I can not speak more highly of SVS. From the moment I first took Sedona in, to our sad ending of our fight with lung cancer, all the staff from the front office, to our oncology team was professional, empathetic, and all around the best of the best. They are better than my doctors for myself! Sedona (my heart doggy) came to SVS after a cough antibiotics did not resolve, and highly concerning X-rays. From first seeing the ER department for a needle aspirate biopsy, to her CT scan and open chest surgery I had 100% trust in her care team. They all worked so lovely together to provide the best care for Sedona. The front office never made me feel anxious. I was able to call anytime during the day or middle of the night to check on Sedona after her surgery. When our pathology came back we were referred to Dr. Choy in oncology. He is a natural, and explained things in a way I was able to fully understand, and helped me make decisions so Sedona would receive the best care. Dr. Choy was so caring, and always made the time to explain things to me and answer questions. Sweet Sedona touched everyone she met, and although she had a devastating diagnoses, I couldn’t imagine having a better care team. Thank you all for your care, love and support as Sedona and I walked the path of lung cancer. She never lost a fight, she gained another life with me, and will now forever be safe, and free of pain. Fly high baby girl. ???????? P.S, Embrace Pet Insurance gave us the opportunity to fully care for Sedona, and I was able to say yes to all treatment without any hesitation.

My dog got in to a scuffle with his dog friend. The wound we found late at night and realized it needed attention asap. This Kirkland SVS advised me of their wait could be 3-4 hrs and let me speak with a nurse regarding the injury for any tips of treatment incase we couldn’t make it in. After discussing the wound more they felt he should come in even though they had a long wait time. Once we arrived, the team there quickly got to work to check the wound and made progress so he could be treated by the dr soon. My estimated time of waiting was less than 2 hrs and everyone was very friendly, explained it all very easily and made sure we went home feeling happy despite a wound. Thank you!!!

No stars. I am still in shock. I brought my kitty in who was having tremendous difficulty breathing after three closer emergency vets could not fit me in they recommended these guys. I was forced to make a decision based on my ability to pay on the spot at the minimum over $3,3000 and the high quote was almost $7,000. I wanted to take him home but they said the only alternative was how they put it "compassionate euthanasian". I am heartbroken. They are completely money driven. I lost my beloved kitty yesterday and will be haunted by this experience for the rest of my life.

Thank you so much Seattle Veterinary Specialists! My puppy became very ill on Friday night and much worse into Saturday morning. I called them despite being very busy, and probably understaffed, they took him on! Reese has aspiration pneumonia and would most likely not have survived without their care. Not to mention all staff members where very friendly and helpful!

The vet managers lied to me and said they couldn't send my cats prescription across state lines which is a lie. Talked to several vets and they said they've never heard of that. And of course the next day another vet sent the prescription ACROSS STATE LINES. Weird. Not sure why they would lie about this. I tried to email them about it and no answer. So they could've helped me so my cat wouldn't go without meds for days but instead they chose not to.

They were very quick to answer the phone And were very courteous and caring about the situation. They were able to get our dog in right away. I felt that he got excellent care with a reasonable prices. They went through everything with me and did not try and push any extra services. They were helpful and explained everything

I brought my 3 month old pup here tonight after she had a sudden change in condition and even though they were at capacity they took a quick look over her to determine if it was something I would need to take her to another Emergency Vet for or if I could take her home and watch her. The tech was absolutely amazing and stayed out in the parking lot and answered all of my questions! I am so grateful for their kindness and generosity despite how busy they were! *Aspen will make a full recovery and I’m just so happy she is okay!!!

The care the technicians delivered Tuck on the night of his passing was extraordinary. When I pulled up out front of Blue Pearl around 11pm, two lovely people came out with a stretcher trolley and blankets. Despite knowing Tuck had passed, they treated him with such love; transferring him from my SUV to their trolley while still on his favorite bed, and immediately covered him with blankets to keep him comfortable. As I choked out my goodbyes, the technicians exuded love and patience. They made navigating Tuck’s death that night a peaceful process that I will cherish. I highly recommend this facility.

