I brought my dog Clancy to have an injection of Cytopoint and an examination. Everything is done by phone because I guess of Covid. Anyway I was questioned about Clancy's health by a tech and she said after the examine, the Vet would follow up with me that following Monday to talk about what she found. I never received a phone call. So I called Tuesday because Clancy was inching again and I was assured that the Vet would call me to discuss the matter. She never called. It seems Banfield is eager to take your money but follow through is non existent.

I had to start taking my dog in once a month for shots almost three years ago after she was diagnosed with Addison's disease. They've always been so good with her and nice to me. I started out at the 11th+Belmont location and Dr. Schuster was the best! I moved and needed to switch to the Lake Oswego office and they've been great there, too. I have two of my pets on the Wellness plan and will be adding my two newest pets soon. For me it just makes sense and makes everything seamless and easy.

Always caring about our pets. It takes a special person to be a vet and staff. I can pretty much always count on them. They are conveniently located throughout the country so when I travel they've been available!

We have been on the Banfield puppy plan for almost a year and I am very disappointed in Banfield for two main reasons. Banfield used to be able to see your dog same day or next day, but now it seems they care more about getting as many pets on their "plans" as possible. While the vets and employees are very nice, we called this morning to get an appt for our puppy who has some sort of infection, which she has had before. The next available appt isn't for NINE DAYS. I urge you not to take your pet here. Not having an appt for nine days is unacceptable. This same thing has happened to a friend of mine. Another thing I don't like is them offering for you to drop your dog off at 9am and pick them up at 4pm or 5pm that same day. We did this once so our dog could be seen by a vet in between their appts. She came home, cried she had to pee so badly, and gulped two bowls of water. Our 9 month old puppy should not be sitting at the vet all day with a skin infection. Oswego Vet is a few blocks away and got us a next day appt. I would highly recommend taking your pet there, and paying the extra cost.

Had an appointment for 9am just to get vaccine shots but it took them till 4pm to even get to our cats. Picked them back at 6, not sure of they were even offered water, once of the cats was super dehydrated and we had to take him to ER next day.

I have consistently been unhappy with this vet for multiple reasons. And what is more frustrating is that I pay $70 a month for being apart of one of their wellness plans. I feel I should receive far better support than what my pet and I are receiving. I think they may be a good place for pets that just come in for annual check ups, etc but not for pets that need more specialized attention. So, just to set the stage, my sweet girl has multiple health issues. She has Chronic Bronchitis, which she has had to take medication for regularly for the last year. She has a chronic skin condition (all over yeast infection) she is on a special diet, takes medicated baths, etc. She has dry eye and gets drops and an antibiotic drops in her eye daily. She has already had to have one eye removed because it caused her to go blind in that eye. She is amazing lovable sweet girl and deserves amazing care. Here are two main reasons I will look for a private practice veterinary clinic: The last time I called I asked to have my pets medication (which she has taken multiple times) refilled for her chronic bronchitis as she had been hacking non stop for the past two nights. Not only did I feel bad for her but of course this had kept us up all night as well. When I phoned in Sunday morning I was told that my vet was not working until the next day and I would have to wait since he was the only one familiar with her. I asked if another vet could just review her chart and just call me to discuss so we did not have to through another night of this. As stated earlier she has taken this medication quite a few times as she has a chronic condition. She explained how busy they were but she would leave a note. Well of course I never received a call. I proceeded to call the next morning inquiring about my request. I was told that a note was left just for my vet to call me but not any other vet. Again the vet was extremely busy and she would leave another note. We then proceeded to call back again later that afternoon hoping to get an answer, but no, still to busy. This was not unfortunately the first time I had run into this type of service from the front desk. The other reason I am not happy with Banfield is the lack of knowledge they have regarding your pets charts. I am sure I am slightly jaded as her previous vets were a part of a smaller private practice. When she went in for visits they knew everything about her history before they spoke to you, they read her chart to know what her issues were, what tests she had taken, what medications she was on or had taken in the past. You do not get that kind of service with Banfield. The last three times she has gone in for her Bronchitis, the vet (aka who is supposed to be familiar with her) always brings up that he noticed the issues with her dry eye and her skin condition. Asking if she has ever tried a certain eye medication, or tried a medicated shampoo. The last time he brought it up I almost started laughing because I could not believe he was asking. I wanted to say "Do you not read her chart??" She is using eye drops, medicated shampoo and your clinic is the one prescribing these for her. How are you not seeing that? maybe they run on auto pilot and do not pay attention, but they should. Anyway, this vet may be great for basic needs animals but I feel they are so big that they truly do not give personalized care as our animal babies deserve.

