I am extremely grateful to Dr. Johnson and the others at your office who saw my dog the same day I called. She helped assess that he needed surgery and got me into a wondering emergency room quickly. She explained things so well and took care of him like a long term patient when it was his first visit. He ended up passing earlier this week, but I have already told many people what a positive experience I had at the Critter Doctor. Thank you again.

These guys rock. Only veterinarian I could find for my cat during a quasi-emergency this summer. Did not charge me emergency rates. The staff are punctual, professional, and polite. I was able to speak directly with vet techs and the vet on the phone to address my concerns and they adjusted the treatment plan accordingly. I was very impressed by the quality of service given how busy veterinarian offices are in the COVID era. I am so grateful that they were able to see my cat and would have established my cat as a permanent patient if the location were more convenient.

My puppy died during neutering surgery at Critter Doctor hospital on Nov 2nd. My puppy is a 7-month old Yorkie boy. He passed away during pre-medicine step, after took induction. He was completely healthy before surgery. No heart disease no any problem. He was already 5lbs and very strong. He is mommy & daddy’s sweet heart. I gave myself several weeks to clam down to write this review. I brought my puppy to critter doctor hospital at 08:00 am. On 09:46 am I received call from them that my puppy’s heart stop beating. We went back to hospital and saw his body at:10:20am. Before we took the puppy home, we asked them to send a copy of operator logs to our email and they said they will do. However, we didn’t received it until 4:40pm, so we checked with them. They said they will send it by the end of day. At 7:30pm I received the log (pic 1) Then we found that the time for logging pre-medicine and induction use was 10:40am. Next day we went back and asked them many questions. For this wrong time, they said they record the medicine and time on paper and logged into system later. They then showed me the paper (pic 2). Starting from here is my guess and why I gave 1-star to this hospital. I am heartbroken, I may already mad and wrong: 1. I asked my friends who are doctors or working at shelters. They said it’s likely the propofol which caused the incident. Propofol can cause significant decrease on heart rate. According to the paper log, they injected 1.25ml propofol for induction. 1.25ml is a small and safe volume even to a small size puppy. However, this is a paper log not from logging machine. I don’t believe its authenticity. 2. I know every surgery has risk. But male dog neutering surgery is really a small surgery based on my knowledge , very unlikely to be an accident like this. The technician who did the induction was holding a license in PENDING status. It should be legal since the main veterinary has active license. However, I think the lack of experience might have increased the risky of the surgery. 3. I talked with them on the next day. The doctor kept saying that many potential diseases can be the reason of the death like heart disease. While my puppy is not a new patient to them, he did the well exam at this hospital and the report showed that he was a very health baby, no issue include heart murmur. Doctor then said he probably has some hidden diseases which cannot be found by physical test. And then the admin told us that they hold meeting discussed about how could avoid this accident, and the conclusion they got is that they have nothing to improve, they have done everything correctly. Therefore, I didn’t received any apologies and reflection from them. They said they also sad about puppy’s death and they all cried, I believe it, I believe this is not what they wanted to see. However, I don’t believe they have no responsibility on the accident. I was with my puppy all the time, he was an energetic and health boy. He was from an experienced AKC breeder, both his parents are healthy. At the time we adopted him, we signed the contract that we have to do neutering for him at 6-month. This policy wouldn’t be there if there are any genetic problems in his family. Like I said I am not a doctor, that’s all my guess. I maybe wrong and I am not intend to wrong them. My puppy received a free nail cut from them before, I believe they love animals. So if I am worry, I say sorry here to the doctors and technician for this negative review. Regardless, I still have to comment this down, this review is not for my puppy and even myself. It’s a torture for me to think about that day and write this down. This is for other puppies, this is the request from all my friends who have furry babies. That’s all I have for this hospital, I completely don’t recommend based on my experience.

Critter Doctor is an awesome place to take your pets. Overall, it was a great experience! The process was very smooth and My dog seemed like she didn’t want to leave so I know she was having fun with the staff. Thanks for the great care and providing me with the knowledge I need to be a good dog parent!

With the curbside visits don't get much detail about the visit which used to when in person visit. No opportunity to ask questions of concern.

My puppy had an upset stomach and needed allergy medicine and the physician and staff at Critter Doc had availability on short notice and were kind, caring, communicative, and patient with both my dog and I. My puppy is feeling much better and he was happy to go with the clinic staff and his tail wagged when he came out. Happy pup and owner, and I cannot thank them enough!!

My cat Illy was very sick and I was unable to get him into my regular clinic or emergency because they were both full. I got the critter doctors phone number from Redmond emergency. The critter doctor acted immediately when I called. They were able to see my kitty for a drop off appointment and ran labs in house for him. I was relieved to get my kitty treatment so quickly and grateful to them for taking me on such short notice. They were very professional and my kitty is doing so much better. Thank you so much critter doctor for all your help and diligence.

My poor pup needed to be seen, they were the only clinic that would take her that day. I drove all the way from Easton, WA. So thankful for their love and kindness towards my dog. Very professional, very kind and prompt. Very much recommend! Thank you guys again for your help!

