Our Gracie and Nicky love this place! The stylists are very knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. They are so caring and loving to the pets in their care. It is truly a SPA experience!

This makes me sick to share this but my doggie had her hair cut on Saturday and then died in my arms on Sunday. Something changed in my precious pet and she was completely different. Then on Sunday she started breathing heavy and as I was looking up what could be causing this, she had an awful seizure. I picked her up from my lap and held her in her favorite blanket as she looked at me not knowing what was happening, I was crying hysterically and then she was gone. The groomers that have been there recently are not nice and I just called them to let them know that she died and to please take her off of the books and to please not send me anymore emails/texts and the person who answered the phone said “ok I have to let you go now” and just hung up on me while I was crying. NEVER take your pet here. Completely insensitive, rude and unprofessional.

Great experience, great service, will return again.

8/5/21 - VERY FRUSTRATED about their recent increase in pricing and lack of communication because it was ‘too loud’ in the shop. I submitted an online request for a basic service for my lab mix and they charged me for teeth brushing + a deshed without asking. In addition , they said they are raising their BASE rate for a lab mix from $50 to $70!!! That’s absurd. I had grooming scheduled every 3 weeks and this is how they are now treating their very loyal clients.

If you want your dog to be stuck here all day and for your appointments to fall through then this place is for you! First time I went here, they kept my dog in a kennel for 6+ hours Second time I went here I had a online schedule that they did not honor even though I arrived on time. They said they forgot to contact me, but look... If you can't schedule correctly and can't contact me then you are unprofessional and I'd rather take my chances with a rover service. Good day

Nicole was wonderful with our white Siberian husky! Especially since our girl was skittish, being it was her first time to an actual groomer! She came out looking so beautiful and feeling so soft and clean! Great experience for my first time also!

Nicole is hands down the best cat groomer I have ever taken my cat to. Benny (my 25 lb mainecoon/tabby) has been "blacklisted" at several groomers already. Nicole was so nice to work with. She was gentle and kind with Benny and used some great strategies to shave him that I've never seen anyone use before. This was the best shave Benny has ever gotten. Highly recommend her for both cats and dogs. I will definitely be taking Benny back to her.

I called to schedule an appointment and ask for information and the person that answered the phone was very rude and seemed annoyed . I was planning to switch to this place for my dogs permanent grooming services but if that is how they talk to you over the phone what do I expect in person. Not going there.

Super fast, super easy!! She was so nice. Our big girl pit bull hates having her nails cut and the lady did a wonderful job. We will absolutely be back!!

We took our German Shepherd Jacoby , there today for a walk in nail trim.and the lady was so nice .and efficient. Very happy how gentle she was...and made him feel comfortable .. will definitely be using her for all his nail trims ..

I take my ratty looking poodle-pom ther and she comes home looking like a princess.

Racheal groomed my cat who had fur knots. She is very professional, knows cats and, did an awesome job. I highly recommend her. My cat is so happy and comfortable now.

Best place to take your fur baby for grooming. Rachel (all are great btw) is our go to person. Very professional in what she do. Keep it up ladies you all are awesome!!

We brought our lil bichon/yorkie mix "boo" in for a spa day yesterday... after letting her hair grow out a little too much she had some matting and had to go short. Tracy was able to take care of everything super fast and within two hours... I love that boo doesn't have to be there for hours on end like the previous groomer. Although Tracy had to take boo's hair down really short, as expected, boo still came home looking great. Thank you Tracy!

I had a good and a bad grooming experience at this place. Biggest problem is that their online appointment system never seems to work.

Dogs always look spectacular, and are never panicked when I come to pick them up. Everyone is very nice and very much cares about the dogs.

1st visit was awesome . my big dog smelt good for almost 3 months. He wasnt flakeybut 2nd time he was so flakey it was crazy.

Love this place and so does Bella. Thanks for making her look so cute again.

Tomi did a fantastic job on my Goldendoodle. We just moved out here and will definitely be back!

This was my first time taking my fur babies to a groomers and the experience was great. The two ladies working were very sweet to all three of my dogs. 1 chihuahua and 2 miniature dachshunds. I could tell my dogs actually enjoyed it as well. If I wasn't moving out of town, I'm sure I would take my dogs here religiously!

Our experience was fantastic! Tomi was very gentle with my little Lollie and kept her happy the entire time. Lollie is only 4 months old and this age can be very challenging. When I arrived back 15 min. early Tomi was just finishing..I could see Lollie waging her tail, just having a great old time! She had the oatmeal shampoo, blueberry face treatment, nails cut and filed, teeth brushed....and she was given a bag full of treats! She was a very happy girl and did not want to leave Tomi. I was very relieved, because more than anything it was important for Lollie to have a good experience for her first grooming. She was very cute....and fluffy soft! Thank you Tomi....we will be back without hesitation!

