They have been taking care of my mom's cat that is very old (21 years!) and are very helpful, compassionate, and understand that we do not need to spend huge money to make our cat's last few years a happy one! Highly recommended

Needed to go out of town, I boarded my cat there. They were wonderful and took excellent care of her.

***New Review 8/20/2021; If I could give 0 stars, I WOULD! This place is terrible, they can not create accounts or charts correctly, which caused some hassle for me since I have an ins company i needed to file it correctly. Then I schedule and apt for 2 simple vaccines and they gave my dog the wrong one then insisted that I was mistaken even though you can look at his records and see that in the past, he has never received X vaccine, I asked for Y..then the vet herself had the audacity to proceed to YELL at me then hang up. Extremely unprofessional service to say the least "Family vet" is not the way they treat their paying clients/patients. I would NOT recommend that ANYONE go to this place if you care about your pets like Actual Family!! Original review; I am new to the area, state even, and just established my Dog with Family Vet because well, he is my child and I liked the name! Plus they were able to see us in a reasonable time frame. A bit pricey but everything is! Quality service, nice people, love the vet- she is extremely caring and knowledgeable, she trusted my opinion instead of insisting it was something it wasn't! Love the vet techs even if one of the reception ladies was very rude to me and insisted that there wasnt a way to re print a corrected copy of my reciept in order to turn it in to his INS. Otherwise great people

The people at Family Veterinary Clinic are great at helping my dog with getting his nails trimmed, he really dislikes having his feet touched and they take wonderful care of him.

Dr. Carmen Czachor was recommended by several friends and I am sure their experiences were good. Actually, I have never met the vet. I brought yorkipoo (new pup) in for ear infection and left with $143 bill for fecal test, cytology, ear medicine and office visit. So I chalked this up to not asking before treating. Today I had appointment for booster puppy shots and rabies. When making the appointment, I DID ask and was told a price. I verified the price to make sure. When the vet assistant brought Jasper out to the car, the charge was $20 more than I was told. Looking for a vet for a new puppy is a big decision, but I don't like being quoted one price and charged another. The assistant said it was a mistake by the receptionist. Per;haps it would be helpful to educate/train the office staff. I believe this happened both times I took my pet. I will be looking for a different vet that has a bit more of a personal touch and one who is upfront with pricing.

Seems like a well-kept clinic. I will be doing some painting there. I would bring my pet here.

Dr. Carmen is very knowledgeable and caring. The staff is friendly and efficient. They actively listen and respond to concerns and personal experience with our furry family member. What a relief to have them in our corner!

After having a horrible experience on numerous occasions at Olympic veterinary clinic I've decided to give family veterinary clinic a try and I was very happy with my choice. Staff is very friendly and sociable veterinary was very knowledgeable and just down to earth they actually seemed to appreciate the business and haven't forgot what customer service looks like. I will definitely be back and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family or friends.

This veterinarian came out and looked at our thirteen-year-old dog which is my wife's emotional support dog such a smart beautiful baby the vet looked at us and said you're supposed to change out dogs every 5 years did nothing for us and took our $90 this is the worst veterinarian clinic I ever been to Family Veterinarian Clinic in Port Angeles Washington across the highway from traylor's restaurant if you love your animals do not take them there they are overpriced and under educated they are not animal lovers their money worshippers this is the worst vet I have ever been to as soon as the vet found out we didn't have thousands of dollars they just blew us off give us a tiny bottle of antiseptic for another dog it wasn't even for the one we brought him we did not ask for it they did nothing for our dog and charged us $90 these people are monsters

Best vet in town. Super kind and loving to my animals. Offers doggy daycare on Tuesday and Thursday. My pup is always so excited on those days and comes home happy

Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Dr. Carmen is very thorough. She helped us come to a very sad conclusion as we had to let go of 1 of our furbabies who was almost 12 years old and had developed cancer on his leg. Glad that you are here Dr. Carmen and your staff.

Should be a pet version of Michelin Stars! These guys would max out. I rarely write reviews but they worked for this without asking. I have no other affiliation with the place. They have now seen my 4 pets all on different occasions for various things from emergency care to routine and dental care recommendations. I was referred here by and can see why. There are few moments where you come across service that is beyond simply maintaining professionalism politeness and all-round excellent service (which this place does anyway) - but they go beyond that. Dr Czachor and her staff behave in a manner reminiscent of a pet owner too all my four pets. A cat and three little dogs. Having myself lived in many parts of the country, I can honestly say without a doubt this is top notch above and beyond excellent service. Be prepared - they CARE about your pet and the best interests of the animal. No doubt in my mind the services fees/costs and care is more than a pet loving owner could dream of.