We were turned down by a different vet for being at capacity, but Blue Pearl worked with us and our original vet and went above and beyond to help us with our girl who hadn't eaten in 4 days! So appreciate everyone there and all their hard work!!! 100% recommend!!!

Dr Vince did surgery on my Frenchie for brachiocephalic obstructive airway syndrome and my boy is doing so great! What an easy recovery it was too. Dr Engen did surgery on our other Frenchie a few years ago, also wonderful results and fast recovery. The surgeons are so easy to talk to and so good at what they do. I wouldn't trust my dog to anyone else.

Let’s first start this review with that my dogs dead after their care. Second I had to wait for 10 hours! Yup, you heard it right, 10 hours outside their door. I was told it would be a couple hours, and time kept passing and passing and passing to a point where it got a bit ridiculous. I took the dog in about a week ago with an upset stomach and diarrhea, ran a bunch of tests that showed nothing. The vet blamed it on “possible change of food”. Charged me $1300. Next day, they had my usual vet call me (that’s not connected to them) and recommend an echo scan for his heart per this visit. Soooo why did no one mention anything to me about this at the visit when I was there?! We’ve known about his heart murmur for a long time and it’s been under control with medication. They are quick to rack up the bill an obscene amount, and slow to actually help. Where did you guys drop the ball so bad that my dog dropped dead?! I’ve got many questions and concerns about the way you guys handle any animal. If you can these expensive tests, why can’t you tell me anything?!

The facility is great , the staff is good also. Took my dog to emergency and was seen within few minutes. I’m taking away two stars just because obviously this place is very money driven. My dog had back issues and was advised to have a surgery. My dog had already had surgery a few months earlier and I had doubts that another surgery will actually improve his condition. I at least expected to talk to a doctor first but instead all the communications were done through the front desk and of course they couldn’t answer all of my questions. I asked to talk to a doctor but instead during our dialogue they told a few times that i need to pay 10k upfront to proceed with the surgery and after the payment is done doctor would be able to talk to us. Again , I haven’t even spoke to a doctor!!! Very disappointing experience. I was willing to pay all the money in the world for the health of my four legged friend but I obviously should hear explanation from a DOCTOR why I should chose surgery over other alternatives. I opted out for a medication treatment ...

Absolutely 5 star! At midnight with 5 other patients, these wonderful people took fantastic care of my little pup with smiles on their faces and wonderful customers service skills despite it being 4th july weekend and them being exceptionally busy. They were so gentle and kind with my little pup. Words cannot express how grateful I am and how wonderful they are!

Shout out to your receptionist, Sydney, for saving my dog’s life by delivering a blood transfusion set. She was so kind and caring when I couldn’t hold myself together. You are all outstanding with what you do!

We only found this amazing team of people because of a near-death experience one of our cats went through, after the first vet's office we visited misdiagnosed her issue and told us to come back the next day. We took her to Blue Pearl, they kept her for three days helping her recover and keeping us super up to date - they called twice a day with updates, sent pictures, and helped us feel connected even though we were unable to visit because of COVID19. Every subsequent visit has been fabulous, and they've even helped us out by giving us our cat's prescription medicine to cover us when it was sold out literally everywhere. Thanks Cameron!! They're a super kind group of literal lifesavers.

I called this vet an hour ago, instead of letting me know it could be all night before my dog could be seen, they strung me along, had me write an email giving the information about what's going on and to wait for a phone call back to receive advice about what to do. I asked how long this would take, and the girl on the phone said "a little while". 40 minutes later I called back and she was rude and said "well this is an ER, we are very busy, if you would like to go somewhere else you can". The emergency vet in Redmond immediately told me it would be at least a 5 hour wait before my dog could be seen, which was incredibly appreciated so that I didn't have to waste any of my time. SVS was absolutely uncalled for in stringing me along.