They take great care of our puppies (I know they aren't puppies anymore), they treat our dogs like their own. Fantastic people there. Mary at the front has the best most caring personality! Everyone there is awesome.

Very informed vet techs. My cat needed his claws trimmed. Just 10.00$. Done very quickly and in loving environment. I would recommend to all.

Changed my appointment time to 15 minutes earlier, claimed they told me (they did not! I received no voice-mail!) Then called me to cancel because I showed up at the time selected online & confirmed via phone, not the time they decided to move my appointment to. Now I have to find a vet open on the wknd, or my dog has to wait all wknd to get vet care, thanks soooo much banfield!

They are only doing curbside take your pet themselves appointments fyi. I told them my dog acts very weird if he's taking away from me and they said that's how they're doing it, sorry. As that's happening here comes a gentlemen out of the building with his dog, weird! Wish I was told I can't go inside with my pet before I drove there. My biggest issue is my dog has some strange things going on right, so if I can not go in with him how is the vet to answer my questions I have and to look at the issues I'm there for especially seeing how my K9 friend has about 20 different bumps I was there to be checked out. Just my thoughts and experience, but I wouldn't waste your time going there if I was you.

I was called late last week, from a tech at Banfield, the young lady said my dog’s (Lily) Wellness plan was expiring, and did I want to get Lily in before her plan expired... of course I said yes, and she made an appointment for Lily..I thought is was so nice that they called, to let me know they were now open and she was still covered under her wellness plan, the office had been closed for around two month Before this... so I was so happy to get the call that they were now making appointments.. Lily’s appointment was at 9:00 this morning, the gal mentioned something about cost, but I thought she was talking about an extra fee for an added blood test I was having done.. I was told Lily could be picked up in about 2 hours, at 2 1/2 hours I hadn’t received a call, so I called then, the receptionist said Lily hadn’t been seen yet, the doctor had be doing some surgeries.. I wasn’t happy that she had been there that long but I understand that some procedures can take longer than planned ... Giving them the benefit of doubt. I finally got a call 3 1/2 hours later, no reason or apologize for Lily having to be there in a Cage for so long... I was told at the time that I would be charged the full about for her visit, because it was one day, ONE DAY after her plan had expired, I politely explained that the office had called me and told me if I brought in by this date she would still be covered under her Wellness Plan... once again the vet office has been closed for around two month and No appointments were being taken... I have been going to this Vet office for 8 years, Dr. Larson, was very dismissive on the phone, just saying this morning I was told there would be a charge, and not even listening when I told her, the gal that made the appointment said I was covered... Why would I come in the day AFTER my Wellness plan expired.... I felt like I was treated rudely and unfairly... I was told I was covered when the gal called Me, and even if so, it was only one day later (even though I didn’t know that), I’ve been a customer for 8 years, and the offices were closed for months, so I couldn’t have even gotten in earlier... sure seems like I could have been treated more fairly ... To add to my frustrations, I had to sit in the parking lot for 30 minutes for them to bring Lily out.. I dropped her off at 9:00 and didn’t get her back until 2:00... for what normally would have been at the most a 20 minute appointment, and No cage time for Lily...

