Highline Veterinary is by far the best general practice we've taken our pets to in WA. Our dog is very allergic to WA (hailing from AZ), and while we do frequent a dermatologist, Dr. Wedde has been wonderful in continuing her care. She's compassionate, offering new insights and always willing to take the time to speak personally to us, and creating a comfortable space for Cookie in the hospital setting. Hali is absolutely beloved by Bubby as she always takes the time to love her even for the briefest moments. I highly recommend bringing your fur babies here.

It's relatively affordable based on the prices for everything these days. The staff was great, they were able to make an appointment and get us in and out pretty quickly. This was a far superior experience compared to the other hospital just up the road.

I feel so fortunate to have found this veterinary hospital. My pup had a lump on her toe that turned out to be cancer. Dr Wedde was very kind and compassionate as we went through the whole process of canine toe amputation and recovery. The recovery was quick, just two weeks and my girl was back to her walks and hikes. This is the best vet hospital I have ever worked with; doctors, assistants and staff. If you can take your pet here, do it!

Dr. Wedde was so helpful and kind! My cat, Mister, was due for a checkup and some flea meds. Dr. Wedde answered all my questions and was very informative about preventative care. The payment process was very smooth and simple. Thanks for the white glove treatment!

Our 3 fur babies all come to Highline Veterinary Hospital and they’ve had great care from Dr. Wedde. I really appreciate that she has helped me focus on pet wellness to hopefully decrease future problems, just like we should do with ourselves, and she’s been straightforward yet kind and tactful with navigating my senior cat’s failing organs. That’s a hard topic and not every veterinarian I’ve worked with can broach it well. The clinic itself has been updated recently and feels much more welcoming. I appreciate the texting system in place in case the front desk can’t answer the phone if they’re on the other line. It’s a really neat feature when you’re feeling anxious about your pet’s health. I definitely recommend Highline. We drive from Kent because it’s totally worth it!

Dr. Jackson was the previous vet that we saw and she was nice. But then I came back and the vibe was off. No one even informed me that dr. Jackson retired and we cannot believe that they quoted our dog’s treatment 3x more than dr. Jackson quoted. They are nice but damn, The increase in cost is astounding.

My Maltese Terrier had a chronic skin issues for months. Took it up to Shawna and she was able to resolve the issue! Very happy with results and price!

We took our 18 year old cat Debo here to be put to sleep as his health was going down hill, after several vets were not accepting new clients. They accepted us and were so understanding, compassionate and friendly. We Highly recommend them. Thank you so much Highline Vet!

I've brought a few pets here and always had an excellent experience. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The vet was even able to diagnose a rare blood disorder in my dog and put her on life saving medication.

All the ladies here are super nice to my dog and me and seems like they try to fix all the problems I bring them. I've had people recommend this place to me from experiences they had before I was even born almost 40 years ago.

My pup and I had a fantastic experience at Highline! Dr. Wedde and staff were so kind and professional and we felt welcome and cared for from step one. During treatment and a tour of their facilities it was evident that the staff cares for each patient like their own and I can tell my pet’s wellness will be in good hands! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Wedde and her team - I would definitely recommend bringing your pet to Highline!

After our goto vet missed on 3+ things that should have been caught with routine checks we ended up at a local animal hospital who diagnosed one of our labs with an osteosarcoma (bone tumor). Luckily we were referred to BARC in Edmonds and received amazing care from their veterinary oncologists. This had us searching for a new local goto. We are so glad we found Highline Veterinary Hospital! Their staff was accommodating and thorough. I know a good vet when I see one and this place is up there with the best! Look no further.

I recently switched my dog’s care to Highline and I was so impressed. The staff was very professional and timely when they greeted us at the car and listened to my concerns. They had already contacted my previous vet and had all the records transferred over. Dr. Wedde was thorough with her review of recommendations for care including vaccines and how to proceed with long term care for my dogs heart murmur. I felt like she took a very reasonable approach to recommend good medicine but not pressure me into more care than we really needed. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Great staff, very caring. I think they are a bit over priced, its been a while since I've owned a puppy, but almost $60 for a fecal test for worms seems high to me. Next the puppy needs his fangs extracted and a neuter, which will be about $350-400.

