Jax is an incredible resource for our one year old frenchie. We’ve taken multiple obedience classes and plan to use their boarding facilities. Their staff is top notch and the facilities are great.

Great facility, can be difficult to schedule. I appreciate the Jax team for helping me eventually get into a class. I initially had trouble finding anything that would work with my schedule. After a couple of weeks the issue was resolved. Hopefully scheduling opens up in the future to keep up with a ever growing clientele. I hope to continue developing my skills at Jax as my dog continues his therapy dog training.

This place is awesome for giving your dog a diy bath! They have everything you need...shampoo, conditioner, ear wash, towels, a fan, & etc. Would be 5 stars but the employees here are just totally MEH.

I only utilized the training camp in Kirkland. This review does not apply to other locations and services- I'm sure their classes are fine. This isn't by any means a bad place to go, but as far as the training camp is concerned, what you pay for simply isn't what you get. My partner and I were very excited to find a training camp that also provided daycare, but for $600/week, I was expecting better facilities and more training results. Also, READ THE CONTRACT. The terms of it are downright terrifying. Personally, we turned in a revised version, because the original contract essentially stated that even if they were careless, malicious, or neglectful, you couldn't hold them responsible for injury to your dog. In their defense, I'm certain that they didn't and wouldn't abuse my dog, but that's a really low bar, and one night when he came home his collar was on WAY too tight and he was so stressed out he had a panic attack, diarrhea, and vomiting on his way home. He's used to being crated in very loud and strenuous circumstances without turning a hair, so I don't know what might have happened to freak him out like that. In terms of facilities- the entire building reeked of dog urine. Reeked. I let that pass because, well, sometimes that smell is difficult to eradicate, and they do work with lots of dogs. However, their play area is literally just a concrete pad with a roof, their kennels are topless bins, and while they did take the pups individually out on leashes to the park next door, I'm pretty sure outside puppy playtime was not a thing. They let the dogs out in little groups of three, which doesn't seem big enough to really get a pack dynamic going. The trainers did seem to listen and care, but I just didn't see much improvement in our dog's behavior, and what we got from their 3 week program certainly wasn't worth literal thousands of dollars. Save your money, take your dog to [better equipped] daycare, and train at home.

We have been clients of Riverdog for 15 years. We've had three dogs go through several training classes (Puppy Preschool, Puppy Obedience, Training C.A.M.P., and agility), we've used their boarding services, and we've attended their drop-by offerings. Throughout the entirety of our 15-year experience with Riverdog, their training coaches and boarding staff have been tremendously competent and great to work with. That said, circa 2019, and consistent with some other folks' comments, it does indeed require an effort, patience, and persistence to enroll in some of their classes. It appears that they need some more administrative help to assist with scheduling, returning e-mails, answering the phone, and returning / deleting voicemails. Even as a long-time client who has spent several thousand dollars on their services over the years, many of my communications are simply ignored. But, if you're patient and persistent, once you work your way through the administrative hurdles, the classes and offerings are worth it.

I was there for a class. You could tell that the staff really enjoyed what they were doing. These folks know what they're doing.

Their puppy play time is great! It's advertised as few bucks for 30 minutes of supervised pay, but you get so much more! They give you advice on brining your puppy out of their shell, teach the importance of growling and not biting, and more. Absolutely fantastic. I would suggest waiting until your puppy has at least 2 rounds of vaccinations just in case though, as they don't require proof of vaccinations- only that you sign a wavier.

Absolutely love training with Kayley and Tabitha, but I have to subtract 2 stars because trying to sign up for classes is a nightmare... their website and class schedule is tedious and confusing to sort through. I never know what classes are available or when they start.

There are several Jax locations on the East Side, some specialize in Doggie Daycare, or Training, or Both. The bottom line is... Jax is here to help with your dog, and they do so with a passion and professionalism and a sense of wellbeing and protection for your pup that many competitors can only dream of. Whether your dog has issues that need resolution, a fun agility class , or just to watch fido while you go to the movies, Jax Riverdog has you covered. I have a year and a half Border Collie, who has energy by the leaps and bounds... Its literally never ending. We are enrolled in the Agility 101 class currently, and we both absolutely love it. The trainers are profesional, knowledgeable, courteous, caring, kind, and incredibly patient. Their goal is for the dogs to learn and explore and expand their knowledge in a fun and safe environment. We run through tunnels, on A-Frames, over teeter trotters, up on skinny walkways, around cones, feet prancing over flattened ladders, you name it, and they have it! The other parents and dogs are amazing, and we have made a ton of friends at this class. A few of us go out to the wide open grassy field across the street after class to play, and Monday nights have become my favorite night of the week. When my pup sees where we are going, he is literally crawling over me to get out of the car and bound inside to start the fun. If you don't take away anything other than this from what I have said, you can absolutely trust Jax care for your dog... They will treat your dog with so much love, it makes me smile every time I leave the place. This is an amazing group of people. If you're in need of help with your dog for any reason, all you have to do is pick up the phone and give them a call. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

I brought my puppy here for the first time. They are so amazing and make the whole experience so personal and actually take the time with your dog. They give a report card for your puppy at the end of the day when you pick them up! My puppy is now relaxing and getting ready for day 2 tomorrow! Thank you for being so amazing!!!!! I highly recommend this place for dogs all ages!

This place has given me dogs when before I had two fur kids who were starting to run my life. Dog 1 just was always pretty much perfect but aloof when other things were more interesting outside like Squirrel. When dog 2 came along well he just wanted to do what he wanted whenever (getting him fixed helped a TON!) and then it turned into a circus with the both of them. River dogs were so great and now we have the tools we need to train. And go leash free! I finally feel like I have the dogs I was supposed to have all along! Thank you!!!! It was worth every penny. *Photo of them heeling like pros on our daily morning walk to the park and fetch times.

I cannot say enough good about this place. My dog was originally with a friend of mine before I got her and she was getting in to so many fights with other dogs and small children, they considered putting her down. I asked to take her and had her go through a 3 week training with River Dog and she has been the most amazing dog ever since. She very clearly needed a lot more structure than my friends could provide. River dog not only trained her, they trained / taught me how to work with her too which I think made all the difference. At the end of every week, they walked me through her program, and even though I grew up with dogs my entire life, what I learned was absolutely more than worth the cost of the program. I was very impressed with the trainers knowledge and understanding of animals and their nature. Even years later my dog has still retained so much of what she was taught. I will never have another dog that doesn't go through their program.

The puppy parties are awesome. I wish I had found out about them sooner since our dog could only go a couple more weeks. It's perfect for socializing the pups in a controlled environment.

We enrolled our dog in Rowdy Rovers 101 and it was incredibly helpful for her. She had really bad anxiety and was hard to handle when seeing other dogs. The class helped her a lot with not getting so distracted by things and controlling her and helping her calm down became so much easier. The facility itself was large, clean, and open. And the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

I hear that their training is excellent. We are yet to start. Puppy party is not meant for little dogs.
