Dr scot hanson was a very considerate and thoughtful person. Sharing hard news is never easy. I apriciate that understanding our love of our horses is a real thing, that some people cant contain the news with out emotions leaking out . Thank you for your kindness dr. Hanson.

The vet took our call right away and saw us immediately. She was an absolute professional. This was a very deep rip from fencing. She spent at least two hours cleaning wounds and then recommended OSU. She could have stitched her up, but didn't feel her chances would be as good. OSU had more equipment and could test for infection. We appreciated her honesty and all the time she spent cleaning all the wounds. We have decided to switch to this vet as permanent for our horses and we live in Washington state.

Best vet experience ever. Wonderful staff. So happy our ponies have such great care!

Dr. Greg Schmid came out to vaccinate my horses yesterday, based on my riding instructor's recommendation. I asked him a lot of questions about general health and management, and was impressed with his depth of knowledge. He handled all 5 horses, with 5 different personalities, with care and understanding. I like that he also is an experienced rider and trainer, and grew up with horses -- that appears to enhance his deep understanding of horses. I'm excited to continue to work with him for the care of my horses.

Dr Duff performed a pre purchase exam for me..I noticed how thorough and detailed he is..I felt very comfortable on his knowledge and the ability to notice the smallest of concerns..He explained every detail to me and made me feel relaxed on any and all issues that would arise..I would definately hire him again for any of my equine needs..Dave Heim

The doctors and staff and Columbia equine have been so amazing in caring for our herd. They have unfortunately been out to our barn 3 times this week due to various issues but every time they are quick, reassuring, and easy to work with.

Columbia Equine Hospital Christy Sandquist, DVM is very compassionate, educated , knowledgeable and gave all she had for my horse. She must have raced through traffic to arrive to Max "s (2yr old Clydes) life /death situation. I originally contacted Columbia Equine because I had two horses that were demonstrating dental issues and Columbia came highly recommended. From their first visit on I felt secure in their knowledge and trusted their recommendations. In addition, I appreciate their willingness to personalize patient care plans. Due to their diligent assessment one of my horses had to be put down. As all of you who have had this experience know it is absolute heartbreak. Everyone involved in this process exercised extreme sensitivity and worked in unison to organize the process from beginning to end. Their gentleness helped to diminish trauma not only for myself but for my horse as well. I have total confidence in Columbia Equine and feel a special bond and loyalty with my care team at the clinic.

Dr. Megan Rioux-Forker and Michelle are an awesome team. While at our stable caring for two other horses, Dr. Megan agreed to look at my horse, who had just come up lame. Dr. Megan quickly diagnosed his hoof abscess, and worked with Michelle to poultice and wrap it while explaining everything to me. My horse wanted to go home with them. Thank you!

I've used CEH for over a decade for your usual equine needs but in the last week my horse has had emergency after emergency and the staff and ALL the vets have been so helpful and reasonable. I feel like I've got friends as my vets. They have been fair and honest. So I could decide what was necessary for the budget I'm on. My horse is on the mend and I'm glad I took him to Columbia Equine Hospital.

Columbia Equine is just plan awesome. They have taken care of our horses over the past few years. The compassion and expertise they have shown has been amazing. My daughter lost her pony back in May, and Dr Christie was amazing how she dealt with us but putting the needs of our horse first. Great bunch of people from the front desk to the doctors. I am so happy with all of my experiences here! Staff is awesome and Dr Greg is such a great vet. He spends plenty of time with me, is always helpful with any question I have, he's super responsive by emails even after the appointments, he stays up on the research and is In tune with my horse. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the wonderful service they provide! Highly recommend!

Love all of my experiences with each of the 3 veterinarians I have met and their assistants! Great staff, patient and thorough. Always explain things in detail and in a way that I understand. Will always recommend for any regular equine care or health issues. They have always taken great care of our mare especially when she contracted pneumonia.

Leaving our farm and long time Equine Veterinarian behind in Seattle, we were pleased to find another skilled and knowledgeable Equine Veterinarian, one we could put our confidence in. This confidence proved vital when our Tennessee Walker named Possum, was injured from a freak whirl wind ripping her entire 3500 lb Modular Shelter System up off the ground landing upside down. The Alpacas were OK, but Possum had to be rushed to the Hospital where Greg Schmid, DVM calmly assessed her. He was able to verify nothing was broken & her eye was most likely going to be OK with care and stitches. Possum stayed at the hospital for a week while I found a temporary stable to keep her for a few months while ours was being rebuilt, she received tender support and observation by the entire team. Greg Schmid, DVM later came out to Possum's temporary boarding facilities to reassess her eye, bone bruises and gait. During his assessment, as I led her, she slipped and fell. He instructed to not ride at all for at least a few months and also to change her natural Barefoot Hoof Trim to a higher back heel to see if that would help with her slipping in the back- it did! Possum has a long under stride and her heels were too short. She is back home and doing very well, it's been a year now and she's running around in the pasture with her boys as though nothing happened. Thank God and the team, she is still with us and did not lose her life or sight in the event. Vicki Maher

Our Equine Sanctuary has been calling upon Columbia Equine Hospital since day one and we have ALWAYS been grateful for their extraordinary care of our horses, mules and donkeys. The hospital is cutting edge and their veterinary staff is thoughtful and thorough with every equine. We even have a horse with COPD and Dr Christy went the extra mile to learn about new nebulizer technology and helped get us comfortable with the process of administering the treatment AND teaching our horse how to accept the mask. This is just one of many examples of how they have helped us over the years.
