When our black labrador pup, Nate, cracked his lower canine tooth, we took him here. We really wanted to save it, since he's so young and a pedigree bird dog. There's a short-ish window to save the tooth, and I called many places that …

I would like to say the people were nice to my daughter and I when we brought in here puppy in. We found out the the puppy she got has parvo. When we discussed care options to in care we would have to pay in full before they took the dog 7000. Honestly who really have that much in pocket now days to spend.

Horrible people! My daughters kitten is very sick so she called them because all other vets were booked. The poor little thing was being eaten alive by worms and otc treatment wasn’t helping. They told her “that isn’t an emergency, you’re wasting our time”. You sick, horrible excuses for human beings. Grow a heart. UPDATE to blue pearl response: my daughter was in tears telling you all she believed her kitten was dying. You all did not use good judgement on this one. UPDATE: My daughters cat passed away. Our new vet said it could have been stopped with immediate treatment. I hope this place gets everything they deserve. Close them down.

I cannot express enough how grateful we are for the professionalism and kindness of this staff. We brought our cat Cersei in for an emergency visit after some breathing issues, and the front receptionists allowed me in even at full capacity. Dr Huffman was so good with her and honest with delivering our news. Our sunshine girl had FIP and needed to be put to rest at an early age of 2.5 years old. They were so patient and kind with her care. Thank you Blue Pearl vet staff for taking care of our girl. I would highly recommend this emergency clinic.

Money shouldn't matter when it comes to saving your loved ones, and I'm so thankful that this place was there for me and my boy Frank. The doctor came out to sit with me and explain exactly what was happening and what needed to be done, which made me feel a lot more comfortable, despite the obvious stress of having to go to an emergency vet. I just can't thank them enough, and I'm so happy that my boy Frank is happy, healthy, and safe at home.

Our little pupper got out New year's Eve. She was found by someone who took her to this establishment. The Dr. checked her over, they feed her, kept her warm and dry. Watched over her until we found out where she was. And were able to pick her up. Thank you so much for the care and kindness.

Don't take you pet here. On Christmas day we brought our lab in for what we thought may be intestinal blockage. Due to her not eating. And when she did it would not stay down. After waiting 4.5 hours we got brought into a consulting room where Dr. Thorpe told us our dog should be hospitalized before even a x-ray was taken. Gave me a estimate of least and most price.. for surgery. I declined until an x-ray was done. After the x-ray he said. No sign of blockage. And prescribed laxatives . On Monday still no bowel movement we went to another emergency hospit where a x-ray was taken and again no blockage so the vet suggested blood work. Turns out our dog has something going on with her liver. Blood work was not suggested or offered at blue pearl. We paid almost 800.00 for a misdiagnosed opinion. Glad I didn't cave to the pressure of this opinion. BluePearl you are taken advantage of people. Someone needs to reach out to me and explain themselves.

We appreciate the staff at this facility. They helped us with an emergency medical situation that happened to our beloved dog. The doctors tried their best to help our sweet pup and ultimately helped us to make the best decision for his quality of life. Thank you!

Today I had to have our 13 year old cat put to sleep. The staff at Blue Pearl were wonderful to deal with. They went out of their way to make a difficult, and heartbreaking thing much more bearable. I have occaisionally used Blue Pearl in the past, and always recieved top notch care.

I came in here today with an exotic, and even though they came highly recommended by people I know in the Vet industry, they far exceeded all of my expectations. Dr. Gill and the staff were extremely professional, thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, patient and informative. I'm glad I came here, and after the experience, I wouldn't take a pet anywhere else. Office and rooms are very clean as well.

OMG SO AMAZING I mean cmon they literally saved my little bunz life after he was starting to experience a pretty bad case of GI Stassis, a very serious med condition in rabbits that can kill if not immediately taken care of or caught in time! So we found our selves needing an exotic vet knowledgeable in rabbit care for one but somewhat nearby accepting emergency/no appt or patient prior this was exactly that! They got us right in, their staff was extremely helpful & most were very friendly & kind really a good experience for such a crazy & very scary time! Could've been so much worse had we arrived to get poor care which I've been thru in the past other places so this was def a breath of fresh air! Very informative about costs etc up front when u sit one on one with the doc etc b4 agreeing to anything or being seen u kinda both decide on the type of care to give ur pet it felt like team effort which was appreciated plus I hate surprises of this sort of financial nature so this was really a nice change for us & meant no hidden fees or things like this we did even have a good idea of what to expect after too. U all saved my lil bunz life & I'm forever greatful to all of u but I wanted to say to our little guys Dr that day forgive me if I get ur name wrong but I think it was Dr. Heather Anderson maybe anyway WE SO HAVE TO SAY THANK U FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS FOR SAVING HIM FOR US THAT DREADFUL DAY WE TOTALLY COULDNT PUT IT INTO WORDS BUT IM TRYIN TO THANKS SO MUCH U TRULY DID A MIRACLE cuz he started feeling better even before we got home so bless you woman u really did some magic that day I can't thank u enough really!!! Xoxoxoxo u all do amazing stuff save lives literally so leaving a rating using 5 stars just feels silly but it's what we got so that's all I could give. YOU ALL DESERVE LIKE 10 THOUSAND MORE STARS FOR THE WORK SOME OF U DO SO THANK U SO MUCH XOXOXOXO

