This place has been absolutely amazing and they are affordable. I have got my puppies shot's and my cat neutered and I have been happy with the experience.

Dr.Bob and the whole staff are wonderful people. We have been taking our dogs and cats there for close to thirty years. We trust them completely, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Lakewood Veterinary Hospital has been in business providing top notch care for local pet owners for more than 5 decades and were recommended to me by some acquaintances when I mentioned my two senior dogs were due for their updated shots. I wasn't aware that this was a family owned business until I met Dr. Wright and found out there's 10 or more veterinarians in his family. His staff was fantastic and their demeanor was outstanding. They made the visit there as stress free as possible and my girls loved the attention they received. If your looking for a reputable animal clinic with conscientious caregivers this is the place for you and your pets.

Found this place on Google when I first moved to Tacoma Washington from Brooklyn New York and I have to say it’s pretty excellent. The staff is super chill and friendly, and Dr. Bob is the man with our dog Julie and our cat Thunder Kiss. Very honest and straight answers and if they can’t help your animal they can recommend someone who can. Great place to go to for your pets.

Really like the reassuring staff, and Dr Bob's no-nonsense style. Rosie likes going there, too!

They Were a Really big help to my Big Pure Bred Lab Loki, they had a wait time but it was worth it cause she is already Feeling better.

My family has been going to this vet since before Portland ave burned down. We've been fans for years. However, this year, they exceeded our expectations and just proved why we love them so much. My little (fat) dog, Sophie, has been fighting an ulcer in her left eye for months. She's really short and wide and she has really bugged out eyes (she's very cute), but this makes her vulnerable to getting things in them. Dr. Bob prescribed her antibiotic eye drops to help. He let me know that the eyes take longer to heal than a lot of other body parts. When the first round didn't work, he gave us more and they seemed to help. For a few weeks. But slowly, her eye got gross again and you could see the ulcer was still there. I called and left a message on Friday afternoon and didn't expect to hear back until Tuesday when they were open again. To my surprise, Dr. Bob called on Saturday evening and asked if would bring Sophie in on Sunday morning, because he wanted to see her and didn't want her to wait. This meant so much to me because I knew that it meant that he knew how much our animals mean to us and how important their health is. They never treat our animals like animals, but like family members. I've never gone there and felt pressured into anything we didn't need or guilty like our animal issue was my fault. They make me feel like they love my animals like family too and that means the world to us. We will always go Lakewood Veterinary Hospital (or this family in general). I'm so glad they take care of my doggy children.

Great doctor (vet). I'd been using another vet locally for years & wasn't happy with them but felt that they were sufficient. It wasn't until the pandemic that this vet could fit me in before my vet could and he seems to really know his stuff. I mean let's face it vets are a one man band, they are surgeons, oncologists, general practitioners, urologists, cardiologists, digestive health specialists, etc. And not only that but for small and large animals (rats. Cats, dogs, ferrets, iguanas, horses, etc.) The wealth of knowledge in their brains in my opinion (as a person in health care) they are probably the smartest doctors out there. I trust this doc & will be bringing my dogs here from here on out.

Vet seems nice. A little scattered but probably due to how busy he was. Staff seems nice.