After keeping her dog all day, they called my elderly mother in law to say he was ready for pick up, but she needed to come in herself and speak to the vet, can't do it over the phone this time. Oh and don't come in for another hour while you wonder what's wrong. Instead of picking him up myself, she had to get dressed, pull out the walker, and make her way to the car. We called from the parking lot, and they put us on hold for 15 minutes. Eventually the vet came on and spoke...on the phone mind you...for 25 minutes frequently looking up the instructions she gave, and then it was wait another 15 minutes to bring the dog out. She could have had the whole transaction from her comfortable chair. There was two other cars there. I gave two stars because the dog is still alive, they could have had three. I would like to point out, I have brought my own critters here for years and generally have had very positive experiences. I'm calling this an outlier.

I've been in twice, once with my dog, another time with my cat. Dr Walker was our vet, and Rochelle the vet assistant both times. They were very clear and personable, I felt my pets were in good hands. The information packet they gave me afterwards was easy to read, unambiguous, and very helpful.

Dr.s & Staff are fine. Location is fine as well. However do not sign up for pet insurance they offer. Total scam. They told me I still owed money after my year and threatened to send me to collections (over $36) I paid balance but felt it was basically stealing from me.

Had a very bad experience here. Banfield in general does not have good vets or service. Dr. Deeder in particular is one to avoid!

Awful experience . We just moved to this area and were forced to change locations. The boy working the reception was extremely rude and condescending almost to the point it felt like he was reveling in it. Each sentence was punctuated with a hair flip. I'm glad my wife took the lead on speaking with him. I wouldn't have been as nice. After today I'll drive out of my way to get good service for my 3 pets.

If you have a young healthy pet, sure go to banfield. If you have a pet with health issues, if you have an older pet or a pet that needs surgery. Don't go to banfield. You will regret it. They will want to do things that are unnecessary. We have 2 bad surgical experiences at banfield. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The Emergency Vet in Lake Oswego is great, especially if your pet needs surgery!!

These vets have taken great care of my pets for the last few years. They go above and beyond in their care which I really didn't expect from a chain practice like this. They are a tad expensive though.

had a very poor experience with your pet hospital today, and would like for some assistance. I called a few weeks ago and asked the front desk if my dog was due for a dental on his wellness exam to be covered by his plan and was told yes, so I scheduled it for today. When I arrived, come to find out that he was not actually due until Mid-February, and I was asked to pay for my February fees plus renew my wellness plan at an increased rate. I should have been informed of this long before I actually showed up for the visit. By the time we started going back and forth about this they had already started procedures on my dog and I felt like I had no choice but to agree to renew my plan, and I was told that I would not have to pay today for the last month of my wellness plan because it was your clinics mistake. I got a call several hours later from Dr. Larson stating that she wanted to know if they could extract a tooth from my dog. I let her know I did not have the finances at that time, and she informed me they were still working on waiving the fee I was PROMISED this morning I would not have to pay. I have had it with Banfield, and decided to come pick up my dog, I let her know I was on my way and she too, in addition to the vet tech I spoke with this morning, let me know I would not have to pay the fee. I got to the clinic, and your front desk person told me I had no choice but to pay the fee since I did to go with the "deal" and decided to cancel and not renew my plan. Both the vet tech and Dr. Larson did not tell me I would have to pay anything today, in fact they expressly told me I would NOT and did not say anything about it being contingent on early renewing the wellness plan. I was also told by Dr. Larson that they would take care of canceling my plan. Your front desk person told me I would have to do it, when I called to do so it is a 73 minute wait time. I have already wasted half of my day getting my dog to your clinic early. arguing with your staff, and going to pick him up again without getting his dental cleaning. The clinic told me that I would not have to pay next months fee for renewing early, and that my plan is canceled. I am not going to be happy at all if another dollar comes out of my account to Banfield. If you truly cared about pets and people over money, this experience would look a lot different. I feel very much like Banfields priority is money, and not the health of my dog and I am so very disappointed.

Dr Walker and his staff are not only knowledgeable, they are compassionate too. They were eager to see the new feral kitten my son saved from the red-tailed hawks. Today Lucky is happy and healthy!
