Petco Gig Harbor, Washington

Took my dog to Petco Gig Harbor for a Vetco clinic Wellness exam and yearly shots. The Vetco vet/staff were great keeping my dog calm during the exam and shots . The whole process took less than 20 minutes and my dog was not stressed in the least. Cost was less the conventional vet clinics, more convenient and easier to get an appointment. Well done Petco/Vetco, see you next year????

We had more than three inches of snow on the ground and terrible roads, yet the Petco employees made it to work and made it possible for us to feed our pets. I thanked them for making it to work when other businesses did not.

They never answer the phone.

Funny how two days in a row their current staff can't make it to work. Yet my dad drives an hour in a half from Gig Harbor TO SEATTLE even in a snow storm and icy roads every day like many others and is able to make to work. Pathetic and lazy. Fire the entire staff and replace them.

So expensive there but its worth it!

Unfortunately this place is suffering with employee shortages like most places are. We had a hard time finding the help we needed and when we did it was clear that the employee wasn't sure about our inquiry.

Glad they had what I needed. Super great employees. Idk about petcos ethics and how well they treat animals though... but employees were nice.

I go here for my ferrets food sometimes, honestly this place is cold and awkward.

Went in today to try and get some cool fish for my 4 year old son and was met with such rudeness and unnecessary attitude. I tried to get 6 very small tetras and was told I need a 10 gallon tank at least, meanwhile there are about 20 of these fish in the 5 gallon display tank at the store. ????‍♀️ The fish associate went further to deny selling me any fish until I bring back a water sample from my tank, all for these simple tetras. My poor son was very upset and didn’t understand what was going on. Needless to say we left empty handed and my son was very upset.

Clean store and staff is mostly friendly. Selection is ok but on some things selection is sparse but could be COVID shortages.

I don’t think they even deserve 1star! Went into petco in gig harbor with the intention of buying multiple fish. Just looking at fist with the family figuring out which ones we wanted no biggie. So now we’ve figured out the ones we want it’s been at least 15 minutes. Not one person came to ask if we needed anything. We go up to the counter stand in line to ask for help with the fish. The man at the register say no problem someone will be with you in just a minute. Go back to the fish and wait and wait and wait…… the man who said it would be just a minute walks back to put something back on the shelf and walks away! nobody ever came! As we were walking out we seen 5 people with petco shirts on just conversing with each other. And that was our second experience with the same outcome. Needless to say we walked out with nothing!

It was a nice day at pet co ☺ The food i needed for my fish great price and will last a while. Thanks to the nice servic and people at pet owners. People really were nice to talk about daily stuff too.

They have what you need but they enjoy giving sick fish away
