They were able to see my 4 month old puppy on a Monday morning. He was diagnosed with broken leg. They were very good about checking before providing care. Keeping me informed of costs. They referred me to an orthopedic surgeon, and surgery was scheduled 4 days later. They did a great job.

The staff showed exceptional service, responsiveness and communication. They provided in-depth information about our cat, and estimates regarding pricing. They will communicate via text as …

My wife and I would like to say thank you for all you guys did for our best friend "Chili" We had to say goodbye to Chili last night. He lost his battle with a stroke. It hurts so much and seems so empty without him this morning. Please say a prayer for us to get through this. The doctors and staff were so respectful and caring at this devastating time for us. You guys truly cared and it made all the difference in the world to us. May God bless you and the job you all do. Thank you Bob and Ruthy.

I cannot Thank the team enough for taking care of us. My Great Dane became very ill very quickly, and I franticly called around a bunch of hospitals to be turned away. Even when I called this hospital, I was told they are at capacity, however when I explained what was going on with my pup, the front desk person was very compassionate and realized quickly that this was truly urgent. I was told I can come on down, we made a long drive from Winlock and were triaged immediately. Thank you everyone at the front desk, all the nurses that took care or my pup while he was hospitalized and doctors - Dr Burggren, Dr Neil and especially Dr Marble who was in constant communication with me. I have worked in the veterinary field for many years and have very hard standards- you guys were amazing!

My experience was deplorable. Rude staff members on top of me crying and being scared for my pet then being told they dont have time for us was awful. Maybe if they stop worrying about replying to the reviews they get on google maps and focus on the patients, they could have time for the pets that come in with real concerns but aren't actively dying as well.

Our family cat was attacked and was not able to be saved, but I know that she was given the best care and loved on by all who treated her.

We called about our elderly sick dog with liver issues who is bleeding and throwing up, they said they’d be able to see her, we let them know we live an hour away and we made the trip. When we arrived they said they would not be able to see her AT ALL. Absolutely unprofessional and horrible, our dog could be dying. Drive a bit further and get a better vet, even life or death don’t come here, they might not even see your pet if you do show up!

Turned away my mom and our dog after she was a bit short with them after waiting 40 minutes saying the vet refused to see the dog because she had been rude. Our dog was having a severe reaction to something she had eaten when she escaped the building and needed to be seen immediately. The last time something like this happened the dog only survived due to treatment within a certain timeframe. Turning away the dog because the owner was upset due to panic is completely unprofessional and as the only emergency vet around its downright nasty to do that to an animal.

The staff is excellent, saved my dogs life, for sure. Was sent home w little direction on how to navigate things like food, soooo many choices! Very expensive, but not sure how compares, just grateful to have dog in my life, hope for a few more years together! If your dog means as much to you as mine does, this is the place to get Emergency Care :)

If you have the opportunity to drive further away, do. If you have a big dog who is fear reactive, make the drive. Because if your dog happens to bite because they are terrified and in pain, there’s a good chance they will over sedate and kill your dog. Or offer to charge you $2000 to “monitor” coming off anesthesia. We went in with a pup who happened to have eaten some fabric, but didn’t appear blocked or obstructed. We were told that there was no immediate danger, and if it didn’t pass in 2-3 days to come back. Okay, understandable. What they didn’t tell us is that he would never wake up from the anesthesia, or that they wouldn’t return our call when we were worried that he wasn’t waking up. And then, when he finally passed because he was over sedated as a response to the aggression, it took them over 30 minutes to come get him from the car even though we called ahead to say we were on our way. Overall, I can safely say I’d much rather drive an hour away just to not have to go here again.

I called before coming here and was told to come and text when I arrive. I received a text saying we are at capacity and we apologize for the wait. Since I called before hand, and the message says “we apologize for the wait” I waited. For 5 hrs assuming it was really busy. I called to ask for an update and someone came out and asked me if I was sent a form and I wasn’t. Once everything was figured out after 7hrs, I was helped and the vet was very friendly. Everyone I spoke to was friendly. I am giving 1 star because I think they really really need a better system with clear communication. And because they take ridiculously long. I definitely could have called earlier instead of being patient but lesson learned. I was here from 1-10:30pm.

I brought my cat in completely unsure what was happening to him. He was taken in right away and 2hrs later we were told we could go home and wait for the vet to contact us. When the vet finally called, he explained exactly what was happening to my cat, gave me three options of how we could proceed, told me the pricing. We picked up my cat and he was discharged quickly, with his meds and a prescription for his new cat food. Everyone was so friendly and concerned and knowledgeable. If I have another emergency, I’ll be coming here!

Ive met lovely people who work here. But the communication is terrible terrible terrible! ???? I don't live local and I've had to sit in my car from noon bouncing around to entertain my kids to sitting here in the parking lot waiting right now 9:30pm...because they told me to come get her.