My parents took their cockapoo to Critter Doctor for 6 years. After weeks of my parents spending thousands of dollars at this clinic treating his declining health with very few answers, their dog passed away at the age of 14 last week. We don’t blame Critter Doctor, of course, but my parents left a voicemail after hours informing the clinic of his death. It’s been over a week and no one has bothered to call them back. You’d think after years of treating him and them being faithful customers, they’d bother to call. Disappointing and hurtful. The dog food delivery service showed more sympathy than the vet that treated him for a large amount of his adult life.

We picked up our puppy from breeder two days earlier, called around town for an hour but can’t find a vet who can perform well check on him. The Critter Doctor was one of the few with voice recording when phone was picked up and the person who answered the phone was super helpful to find us a time that works for us. During the pick up after the puppy was checkup, the nurse answered a lot of questions I had. The services was great. Thank you.

I love the staff here. They are always so helpful and informative in a way that makes me feel like my cats are in safe hands. They've helped us through some pretty tough situations and in every visit they were fast, courteous, and genuine. I highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough about all the wonderful people that work at Critter Doctor. I was so blown away by how compassionate, caring, and committed they all were to making sure my aging cat had the best possible care. When I needed to board my 17 yo cat I didn't think twice about his well-being. Their boarding services are affordable, clean and the staff are amazing! I spoke on the phone with Amanda, Marissa and Dr. Kat regularly and they were so kind. Unfortunately, I had to later make the tough decision to let him go, but I did it with the support and genuine kindness of the staff. I want to mention them all by name, but am afraid I would leave an important person out! And after all they did for me and Milo, I received a beautiful card in the mail signed by everyone at Critter Dr. I still cry when I look at it. I personally want to thank all of you at Critter Dr. for being my friends during a tough time. You put your hearts into everything you do and that's rare these days! xoxo-Cheryl

Keep reading, we love our four legged fur babies they give so much to us and want nothing back in return (sort of head scratches, belly rubs, walks). We had two dogs and 2 cats and the aging process just recently came for half our tribe. Which left one dog very much in his mourning. He’s had small seizures but now totally exacerbated by the loss. We took Snowball our family Bichon to get checked out and is older than we thought (he is a rescue) and is on the right couple of meditations. He has not had a seizure since starting the meds and his arthritis is allowing him to walk further around our neighborhood. Thank you our family to your practice.

Just moved back to Kirkland. After calling at least six or seven other vets with incredibly rude receptionists, I decided to fill out an appt request with Critter Doctor. Amanda called almost first thing when they opened and they were able to fit our sweet cat Oreo in the same day, no problems. Amanda was a breath of fresh air compared to the other offices I contacted. Every interaction on the phone and in person, she was so kind and thorough. The Dr that assessed Oreo was so polite and helpful and I could tell through and through they are all great people who care about your pets. So pleased to have found them to care for our fur babies for years to come. Thank you, Critter Doctor!

The staff was friendly and informative. I had to send my baby dog in alone because of the whole curbside only deal. Not a fan of that part, however I am so grateful they took great quality care of my sweet boy. Also I thought the pricing was fair, so that’s a plus ????

They were super friendly and the prices were decent more than other places around. They were also able to take care of my cat when I thought no one could touch her. I will be definitely be going back to them with my cat and my son's cat.

I visited this Hospital a couple years ago with my sister and very sick cat. After 2 visits her cat didn't make it - lots of tears at both visits. We both felt so comfortable and taken care of here. My sister and her best friend have continued to bring their cats there and very satisfied. This past week I finally brought my BIG healthy indoor 6 yr old guy cat in for his first visit. Exam, Nail Trim, Rabies Shot and quote for teeth cleaning (very reasonable.) Was informed via phone by Dr Katz its a little early for teeth cleaning. I appreciate the honesty, care & confidence that this place provides for pet owners and their pets.

We've taken our Cornish Rex cats her for 15ish years now. They've always been very knowledgeable about our cats' needs and answered all of our questions thoroughly. The entire team is friendly and patient! Cannot recommend them enough!

The staff and Docs at Critter Doctor are the best ever. We have been taking our doggie family members to them for regular and sometimes not so regular care for years. They have been amazing!

Very disappointed. Took my cat there a few times over the years. They only care about money. Always pushing useless proceedures. Brought my cat in for a dental cleaning, instead they forced me to give her a blood test (which came back fine and cost 300$) and never mentioned the dental procedure. Just took my money and ran, gave me some disgustingly cheap antibiotics and charged me 1000$. This place is a SCAM.

I brought my first dog to you and you answered so many questions that I did not even know I had. My experience was perfect. Better yet, my dog came running out of the office with a wagging tail. I thought the shots would be more traumatic for her and you obviously knew how to handle her.

New to the area and had to Take my puppy in for a xray they told me that they could not read the xrays that they need to be sent out for radiology reports. I have talk to many vet hospital around and all have a radiologist in office and would not charge extra to read xrays. I dont think this is a true vet hospital, from what many veterinarian hospital have told me would not take any pet to these people. Then they tried to tell me that she had a swelling of the bone and was not part of injury. Like really........i have family that are veterinarian as well that have told me the same thing.

It's hard to find something that should have been done better but as it goes with anything pricing could maybe be tweaked. But I will bring my puppy back to this office.
