Maplewood Animal Hospital Bellingham, Washington

I have used this vet in the past with my Foster animals as I did this time. All the staff was very nice to speak with and they treated my Foster dog with the utmost respect. I was anxious about her going there without me being there because she has a history of abuse and is scared of almost everything but they took their time with her and there was no problems whatsoever. She came home a happy girl. She wasn't even mad at me. The only reason I did not rate them 5 stars is because you cannot go in there with your animal and also because I called in to get the results from the test they had done on my animal and I had to wait for a call back. The receptionist saw the results and knew what was going on but she was unable to tell me because it goes against their policy. My poor dog had diarrhea and puking for numerous days and I have to get help to get her meds because I do not drive. I had no idea if she was going to need them till I spoke with them. She had to wait For her meds for almost a full day because I had to wait for a call telling me what was wrong wrong. The call did not come in until until approximately 3:30 in the afternoon and I was unable to get someone to the office before it closed to pick up our meds.

Everyone was very nice and very good and the vet was great and gave me tips on jojo's weight .

Everyone here has been really great. I have a high anxiety dog and he had a very hard time there as well as having an infection with bacteria all over his body from an allergy. He really struggles sometimes when I can’t be leading him directly so these covid times can be tough to navigate. Dr. Baker, Katelyn, guy at the desk and one other lady doctor whom I can’t remember the name of, all answered my questions thoroughly and were patient dealing with another high-strung dog owner not knowing exactly what to do for their dog. Thanks for helping my boy have a much better experience with our follow up appointment. It was like he came out of a play session after. Happy as can be. They were so communicative with getting a game plan ready for him coming in as well as for his treatment with his infection in the long run. I recommend them for these reasons and so many more.

All staff is great! I have brought my two cats, dog, and our new puppy, Toby. They are very kind, helpful, and get back quickly with answers to questions. Highly recommend Maplewood for the care of your fur-babies!

As usual Maplewood Animal Hospital was amazing. We have been using them for years and are never disappointed. The care and respect they have for not only the pets but for us the pet owners (who are usually very worried about our little fur babies) is outstanding. I don’t have enough wonderful things to say about them. Every single staff member is caring kind and doing an amazing job especially during these difficult times we are faced with. Everyone really showed their care for my dog. They were compassionate and sweet. My dog is still a puppy and super shy, but they treated her so well and helped warm her up with treats. They are really gentle and I would trust them with my puppy’s care again. You can tell the people who work there love animals and that their owners love their pets.????????

I love Maplewood Animal Hospital. I have such a high opinion of the Veterinarians and all the staff here. I have been bringing my cats to Maplewood animal hospital for 30 years. I'll never go anywhere else. The staff are professional, gentle, thorough. I recently lost a beloved cat and I received a comforting and beautiful handwritten card from the staff. This is the level of care they provide. They care about the pets they see. I would trust them with any pet. I also have long admired Dr Rabkin's service to the Whatcom Humane Society. I remember hearing how he did surgery on a wild owl who had an injured eye and probably would have died. Dr Rabkin's skilled work allowed the owl to recover and be reunited with his wild environment. I have asked Dr Rabkin several times over the years if I could also be his patient, because I've always felt my animals get better medical care from him and his staff than I do from my physician, but unfortunately, he always said no! You'll never go wrong with Maplewood Animal Hospital.

Ive been to maplewood animal hospital multiple times and even though they only do curbside services with Covid, they are friendly, helpful and the prices aren't outrageous. They have cared for my animals with so much love and Walk me through even procured and medication. Highly recommend.

Dr Rabkin and his staff are the absolute best!! Our pets have been seeing them for decades- they truly care and it shows!

Thank you to the staff at Maplewood for being so efficient and professional during my recent visit from Canada for ofa hips xrays on 2 of my golden retreivers ....they were very accommodating with rebooking an appointment for 1 of my dogs who couldn't attend on this trip. The staff is very friendly and all in all it was a very easy and stress free experience at a very busy time of year. I highly recommend this practice

Dr. Burgmuller spent quite a lot of time thoroughly checking out our dog Orbit's problematic eyes and ears. Although we weren't allowed inside, she was an excellent communicator throughout the exam/treatment. We felt like Orbit was everyone's favorite ???? The only downside to Maplewood Animal Hospital is that they are extremely popular and they can't always fit you in. One time we had to go to AEC instead because they couldn't see Orbit for several days...

Always have a great experience here. They give you several options and reccommendations to work with your pet's needs and your budget. The staff is always super friendly and check in the next day after a proceedural appointment. My little dog had a great first dentist appointment, her teeth look so healthy.

When I was able to enter the clinic I found it to be wheelchair accessible. Now due to the bogus covid restrictions I have to stay outside in the cold while they take my service dog in to be seen. Thanks to a friendly staff, they gave me a big squishy blanket to stay warm while I waited for the exam to be over and they return my dog. All in all the staff are great, they treat my dog very well, and it's wheelchair accessible.

My dog is people selective and fearful but he never has an issue here. They're very good at taking care of him and making sure he feels safe. This really helps our training so I am very appreciative.

There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic the entire team is at Maplewood. Amazingly kind, loving, communicative, professional, affordable, and if you need orthopedic surgery for your pet, I highly recommend Dr. Rabkin. Best vet office in the county.

Excellent service and a great staff. Took our bun in to get his claws trimmed. They were so fast, about ten minutes, I didn't even have time to pull out my Kindle while waiting. The tech that took care of him was super nice and friendly. Payment was fast and efficient. I'd never take my little dude anywhere else.

Been going here for about five years now. For both cats and dogs! They're always super friendly and helpful, they even saved my cats life! And they were about the fifth vet we went to for our dogs skin issues and they were the only ones to actually help her out! I can't recommend Maplewood enough! Oh, they're also really reasonably priced too!