Horrible customer service I took my dog in for internal bleeding I had called ahead of time and the girl said to just bring him in didn’t mention anything about having to reserve a spot and they made us stand out in the rain and finally came to unlock the door and told us we need to text a number and wait to be called in ( all of this while it’s POURING outside on me and my dog ) they could’ve let us in to sign in at least

I was told I'd have to wait 6-8 hrs b/c my dog didn't appear to be in distress with vitals. Took her to a tacoma ER, they saw her, found a bowel obstruction, and had her in surgery in hours. Very unhappy w Oplympia, but grateful my dog is ok.

The worst vet experience of my life. They told me over the phone to bring my dog in and they would get him in right away due to him eating his dog bed , the time sensitivity to the emergency was high. Once we arrived they would not see my dog. I was so confused and in shock that they were turning us away in this emergency. Im very disappointed and i will never go back to this " emergency vet " . shame on them.

I wish I could give this hospital 1000 stars. After calling around for what seemed like hours to try and get my dog Bella in to be seen this was the only Pet Hospital that didn’t hesitate to tell me to bring her in with the symptoms she was having. On the way there Bella had a seizure and then another one in their parking lot. They rushed out to my truck and took her and my other dog Bailey in without hesitation and they were calming me down at the same time. After they examined both of them and the bag I brought in that was thrown into my back yard it was confirmed they were maliciously poisoned with Bromethalin. Unfortunately they both passed away. I can not express how grateful I am for the staff at this hospital for trying as hard as they could and the compassion they have for my family. Dorian (staff member) was with us from beginning to end and was with Bailey when she passed. I will forever remember you guys for what you have done for my family. Thank you so much. I highly recommend Olympia Pet Emergency if your babies need immediate treatment.

I was there on 7/25/2018 to have my beloved pet sent to heaven. the tech who brought us to the room was very biased, stiff, and rude. she told me that the process would not be permitted because SHE ( a tech) didn't think that my dog should be sent to heaven. she was unaware of the incontience, the inability he had to get onto the couch, the increasing pain that no longer responded to the high doses of 4 different pain medications that we was on. In a time of grief and sadness I was met with judgement from someone who knew my dog NOT. The vet fully agreed with my humane decision but her comments and her attitude tainted this already difficult experience. I will NEVER return.

Okay, I understand all vets and vet emergency places are packed and are booked out so.. the one star is for them accepting us on short notice. They were more local to us then Tacoma. We live in Centralia. So, our dog got hit by a car. He's okay but his leg was very.... not good. We arrived there at 8pm Saturday and were stuck there until 5:30am Sunday morning. I wish the communication would have been better for us because I did not sleep that entire time. I could have left, eaten, gotten warm clothes, slept for a few hours, and I would have been back on the dot. I felt like I was at St. Peters hospital. So, thank you for helping my dog even though the bones in his leg were not touching in order to heal. So... Thank you for giving him pain pills? Please, understand that communication is key in this world full of non-communicators.

Incompetent doctors or just maltreatment for my cat, luckily had an appointment scheduled at her regular vet yesterday (Monday) but over the weekend her condition worsened and she needed medical attention since she was struggling to breathe. They gave her a fluid overload and caused more pain. They had her for 2 days and could not figure out what was wrong, her normal vet figured it out within the hour and started aggressive treatment for her high fever and excessive drooling as well as antibiotics for the real problem. These guys gave a different answer every time we called and never figured it out.

I beg you, take your animals elsewhere. Anywhere. Take them to a friend who knows she smallest amount about animals and you'd be in better hands. There was one Dr who knew what he was doing, the lady doctor is condescending and doesn't listen to the owner. Please do not subject your animal to maltreatment and go elsewhere, drive all the way to Portland if needed, please get your animal proper care. This place is a waste of time and money

Today we had to take our beloved dog in to be euthanized due to the pain she was in from severe arthritis. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with such a sad time. From the check-in to the last moments with our dog the staff was attentive, thoughtful and kind. I highly recommend Olympia Pet Emergency for times like this.

We had a very ill cat (poisoning most likely) after 3 weeks of deteriorating health we needed to have him euthanized. The care team did a great job helping us through the process and let us take the time we needed.

Coming back here MONTHS later, but this ER is so amazing. They took extremely good care of my Husky, Luna who had Parvo when she was younger. She wouldn’t eat or drink for days, had a 103° fever, was puking, had diarrhea, & didn’t want anyone to even touch her. They did everything they could to save our baby like we asked! We didn’t care about the price we just knew we NEEDED her in our lives. ❤️ This is her before Parvo, during Parvo, & now happy & healthy! Thank you SO much Olympia Pet Emergency!! She is the light of our world. ✨
