Radiant Heart After-Care for Pets Bellingham, Washington

We ordered a urn for our labrador's remains. It was delivered promptly and was more beautiful then the picture. I had called to ask a question on the base color and they were very helpful. Highly recommend them.

I can not say enough great things about Radiant Heart, and Bobbie Ruth!!! We found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of looking for a place to have our sweet kitty, Watson, cremated. As one can imagine, this was a terrible time in our lives. We called and got quotes and info from a few places that offer pet cremation services, however, after calling and speaking with Bobbie Ruth, we knew this was THE place, despite the 2 hour drive it would take to get there. They have so many great options and services that they offer/provide to assist in preserving the memory of your pet. You can tell that Bobbie Ruth actually cares. She was so sweet and sympathetic. Her vibe is genuine and the environment at Radiant Heart is calm and tranquil. They have a “ viewing/grieving” room, where you can say good bye to your baby in private. At first I was against the idea of viewing my sweet baby kitty in that state, but she gently recommended that We do, and I am ever so grateful that we did! I was able to say good bye to our sweet Watson, and all though it probably sounds hella strange, pet him and kiss his sweet little face, one last time. We happened to bring our lil doggie with us when we dropped him off with Bobbie Ruth, and she suggested that we give our doggo the opportunity to see and sniff Watson. Again, at first I thought that sounded real weird, but I am so glad we did. After Watson passed away, Winnie (our pup) spent three days and nights searching and sniffing everywhere, looking for Watson. After she was able to see/sniff him in his deceased state, she was at peace. It was like she understood. She was no longer looking everywhere for him. We could not be happier with our “products” we received. We picked out a very nice urn, picked a couple “charms” that hang from the top of it, and had it engraved with his name and nickname. We also were provided with a heart shaped box with a clipping of his fur, and well as a paw print in a clay ornament, and a paw and nose print. And to top it all off, they hold an annual floating lantern pet memorial at a park in Bellingham. Anyone can attend the memorial, free of charge, but you also have the option to purchase a vellum paper that you can decorate for your pet and place it into a floating lantern and set it out onto the lake. The whole service was very nice. Again, I can’t say enough great things about Radiant Heart and Bobbie Ruth. If you are looking for a place to have your pet cremated, first, I am so sorry you have found yourself in that situation, but you will not find a place that will take better care of you and your pet!!

Hardest day of my life, and they were gentle and understanding as they walked me through making sure everything was perfect to memorialize my boy with. I got the time I needed to say goodbye with him all cleaned up, and all the keepsakes they made were beautiful and respectful.

Before, during and after one of the toughest days of our lives, the staff at Radiant Heart showed us nothing but compassion, understanding, sympathy and respect. We made the decision to personally transport our beloved dog Roach to Radiant Heart after her passing. There's an out-of-body feeling to holding a pet after they've passed. And I didn't want to let go. Upon arrival, Roach was carefully and gently placed on a gurney and brought to their viewing room. It was a great space to say goodbye to her physical form and Kim and Bobbi Ruth gave us much time and support in that moment. I had no doubt that our loved one was going to be treated with the utmost care and respect. I was a little hesitant on the aquamation, but looking back I am very thankful to have that option because Roach loved the water. It only made sense that her remains be processed in such a way. The aftercare package we received is beautiful. We love the urn we chose and the muzzle casting is something that while initially difficult to hold without crying now provides me with comfort. Everyone, who has a pet, know they are not just a pet, but our family members. In a short period of time I lost 2 of my beautiful family members. I randomly try to find a place where to go at first time and give my cat the last farewell, but at second time I had no doubt, this is the place where I have to go. Very intimate, comfortable place to bring your pets that have passed away. I was a complete mess bringing my beloved cat here and the staff made me feel very welcome, were patient and understanding and did a beautiful job.

Suddenly losing my cat to FIV at the age of 9 was unexpected, stressful, and soul-crushing. The easiest part of the experience was her after care. Everything was lovingly created to as a memorial to her. I cannot thank everyone here enough.

Radiant Heart was the only place that was able to help us day-of when our beloved dog passed away unexpectedly on a Saturday morning in March (we called about 7 other places). Though we had to make a 3 hr drive to get there, the fact that they were able to work with us immediately upon arrival and provide a calming presence during an otherwise terrible situation meant a lot and really affirmed that we made the right decision by using them. Barrett was working that day and she went above and beyond in supporting us throughout the whole process. At no point was there ever any up-selling, pressure, or lack of transparency around what was happening. We were given time to say goodbye before proceeding and we were also able to go in back and watch our pet be prepared and placed in the furnace (this is an optional opportunity they offer, not required). Before cremation, we elected to get some of our dog’s fur saved in a heart box and also had some stamps made of her paws and nose (and we were present when all these things were being done). The cremation itself only took a few hours - there’s a bunch of restaurants/Starbucks/etc. around - and we were headed home with our pet’s ashes same-day, shortly thereafter. Though losing our pet has been one of the hardest things we’ve gone through, we can wholly recommend Radiant Heart because of how transparent, professional, calm and personable our experience was. If you are in need of these services for your pet, please do yourself a favor and reach out to them.

While preparing for the passing of our Red we were referred to Radiant Heart and I’m so grateful we were! From the moment I came in the door my pup was treated with the respect and dignity I had hoped for - from initial conversation with Bobbie about planning to the final aftercare package pick up. Radiant Heart understood that this was not “just a pet”. We had opted for a witnessed flame cremation which gave me a significant amount of closure and the after care package was wonderful for my kids to have those last precious keepsakes to round out a lifetime of good memories. Radiant Heart has a variety of great options for after care and Bobbie was amazing with helping us figure out which one was right for us. I would strongly recommend Radiant Heart for when your best friend crosses that rainbow bridge.

Such a wonderful, loving service. Our sweet kitty passed away before Christmas Nand we went to pick him up today. We made the mistake of not checking the hours before and accidentally came after they had closed. The staff still invited us in and sat with us while we pet their sweet dogs and they asked us how we were doing. Thank you for your help and kindness during a hard time!
