I have been going to Elite Pet Salon for well over a year and have always found their service to be outstanding and their prices very fair. I am an overprotective father to my two cats and I have found their cat people to be truly exceptional. I would recommend their services in a heart beat. They do excellent work and love the animals they work with. October 4th, 2019: This is an update to my review from two years ago. I actually started using Elite's services in 2015 and have always been extremely satisfied with how they groom (primarily Candace) our two baby cats. Candace understands cats and knows how to work with them. I switched to her Mobile services and the service is even better because now I do not have to drive my cats to where she did her business in Gig Harbor. Now she comes to me and the cats do not have to go through the stress of traveling and I still get her great service. We do it every quarter and will continue working with Candace as long as she does it. Bottom line is that she is a great person and delivers a great service.

Elite Mobile Pet Salon is wonderful! Candace is always on time and does a wonderful job with every grooming! She even gives my daughter a little puppy bow tie to play with and dress up our dog! I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a small pet groomer!

Candice is fantastic with our Siberian cat "Roxie". Candice not only does careful and thorough grooming but informs us of importance things to know about our cat and her care. Highly recommend (and I have) to anyone who wants top-notch grooming for their cat or dog.

I only have my Yorkie groomed before summer and sometimes he can be a mess. Candise always does a top notch job. Now with her mobile grooming you don't even need to leave home, how convenient is that?

don't waste your time. Candice and Elite seem to be struggling with their business model. We started with their mobile offering in Sept (when we moved here), when we called for next appointment they were no longer doing mobile. Candice convinced us to bring them to the salon (our guys have always used mobile), we asked about their recent email about no longer doing larger dogs. She told us our 43 lb poo was fine, this was meant for larger dogs that were hard for them to lift and manage. She said she would work with our dogs so they would become comfortable being in their salon so we took our dogs to the salon. It took two visits to get our poo comfortable. Today we took her for another groom and when we picked her up we were asked if we "get their emails" and "did we see their policy on large dogs". Yes and yes. Michael then told us she now does not fit their big dog policy so they referred us to another groomer for her future grooming. We said we had this conversation with Candice before we brought her the first time, and she confirmed our dog was not considered large and the policy was not intended for dogs her size. He then said "Our salon tubs are small (all of the sudden, we guess) and Candice is really now fully focused on the mobile business". Find another groomer, one that has some idea on what type of business they are running.

We have had Candice groom our pups for several years, first at her fixed location, but for the past year by mobile grooming. She always does a superb job, and grooms to exact standards. Our dogs actually look forward to seeing her and to their grooming!

Candice is always a pleasure to work with. She provides outstanding care for my cat. Mittens prefers Candice over all other groomers! Thanks, Candace!

Candice does such an exceptional job with our two cats. We have one that is very timid but the care and love she places each time she grooms them always puts them at ease. When they are done, they both strut around the house showing off their new look. We can recommend her enough!

We love the Elite Pet Salon staff for the excellent work they did on cutting our Cocker Spaniel. They are very skilled in correctly doing the hair cut I asked for, cleaning out ears and properly trimming toe nails. We moved here recently from out of state and learned what a mediocre or bad job can be done with a dog haircut!! These folks are the BEST! Their rates are fair and I will try to tip them each time since they do such an excellent job. They have a cute salon, its clean and aesthetically pleasing.

We love Candice and all of the staff at Elite Pet Salon! Our dogs always have a positive experience and come out looking amazing. We've been bringing our 6-year-old to Elite Pet Salon for the past four years and he absolutely loves it. Our 6-month old puppy was eased into the grooming experience through Elite's puppy play dates. Highly recommended!

I was having trouble finding a groomer who would be patient with my little rescue. He had never been groomed before he came into our life and Candace has shown our little pup compassion and patience over these last two years. We are so thankful for Elite!

Small dogs only!! **added after owner response When I called, before visiting the location, asking about nail trimming it would have been helpful for them to tell me their preferences to work with smaller dogs. I understand all the concerns for safety and the well being of employees. I would have simply called another service provider had it been indicated that smaller breeds are preferred.

We have tried many places in the area and Elite beats them all by far. Not just the groom, but the personalization and love they give to the fur babies is amazing. We love them! Totally worth it...thanks for being great!

We absolutely love the TLC given to our sweet labradoodle every time she’s gone to Elite. Candace is wonderful to work with and her staff is fabulous too. Porsha is always happy and looks amazing when we pick her up. We recommend Elite to everyone!

Clifton, our Cavalier King Charles, loves going to Elite Pet Salon. When I first started looking for a reputable groomer in Gig Harbor, I am so thankful I landed on Elite Pet Salon. Naturally, leaving your loved one with others can always be somewhat scary, but I learned quick that they love and care just as much as I do. Clifton always comes out looking great and full of smiles. When I was there for an appointment, I noticed a note on Clifton's appointment that read something like "take good care of my baby." The note wasn't intended for me to see, but I'm glad I did. I think it's sweet they care that much about Clifton and the pets they take care of. I never, ever write reviews, but I felt it necessary to give praise to Elite Pet Salon and all of their staff for taking such great care of my baby boy.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Elite Pet Salon since they opened. Candace and her staff do a fantastic job! Over the years I’ve taken 5 dogs to Elite. Currently, I have 3 dogs and they all come out looking beautiful. They are all extremely knowledgeable and very caring. I highly recommend taking your dogs to Elite Pet Salon. The location is also very convenient!

I've worked in the pet industry 5+ years and I've never seen an employee act so unprofessionally. Although their website says they specialize in geriatric pets, they DO NOT show any care or sympathy for older pets with any health issues. Instead, be prepared for a lecture about euthanasia and "knowing when we're being selfish," "hanging on too long," and taking into consideration "quality of life." Our dog is older and has an ear infection that we've been battling for years and has arthritic hips. That's it. He's been to the vet several times for the ear infection but it keeps coming back. His arthritis is being treated as well. Regardless, ANY health concerns we've had about him have been addressed by a licensed veterinarian and he's in good health aside from those few issues. Due to the arthritis, he is sometimes incontinent when he gets excited so we have him wear a wrap in case of accidents. The minute we walked in with his wrap on, the groomer immediately commented condescendingly about his incontinence. "Oh, incontinence too?" She had us sign a medical release form, which is totally understandable, but then the owner came out and proceeded to lecture me about euthanizing my dog. Regardless of her opinion, it is not her job to give unsolicited health advice to customers and to make us feel like we're being selfish and negligent by not putting him to sleep. She then commented on our other dog, who's 2 years younger and has zero health issues, and told us we probably shouldn't bring him in anymore either because of his age. Then they told us they're raising their rates again. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back.

I have been taking my Yorkshire Terriers to Candice @ Elite Pet Salon since their opening in 2011. I have always been extremely pleased with Candice, and her team. Always an excellent experience!
