Evergreen Holistic Veterinary Care Monroe, Washington

I called as a new patient and the lady on the phone hung up on me for no reason. I tried to call back multiple times for clarification and she won't answer the phone. I'm confused and actually hurt by this behavior. Response: I did not say I needed to be seen immediately. We exchanged about 10 words each before she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone for clarification.

Dr Evergreen is the most thorough and gentle vet we’ve ever known. The vet tech and staff at this clinic are top notch as well. We could not recommend a better place for your pets.

I brought my 10 yr old Chihuahua in with heart murmur and chronic cough questions as a new patient to see Dr. Evergreen. I was very impressed with how much time he spent and really listened to everything I said. In fact he was quite patient as I babbled on with my thoughts and questions. I really like his holistic approach in combination with modern medicine. I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic, the staff was courteous, friendly and professional. My dog Miya seemed at ease while he gave her the examination. I trust her judgment as well.

My niece has been fostering a dog who has become very ill. She is taken is dogs to many vets and has gotten very little help. Evergreen Holistic vet has been extremely helpful and caring and although we haven't gotten through to the other side of her illness, I feel confident that we will because she has improved greatly in the few visits so far. The doctor is kind and encouraging and will surely be this dogs hero

Dr. Evergreen is not only someone who cares about animals, but he cares about his paying customers. He is a straight shooter and will tell you if something isn't necessary. He is not after your money. His employees love him, they even described him as "zen" and I couldn't agree more. He is a fantastic human and veterinarian.

Dr Evergreen is some sort of magician!! I have an 8 year old Dachshund who is not known for her excellent social skills, and she let him do a thorough exam. She's all set for a visit back to have her teeth cleaned pretty soon, I am confident they will take great care of her. The receptionists were very pleasant and kind as well. Because everyone is wondering, priced very reasonably for good care. ????

Dr. Evergreen took the time to explain conventional and traditional treatment options and really heard my concerns. I appreciated a treatment approach focused on etiology and not just symptom management. I put a lot of weight on reviews when choosing a healthcare provider, and I’m happy to say the positive reviews here accurately reflected my experience. 10/10 would recommend.

The staff were very friendly. Dr. Evergreen listened, and addressed, all my concerns patiently. He seemed current on veterinary practices. He did not over-vaccinate my dog or suggest I purchase extra medications, tests, etc. The items I did purchase, for an ear infection and anxiety, were prepared in the clinic and, I believe, natural. I have already recommended the clinic to a friend. Take your pets to Dr. Evergreen and you will not be disappointed!

Gentle and excellent Vets that care. Worth the drive to Monroe. Clean offices and following all the right safety guidelines too. I feel confident in their ability to take care of my cats and any animals.

Dr. Evergreen is wonderful. Our dogs love him and get so excited when we get to the clinic. Our malamute "talks" to Dr. Evergreen almost the whole time because he's so happy to see him.

Maybe this review will change with time, but this is based on my first appointment here. The back story: My jrt has had multiple health issues over the last year ranging from the beginning stages of Cushings, to a splenectomy (cancer), to a collapsed trachea, to a chronic cough that seems related to her digestive tract (that hasn't been healed). She has been to the vet - different vets even - probably 15 times in the last 18 months. We (she and I) are EXHAUSTED!! To a large degree, she's still here, doing as well as she is, because I took the time to do my own research when our previous vets dismissed my concerns. I found the supplements she needed. I changed her diet. Occasionally we found a good vet who would listen and dialogue with us (and how grateful we are for those rare few!)...who took us seriously instead of sending us home with generic antibiotics, or bloodwork results that claimed a clean bill of health. Most of the traditional vets - even the ones who took us seriously - weren't able to help her. I decided to find a holistic vet who might have a different approach. I tried two others before coming to this clinic. Dr. Evergreen, as annoyed as he might have been by a client like me (who has done her own research and thinks she knows a thing or two), took ample time to discuss her symptoms and the options for treatment. I didn't feel hurried. He was gentle with my dog (which is more than I can say for another holistic vet she's seen) and he took the time to actually READ THROUGH HER HISTORY. You have no idea how rare that is...to find a vet who does research...until you've seen as many as we have. So based on first impressions...this is the place to come if you truly care about your animal. We will definitely be back.

i was grateful for the info we received regarding my grand dogs epilepsy seizures. however they put me in a very difficult dilemma when the dr revoked a prescription that my granddog needed to have for 24 more hours. just left me hanging with the other offices closed. i did not appreciate that they put my granddogs health at risk leaving him ceptable for another seizure.

Took our dog with skin issues to Dr. Evergreen for the first time and he was fantastic! Took all the time we needed to answer questions, never rushing us out the door. VERY thorough in his diagnosis and takes the time to think about the issue from all angles. Came up with a game plan that other vets wouldn't even consider (and seems to have been correct so far) because they were too entrenched in the "regular" medical way of doing things. Plus, he actually cares about animals and doesn't just do this to make a buck. Great experience!

Dr Evergreen is the best vet. He's taken care of our pets for years. He's kind, thoughtful and caring and spends a great deal of time with our dogs whenever we bring them in. We live less than 5 miles from three big vet offices, but drive 15 miles to Monroe to see Dr Evergreen. I wouldn't take our dogs to anyone else.