I got out of the shower on Sunday night and found my cat had somehow (from a fall?) broken his jaw. We called a bunch of clinics and they were all at capacity, until we tried Blue Pearl in Seattle. We arrived at 1am and someone came out promptly to collect Reggie and take him in. Half an hour later, we got a call about what had happened and what they were going to do about it. They followed up the next morning with a more detailed diagnosis, and gave me options on how I could handle it. I was able to transfer my furbaby to the Kirkland clinic that day and get him in for emergency surgery, which went even better than expected. It's Tuesday, my kitty is home and curled up on his favorite blanket. He's still got a long road to recovery, but everyone I interacted with was wonderful-- the vets, the surgeon, and all the administrative staff were compassionate, communicative, and helpful. I've already called with follow up questions and the staff was so kind. They even went back to the store room to check the exact food they gave Reggie post op so I could get the same thing from the local pet store. (The staff at the Seattle clinic on Monday early morning even stayed on the phone with me while I circled the block trying to find the parking garage in my tired and panicked state. Bonus points to her for handling me so well, too.) Overall it felt like a great team of professionals. They gave my pet the best care I could have asked for and I am forever grateful.

My dog began to have extremely bizarre and out of the ordinary symptoms. Such as wheezing, diarrhea, vomiting and foaming of the mouth. I was already on the way there but figured I would call to get an idea of the wait time. A woman answered and immediately asked “hello is this an emergency or can it hold?” I replied I have reason to believe my dog has kennel cough or extremely sick with something else. To which she replied “I’m gonna stop you there kennel cough isn’t an emergency so I’m gonna put you on hold” My assumption is that they were busy and possibly at full capacity, completely understand. What I don’t understand is the lack of professionalism and respect. Without even knowing if he has kennel cough or his symptoms (because she didn’t bother or care to ask) I’m not telling you to not come here but I will tell you that if you’d like to put your loved pet in the hands of careless individuals best of luck!

This place oughta be ashamed of themselves they would have let my dog die with her puppies there only consern was the $6000 they wanted me to pay them I found another vet finnhill veterinary hospital who save my dog and all of her puppies they charge me a very reasonable price. Seattle veterinary specialists charged me $600 for half an hours worth of work and they would have let my dog go unless they got the money!! I feel sorry for anybody would ever take their animals there

Mandy Tennert was by far the worst employee this veterinarian ever had. She was rude and made clients feel like they are not in good honest hands

I have a cat with an abscess that needed attention. I called to see when they could take her in, and they said to call later in the afternoon to see what the wait times were. I called and was told 2-3 hours. I assumed that meant I made an appointment and came at the required time. No, I was told I was expected to wait in my car for 2-3 hours until they could see me. I get the concept of emergency since I worked for a vet, but their intake process is a joke. Based on a previous experience, "I'll be right out" meant 45 minutes. I said I would call back the next day. I tried in the morning and was told they had no idea how long the wait time would be. I asked for an order of magnitude. "An hour, day, week, month?" The response, "I have absolutely no idea." A month seems a little unreasonable to sit in my car. So with regard to a question I had myself about why I would do business with them, I have the same answer, "I have absolutely no idea." The vet up the hill from me made an appointment for the next day. Don't assume emergency means expediency.

Thank you so much for taking care of my fur baby, and taking us in last minute. I really appreciated the follow ups and checking in with us while he was in your care. He is recovering very well.

I took my 12 yr old Havanese in when he woke up with tremors and had irregular stool. They took him right in and told me to wait in the car. Two hours later they told me the blood work showed low platelets and they would follow up with a pathologist. They also wanted to complete fecal tests for Giardia and Ova, and gave him an antibiotic and medication for the tremors. I called back the following day for results as instructed and was told someone would call back, but no call back. This went on for a few days before they told me the fecal tests were negative, but still no results from pathology. The bill was over $600. It’s been a week and I can’t get a callback re the pathology. Their communication sucks.

