Northwest K-9 Inn and Spa Bellingham, Washington

I have been taking my dog (5 yrs) to a professional groomer his whole life. He is a husky/ aussie mix with long, thick fur. We recently swithed to Halle at Northwest K-9 and I could not be happier. My dog has never looked SO good that I am kicking myself for not knowing about this place sooner! Halle was extremely professional, inquisitive of his grooming experience and my preferences, kind, detail oriented and non judgemental as he had some matting. We will definitely be going back and I could not recommend Halle at Northwest K-9 enough!!

Been bringing my doggo here for years both for grooming and boarding. They always do a great job and are very trustworthy. The staff loves animals and appear very dedicated to providing great care. The grooming is always on point. If you have a high shedding dog, their de-shedding service is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Good service and staff, highly appreciated. Would give 5 stars, but came to pick my dog up from daycare when I got off work early, happened to be 2:30 when they close during the day for an hour and was told I had to come back later just to pick up my dog.

Best staff in the world. The animals are treated with the most care and compassion. The family that owns the place are the amazing people too. 10 out of 10 absolutely recommend.

The dog I bought in was previously taken care of by a lady who was keeping shelter animals that's probably why she was so scruffy. They did a great job cleaning her up,she looked great so soft and shiny. My favorite part was that her nails were actually trimmed. Noticably, not just a teeny bit so you have to go right back. To me that is reason enough to keep going there.All in all they did a great job and I will go back.

The reason I bring my dog to Northwest K-9 Inn and Spa are a number of reasons- dog lovers work there, my dog genuinely loves going there, and the customer service is great. There is one more reason, and that was reinforced yesterday when I picked up my dog. The very nice person who released my dog to me asked me is it was alright if she had clipped his nails. I said "great". It's this personalized care that I really like. Thank you very much.

We've taken one of our dogs here many times for grooming. She's a German Shepherd with a thick undercoat. Not only does she look great when she is done, she seems to genuinely enjoy her time there. We took our other dog here for the first time too recently. She's small and generally terrified of new experiences, but seemed comfortable from the moment we dropped her off. Both dogs came home looking and feeling great! We will definitely be taking both of them back!

The staff is always very kind and helpful. My dog really enjoys going to daycare. He comes home and sleeps the night away. We are so happy we found NW K9.

We've had our German Shepherd groomed here twice. Each time the staff has treated her so we'll and made her comfortable in a possible stressful environment. Our dog has a very dense undercoat which needs to be worked on at least three times a year. Since Northwest K9 Inn and Spa is so good they are very busy. Both in dog grooming and doggy daycare. I highly recommend you schedule properly because their schedule fills up fast. We'll always recommend Northwest K9 Inn and Spa.

Fantastic staff always make us feel welcome!! After only one visit they remember our dog Jake by name.He usually always gets the same spot when we kennel him here. Couldn't be happier with the service we get here,and Jake is always happy to see the gals at NW K9 Inn.

We have had a good experience with boarding our dog there. We have boarded short term (1-3 days) and long term (7-10 days). They have different options you can pay additional for: day care, nature walk, grooming, etc. The price is reasonable.

We're pretty fussy about where we take our pup. High praise from some good freinds who are also fussy dog parents led us to Northwest. Decent rates, friendly staff who seem to love dogs. I like that they require a short visit to do a temperament test on each new dog to be sure they are all decently socialized...keepong out the bullies and agressive hounds. But I guess the real review should come from the guy who spends the whole day there - He is totally excited every time we drop him off, can't wait to get inside and doesn't even look back as he heads in to a day of play. And, always exhausted when he comes home ???????????? Its a good place.....

We have boarded our dogs here a few times now as well as gotten them groomed. Our dogs have come back happy each time. All of the staff members have been very friendly and kind, while still dog savvy. Their schedule fills up pretty quickly so definitely book in advance!

Update: They ended up calling me and letting me know they weren't happy about how our dog came home to us. They were very nice and ended up refunding our stay. I really appreciated them taking the time. They didn't have to, but they did, and that's huge. Would not recommend. Our first experience was the worst of all the places our dogs have been. We had our two stay for 2 nights. When we picked them up, our male dog's feet were bleeding and all his pads were red and raw. He was also very dehydrated and drank more water than I've ever seen him drink in the 3 years we have had him. We will not be taking them back.