Tomi and the entire crew is great with any dog. They take the time with every dog to make it a very positive experience. I highly recommend the Dog Spa in Kent to anyone who is looking for a reliable groomer with exceptional service.

Well my first experience was nothing like the video said it would be. Upon arriving, I was yelled at from one of the groomers way in the back asking about my week. The other groomer who was going to be grooming my dog was at the front grooming another dog. I wasn't greeted the way the video said I would be and my dog didn't have the attention they said he would have. Yes, they did kennel him along with 2 other dogs that were there. And that is the reason I chose this place because they said they don't do this. I leave my dog to go and run some errands and in the middle of my errand I get a call saying they were unable to finish my dog due to him supposedly biting the groomer. I found that to be shocking because my dog has been groomed before and did not bite. Once I arrived to get my dog he looked horrid! Not once did the the groomer reveal her bite from my dog or comment on it again. She just said she did the best she could and thought he would have a heart attack because he didn't want the muzzle on. I'm so glad we weren't charged excessive because I would not have paid for it. My dog now has been hiding in the closet for almost 24 hours. I have to bring him out to be with us and feed. He won't eat and all he does is lay around whimpering and crying as if he is in pain! I checked him out and found what appears to be a bruise on his head up over his ear. I am livid! And NO, do NOT comment back saying that it is due to mats or having his hair cut because his hair was not cut anywhere beyond the neck! His body is shaved, he has no more hair on his tail, (completely shaved), and only one hind leg was shaved. It is awful! He has a Vet appointment in the morning so I sure do hope that this bruise was not caused by the groomer! I will never recommend your place to anyone, nor will I ever go back again! His last haircut at another place was a success with no nipping, or biting like they said so I do NOT believe for one bit that he displayed the behavior they said he did. BEWARE! And please, spare me a response because you know damn well what you did and how you left my dog! You also know damn well he did NOT do what you said he did! My dog is frightened now! He has been in complete distress over how he was treated in your salon! Horrible Service and Horrible place! I would give it -5 stars but I can't so I am only giving you the one star you do not deserve! Hated it is not the description I would say I had. UPDATE: Since our visit to your salon, my dog has been to the Vet twice. He was clipped on his leg by the razor causing a small cut that later turned abscess. Our initial visit the vet looked at it and said, that was most likely the reason why my dog may have tried to bite the groomer. The first visit he was given some soap to wash the area where clipped and some anxiety pills. By the time we went for our follow up, the area that was clipped had gotten a lot bigger and started to bleed. I let the Vet know and when she looked at it she said it looked like an abscess. Sure enough it was. She had to cut an incision and clean it out. This highly upsets me because we've had almost over $300 worth of Vet bills and we still have to take him back for another follow up. The first vet visit was his anxiety and the cut leg. The follow up is where the cut on the leg had to be cut, drained and cleaned and put on antibiotics. So it is obvious that the groomer was a bit aggressive and was not careful when shaving him. She took a chunk off of him!! Of course you would say that you do not recall this incident because both groomers there would like to keep their job! This is disgusting! I will NEVER go back there again. Since all of this is going on, I have to wait to take my dog to another groomer to finish what your place did not! Not to mention all the stress we've gone through with him and all the Vet visits, bills etc.... My dog had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE there and is still paying for it!!!

We have a Great Pyrenees. They are notorious for having very thick coats and need a good brushing frequently. The best groomer we have ever found is Caitlin. She always takes as much time as is necessary to brush her thoroughly. She also uses a special "de-shedding" shampoo and conditioner. I believe that Caitlin is now managing the Dog Spaw as well. She is highly competent, knowledgeable and professional. Although we live in Tacoma, I gladly drive to Maple Valley or Kent (depending on where Caitlin is working) to have our dog groomed. Also, our dog is not afraid when Caitlin takes her leash and I leave. Caitlin is kind and considerate of my dog's ageing shoulders and is careful not to make her stand for too long at one time. We are very grateful to have found Caitlin and the Dog Spaw.

We've always had wonderful experiences at The dog Spaw and have felt that Susan and the staff take great care of our little Max! We will continue to take Max to The Dog Spaw for all his grooming needs!

Our little one always looks great! On time and friendly staff. I love knowing when she will be ready and not waiting for a call!