I am writing this review because of my absolutely horrific, negligent and shameful experience with Dr Nicole S. Tey at The SVS Kirkland branch. Needless to say she prescribed my dog as having an injured knee when she actually had a broken toe (fortunately other vet picked it up strength away). Apart from her inept diagnostic skills the experience with her was dreadfull at every level. Her ineptitude knows no limits and I would recommend if you love your pet you will never let this woman see her. If she is the only vet available in the ER go somewhere else. With that being said after about a week of calls with the management at Kirkland I managed to resolve my issues. I will not be going back despite previous positive surgery experience. Yes she is that terrible. Blue Pearl Managment you need to censor this woman.

I don't leave many reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience about this veterinary hospital. On 3/15/2021 I noticed my cat was very lethargic and had been laying in the same spot for over 24hrs, which is very unlike him. He also hadn't been eating or using his litter box. I called my cat (Rajah), while shaking his treat bag.. He attempted to walk towards me but was walking very wonky. My bf picked him up and our cat meowed in a very painful way and clear smelly liquid went all over my BFS sweatshirt. I called around 15 vets in tears but no one would let us come in. Finally I called this vet and right away we made arrangements for Rajah to come in that night. There service and reassurance was astounding. They quickly realized he had an abscess that had ruptured on the top of his backside leg. He is a long haired Persian so it was quite hidden. They noticed a possible heart murmur (they mentioned it could be a fluke or stressed induced) and recommended insurances that would help me if I want to get it checked out in the future. I also have anxiety and they made me feel at ease the whole time. I love the precautions they take to prevent Covid from spreading. After the appointment they sent me a email to check in, which I thought was really sweet. They even called my cat glorious which made me smile. Even though this vet is far from me (I live in Everett) I'll definitely come back if a situation ever arises. They literally couldn't of given me a better experience. The only downside was cost, but every vet I've been to is costly. Either way, I would pay anything to assure my cat gets quality vet care. This place is a literal godsend.

My canine daughter and son has had first class quality care for any incidents that have arose the past years. As far as the expertise of the doctors, they are up there. However recently, I could barely get them to look at her. In late 2020 my daughter wasn’t eating, she was doing unwell. Begging them to see her, I was able to get her looked at. The doctor said she couldn’t find anything wrong with her even though my daughter wasn’t eating for days, whining, walking in circles and hiding in the backyard bushes. I had to go to another facility where they actually put in the time and effort to find the issue, address it and she recovered great. Now. My most recent experience with Blue Pearl, the most serious. My daughters primary doctor found tumors all over her chest. The doctor said she had cancer that spread throughout her chest and her time is almost up but I should see an oncologist to see what else could be done. I thought my poor experience with blue pearl last year was an anomaly therefore I called them to see how soon they could see my daughter, seeing as time right now isn’t on her side. They said they didn’t have anything for months. I’d think this life threatening circumstance merited a very soon appointment but no. Let me say this again. I have had fantastic experiences with SVET up until 2020. It’s as if an animal turns 10, they stop caring. 3 of 5 stars, it would be 1 had it not been for the wonderful care she and my boy received the past years. Why do I call her my daughter? Because she’s not just a “pet” or “dog” to me, she’s family. I will do whatever I have to for my daughter!

Doctor was nice, front desk staff ALWAYS put you on hold, waited in my car for 3-1/2 HOURS and my cat was put into a KENNEL when I specifically asked that he be brought to wait in my car with ME so he wouldn't stress out. The front desk gives false information about how long you have to wait, even when I called before I left home to be sure. The people who answer the phone gave me false information, and it was the worst experience of my life. I thought if I paid for an emergency room vet, I could get answers I couldn't get from my regular vet. Emergency Vets don't have all the specialized information about chronic diseases and REGULAR stuff............just the life or death stuff. Waste of a day, and my poor cat was stuck in a cage all day for nothing. BOO!