They charge hundreds of dollars when its not necessary, and charge more than almost any Emergancy vet in king county.

I'll preface this that going to emergency vets is not a new experience. Blue Pearl (BP) staff were attentive from the beginning. We knew we'd have to wait, but they let people in to sit in their lobby and use their restrooms (haven't seen that in a long while.) A hit-by-car dog came in an, being late at night and with a skeleton crew, everyone needed to be with that dog. Fortunately, we could wait. But, we waited inside and in a room. The doctor took our information from an earlier emergency vet visit and tried to work within our budget. The next morning (she had to be hospitalized because she was so sick) the old and new doctors called with status updates. They asked so many questions, and the most important one about salmon led to her having salmon poisoning. In an area with so much fishing no one had asked that earlier. I hadn't thought about the little salmon parts that disappeared from my garden. She asked us to keep her there for the full 24 hrs we paid for and we did. She asked about the medication we still had from the previous ER visit and worked with us on keeping the price down as we're now hitting $3k with all of her care so far. She provided us with less expensive options for treatment. We never felt like we weren't heard nor made to feel guilty because we just couldn't afford more care. They even reminded us to separate our prebiotic from the antibiotics by a few hours. I have a strong background in microbiology and, in my worry for keeping the meds on schedule, I forgot about not mixing the prebiotic with antibiotics. Fortunately we could give our dogs much of the supportive care she needed because of our very limited medical background. Thank you for all of your hard work, helping the pet parents with letting us in to sit inside and use the restrooms, having vending machines available, and your commitment to patients and their families.

Avoid this place at all costs if you don't want to be scammed. Spent $4,800 here for them to not fix my cat, and then tell me that it'll cost more money to have them look at him again. They didn't even fix him in the first place! This place is an absolute joke and they ONLY care about your money, not your pet!

Dr. Shor is our dog's oncologist; couldn't have picked a better one - very personable, takes time to outline diagnosis & proposed procedures. I like that he puts all options on the table, discusses them and then gives his opinion on how to proceed. Dr. Shor is caring and a fine Veterinary Doctor. He's one of the few doctors in the US who are bringing in proven therapies from Europe, like the electrochemotherapy our little guy got. Also, he's great about taking emails off work hours; by sending him periodic photos of our dog's healing progress he saved us a couple visits. All the vet techs and associated staff are also wonderful people who understand how important our pets are to us. Blue Pearl Lakewood WA ????????????

Our dog had severe issues, other hospitals misdiagnosed him and he suffered. A friend recommended Blue Pearl. Within 24 hours, he was getting better, his treatment allowed him to reach a ripe old age of 21. Thanks Dr Hicks and the staff at Blue Pearl!

Their exotic vet was not in but they agreed to see my chinchilla anyway. That was the first mistake, as they should have provided us other exotic ERs that could accommodate. My chinchilla wasn’t eating - this is an immediate emergency in this species. They had my boyfriend wait with our poor chin for 6 HOURS and gave him some pain meds - no diagnostics were done. The vet knew he needed an X-ray but didn’t feel comfortable because she didn’t specialize in exotics (completely understandable but why didn’t you recommend the exotic ER in Seattle? I found out this was an option later on) and then thought he could wait 2 thereafter days for a follow up appointment with their specialist?!?! He didn’t have the time to wait 6 hours to begin with. These creatures for extremely temperamental and timing means everything during an emergency. He needed more than they could provide and I ended up taking him to a exotic vet the following day during normal business hours. It was too late. I had to put down my baby boy who suffered longer than he needed to because of their negligence. I understand not all veterinarians have the education, credentials and experience when it comes to rare and exotic animals - but say just NO if your providers can’t help. This practice DOES have exotic veterinarian(s) at times therefore they should have a policy in place for urgent cases when they are not on call. *Their entire staff should be educated on the basics of emergencies in exotics to direct elsewhere.* I previously worked in veterinary medicine and this was a reminder of why I walked away - poor animals suffering for no good reason, even when you put trust in “professionals”. If your pet has to wait but you know they are truly critical - spend that time in the waiting room googling other providers. I assumed he was in good hands and now my heart is heavy with guilt.