A great small town vet that actually cares about your pets without breaking the bank. We were very worried about our senior dog and when the blood results came in for him, our vet at Family Vet called us at 830 pm to tell us the results. She could have reasonably waited until morning but obviously understand that our pets are not just our pets, but a part of our family. Thank you Family Vet!

The veterinarian actually came out to talk w/ us in this 'Rona world. Completely the opposite of the last one we tried in town. Only issue I had was the location and a caring Dr. more than makes up for an inconvenient location.

I took my new puppy Dixie in for her first check up and round of vaccinations. It was super easy to get the appointment scheduled and the process of dropping her off/picking her up was also totally hassle-free. When I did come back to pick her up Dr. Czachor came out to give me the details of the appointment. She was very detailed and happy to answer all of my questions (and I had more than a few). She also gave me a packet of steps for training a new puppy and made it clear she wanted to make sure I got the best resources I could as there is a lot of subpar material available on the subject. This packet also contained some links to websites with a great deal more information on dog behavior and training methods. In addition to that the doctor informed me that they have a doggy daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which would be a great way to insure Dixie grows into a well socialized dog. As she is a rescue from a puppy mill this was something I was concerned with and was very glad to hear about the daycare. We have been three times now and I can already see how much it is helping with her behavior and willingness to be trained. All in all the fact that I was offered all this information unprompted showed me that this whole clinic takes animal welfare very seriously and gave me a great deal of confidence in their ability and desire to make sure my sweet little baby is as healthy as possible!

Carmen Czachor, DVM, is a fabulous vet! We moved here a couple of years ago and left an incredible vet we'd had for 45 years. We've gone through 3 other vets on the Olympic Peninsula in that time because they either were not very knowledgeable, personable, or had no integrity. We are so grateful to have met Dr. Czachor of Family Veterinary. She is as wonderful as our out-of-state vet. Our pets are part of our family and should be treated with the same quality, professionalism and respect as a human member. The Family Vet team has been very responsive to our needs. We also found the pricing for services to be the best in the area - a delightful surprise!

We have used the services of local area veterinarians since 1949, always looking for those with top-rated skills and services. And it's a bonus to find a team who also displays "heart" among those skills, which we're happy to say the Family Veterinary team has in spades....

I love this entire Veterinary Clinic. All of the staff is amazing and kind. They always take time and have the best intrest of their clients. When we moved to Port Angeles more then 3 yrs ago it was hard to find a Veterinarian I was comfortable with. The Dr.s and all the staff make every visit as best as they can. Thank you so much for always taking care of our furbabies!

The vet is great, the staff pretty good.

We boarded our dog there over the summer. She had a great time, I think. But, the business practice of this vet is very shady. Months later we received a bill for “missed charges” with no explanation of call from the owner. Also, an added unpaid balance percentage was charged to the account. We went in to talk to the owner, and was told she probably wouldn’t call us about it, and that it is a normal practice of hers. Which proved true. With multiple attempts to settle the “missed charges” we received no contact from the owner, not even a phone call. Only bills in the mail. Terrible business practice. We will not be going back, and will be advising all the people that we know to avoid this place.

I was traveling through Washington from Texas. My 17 1/2 year old dog got sick. I was afraid that I was going to have to have him euthanized. Everyone at the clinic was so friendly and supportive. I was very impressed when the vet sat on the floor with my pet. We decided to treat my dog, and about a week later, he was back to his usual self. Thank you Family Veterinary Clinic for giving me more time with my beloved companipn!

Don't know much about this place one of my clients uses them and likes then well. They have a doggy playtime area.

I've been bringing my loved ones here for years.. everyone is so nice.. the newest Vet is very nice too!

Dr. Czachor performed my dog’s (very affordable) spay and did an incredible job. Very caring, patient and informative both before and after the procedure. She gave great post-op instructions and her staff took wonderful care of my puppy on her day recovering at the clinic! I will continue to come here for all of my veterinary needs!

Dr. Carmen Czachor is wonderful with my dogs and cats. Very knowledgeable and communicates clearly and realistically.

Our shy puppy loved this vet. She sat on the floor with him and took the time to help him feel comfortable with her. Great, positive first experience for the little guy. :)
