his elbows, and weakness in his hips. He seemed to love his sessions working with Kelsey and we saw good outcomes following treatment. His limping has diminished and he has been able to tolerate longer walks. We have been able to decrease and nearly eliminate his pain medication. My goal for my pup is to maximize his quality of life, and keep him happy and comfortable in his senior years and I feel physical therapy with Kelsey has been very beneficial!

Kelsey was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and made both myself and my corgi, Carl, feel very comfortable when she was there. She taught us both so much about different things we can do to help rehab his leg and left us with the tools to continue things after our sessions were over. Carl us all healed up and I would definitely recommend he to others and use her again if needed!

We took our elderly pup to Kelsey and it was a wonderful experience. She helped our little guy so much. His walking was much improved after only a couple of visits. We highly recommend her. She is caring and really knows her stuff.

I was referred to Kelsey after my dog's (Mingus) TPLO surgery. Kelsey was fantastic! Her manner with dogs is outstanding and Mingus always greeted her with a tail wag. He is back to full strength and has had several backpacking trips since his work with her. Thanks Kelsey!

Dr. Kelsey Jonas is an exceptionally knowledgeable, skillful, and caring therapist. The way she related to our cantankerous old Beagle Abbie was amazing. Abbie trusted her, it was clear, right from the start -- even when Kelsey was massaging her sensitive, injured hips, or getting Abbie to walk, forwards, backwards, even sideways, over obstacles set up to get her to move through therapeutic exercises. Her treatment was effective. We were so delighted to see how quickly Abbie recovered under Kelsey's care. Kelsey has very good communication skills. She put us at ease right away, and explained at every step what she was doing, and helped us understand what we could do to contribute to Abbie's recovery. She has our highest recommendation.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kelsey Jonas with Canine PT and Me. My sweet rottie Mazey was hit by a car during our nightly walk. The accident obliterated one of her lumbar discs, causing spinal inflammation and subsequent paralysis. We weren't sure if she would ever walk again, and at nearly 80lbs, that was a devastating diagnosis. Through our dedicated nursing care, physical therapy, and cold laser therapy, she has made a nearly full recovery. My baby girl can now run, jump, play, basically anything any other dog can do. Thank you Dr. Jonas!