We are so worried and frantically looking for an oncologist. We were so thankful to have found a schedule at Blue Pearl as recommended by our Banfield Queen Anne doctor. The oncologist at Blue Pearl Dr. Kendra Lyons is knowledgeable, emphatic and compassionate. Definitely a great vet!

Listen people I’m telling you right now do not go here. They tell everyone to take out loans to pay for services animals don’t even need. I denied getting the loan and they wanted to kill my cat afterwards. Said he was going to die! Well guess what he’s still alive! Everyone who goes here will be scammed I repeat do not go here. I ended up paying over 700 dollars for a ultrasound. They did not help me at all. Stay away!!!!!!! He never needed whatever surgery they suggested. Stay away find another place!

just called the emergency line. We are new to this area and just discovered a few fleas on our dog. They are older and currently taking pain medicine. I called and when they answered they asked if it was an emergency and asked if not if I could hold. I told them I could hold. When the person got on the line, they asked what was going on. I described the issue: we just discovered fleas on our dog, he is taking this medicine, we want to treat him but want to make sure there won’t be any problems missing medication. She told me to call my vet… it’s Sunday… my vet isn’t open, which is why I called blue pearl for advice and guidance. She told me she couldn’t help with the meds so I asked if she has any advice for flea treatment. She said no and then she hung up on me. I was shocked. This person was not nice. They were not helpful AT ALL. not a sliver of empathy. If o could rate less than one star, I would. I understand this wasn’t a 911 emergency situation. But, even dispatch has a non emergency line. I told her from the beginning that it wasn’t an emergency and still, no help.when youre on hold, the recording explains how these people are licensed and go through similar training to doctors and that you can trust them. Lol that’s not true.

We were lucky that the ER here was open last month because they absolutely saved our dogs life. He probably wouldn’t be here today without their quick action. They were also really patient with us during his week long ICU stay and treated him so well.

Dr. Itzkow was fantastic. During a pet emergency. Tonight was very hard and confusing with out dog having a seizure. She was very knowledgeable and made sure we got all the information we needed and even provided information on our dog that wasn't related to his emergency but she discovered in the exam. She showed genuine care for the animals that were all here, but also compassion to the human companions. Not just us,, but everyone we saw her speak to. The situation sucks but she provided security in knowing he was in top notch care in this emergency. Thank you.

The work that was done to my pet there was good however the service was awful, I was told to have my pets bandage changed weekly and I did for the first 3-4 weeks religiouly have them change it despite the 100 dollar fee, after having home issues I missed a week of having it changed and still couldn't make it that week so I asked them if I should have my primary vet change it and they told me no and to wait until doctor perry is in next week, after waiting doctor perry was extremely rude and told me I should never revisit there clinic again even though the office told me to wait. This is how they treat a customer that spent 13k dollars cash for there pets surgery, I can only imagine how they would treat someone who was paying there office less

I have tolerated Blue Pearl for years, but no more. I needed a simple prescription refill authorization for a prescription diet. After ignoring the request for NINE DAYS and not responding to my multiple phone calls, I called again this morning and was told that because the prescribing specialist vet no longer worked there, their medical director, Dr. Hicks, refused to fill the prescription. Why not tell me this a week ago during one of my many phone calls? How was I supposed to know that my vet no longer worked there?? Now my dog is down to the very last of her prescription diet, and I have to track down the prescribing vet at his new clinic and start the prescription refill approval process all over again. If you've ever had a dog on a prescription diet, you know how critical it is that they remain on the diet. Sudden changes in food can have incredibly serious consequences for fragile dogs. How should this simple situation have been handled so as not risk my dog's health and also maintain a paying customer? How about approving this ONE TIME request for HILLS POTATO AND VENISON as a substitute for ROYAL CANIN POTATO AND VENISON and at the same time, offer to make me an appointment with their new Internal medicine vet? That would have been a great way to handle the situation, but as we know, customer service is not Blue Pearl's strength. I will take my pets, and my money, to one of the other nearby and far more competent vet hospitals (Summit Vet Referral, Olympia Vet Specialist, Uptown Animal Hospital, etc. ), and I strongly encourage you to do so, too.

Casper became so sick, so fast and the doctor took really great care of my little Angel. I miss him so much and I'm so sorry Casper. My house is so empty feeling. I miss his little teddy bear sound with all of my soul. Thank you everyone who tired to save my little man. His heart failed so Casper took my heart with him. I miss my baby.