Based on recommendations from three different pet owners, we decided to switch vets and take our new puppy to Highline Veterinary Hospital. Over the phone and in person the staff was great to work with--friendly, caring, and accommodating. I was a bit nervous about sending my somewhat shy puppy in without accompanying her due to covid, but she apparently loved it as our Molly came out happy and very friendly towards both Dr. Wedde, and Samantha. It is a little tough to get an appointment, but it seems that's a result from them being willing to take the time to truly be present to each pet and owner. I'll gladly give up a day or two in scheduling for this kind of care!

Dr Jackson & Dr Okawa, (relief Vet) have been HUGE in the recovery or our beloved Rudy. He was on the edge of liver failure & Pancreatitis and with their help he is now getting much better. They are so very loving and caring. Even with the COVID challenges they have been a huge support and so very helpful and great to work with. The front desk staff is AMAZING, they are working like a well oiled machine. At least that is the way it looks from my end. They make everyone feel like they are the most important. They give you 100% attention when they are working with us as the "parents" and our 2 dogs always come back happy from being inside with out us. The vet AND the front desk team ALL deserve 5 stars. AS OF May 2021 I am editing this review to 1 star. Dr. Jackson sold Highline Vet in January 2021. Try as I might I have tried to give the new vet Dr. Shawna Wedde time to learn what the clients she bought need and expect. Although the website says "New owner Same amazing care". That is NOT true, She replaced all the front office team Immediately and they do not have the same customer service skills and they do not have the same availability and it takes a LOT longer to get in for appointments. As I called around to check out other vets I heard from ALL of them that several of the clients of Dr. Jackson have been shopping around for a new vet. I can not say she has done harm to either of my Fur babies but I can say the front team is not a team I would recommend. I recommend you do as I am going to do, move on and find another vet.

We moved to the Burien area a few months ago. We are very happy to have found this place. They take great care of our dog. They are very caring, attentive, and professional. Decent prices also. Always a great experience. Highly recommended.

Dr. Wedde and her staff are amazing! My 12 year old epileptic BernerBass Buddy has his senior exams and labs here. Dr. Wedde goes out of her way to explain procedures and any updated medications Buddy may need. I trust my baby with their care, and he comes out a happy boy. Thank you Dr. Wedde

Unfortunately, the hospitality and kindness is not the same anymore. The receptionist lacks professionalism and empathy. After years of coming here we will no longer be coming back. Very disappointing.

I have been reading some of the most recent reviews about Dr. Jackson retiring. Although I do not know her personally or professionally, I can really feel the compassion and devotion she has extended to her clients and pets. I can completely understand a client being nervous and concerned about the new doctor, Dr. Shawna Wedde, I would like to let you all know that she is very sincere, caring and has always done her best to make my pet, Snoball my doggie as comfortable as possible, and has gone out of her way to follow up with him with a personal phone call at home as soon as she gets a minute. Especially if she feels it is something very urgent. She loves her clients animals as if they were her own, for 6 years she has been the greatest and best Vet we have ever had! We are in the South end and we are very sadden that she has left us and moved North to Highline, in the end we are very happy for her, we wish her the best and if anything we are jealous you guys got a really great Veterinarian! Please give Dr. Wedde a chance, she will work with you, she will help find solutions and bottom line she will love your pet as much as you do. Dr. Wedde Congrats on your new endeavor and we wish nothing but the best and you are going to be greatly missed! You are and forever will be five stars in Snoball's review.. By the way Snoball says hello!

Our 10-year old dog, Henry, was recently diagnosed with kidney disease, and we decided to change veterinary clinics because we wanted him to have the consistent care of one veterinarian and not just see whoever was available on a particular day. We also felt that the staff at our previous clinic didn't take the time to explain the diagnosis to us or offer ways we could try to slow the progression of the disease in our otherwise healthy dog. They just sent an email with the results of his blood and urinalysis workup. On a friend's suggestion, we called Highline Veterinary Hospital and met with Dr. Wedde, Highline's new veterinarian who recently took over Dr. Jackson's practice. We are confident that Henry will receive excellent care with Dr. Wedde. She took a lot of time with us and was very thorough, giving us plenty of time to ask our questions. We trust Dr. Wedde to help us moving forward. We also were impressed with everyone on staff who we've met so far, Samantha, Auna, Abby, and Sherrie. We will be happy for Dr. Wedde and her team to take care of our other dog, Dani, and our cat, Taj, too.
