Banfield Pet Hospital Bellingham, Washington

The techs are pretty nice, they seem very knowledgeable and know all the pets that go there. With the wellness plan it's mostly inexpensive for most visitations! I've used them for vet needs for years!

We've been on the Optimal Pet plan for 2 years. Brought him to PetSmart Groomers who notified us that he has an ear infection in Both ears!! What Banfield has Never Told us is that they Do Not Work with PetSmart, so even though Those care takers let us know, and he's right here at PetSmart and Next to Banfield 'Pet Hospital', they cannot, or will not, see him until next available appointment, Which If we hadn't scheduled for next Friday Yesterday for routine care, wouldn't have been until the 13th of December.. Although they call themselves a 'hospital' they Do Not So Emergency care! Even IF you Are a 'Optimum Wellness' client. Wish we would have known this Before we've paid for the plan for the last 2 years. Yes, comes in handy for routine vaccines, but Don't Count on them to be there for you, your pet, or your family For ANYTHING ELSE!!! Too bad 2 of the 3 other local vets I called are Not accepting new clients or we would definitely be new clients elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY BANFIELD PET INSURANCE. IT IS A SCAM!! This review is for the Banfield pet insurance that this location sold my wife. We got an Aussie puppy and like responsible pet owners we wanted pet insurance to care for the health of our sweet little puppy. Unfortunately the Banfield pet insurance is VERY predatory. We took her in for her check up and they said the services would cost almost $500 at this location but the insurance covers it but when we called other vets the quotes were half as much and didn't justify paying the insurance premiums that banfield charges. We spent MONTHS and hundreds of phone calls trying to cancel and switch providers only to have our plan automatically renew and continue to charge us. I believe this is intentionally done by Banfield just so you give up and keep paying. Terrible business plan that preys on pet owners love of their pets!!

Banfield has been the best for me pets. They are not overpriced, and give top-quality care. I have no complaints.

Like everything they are aorking on things as best they can thru Covid but they like many places are not like they once where service is down but they are trying hard and thats what matters

We have taken our family pets here for years crossing the border to do so because the care here has been so excellent! Haven't been able to have our check-up since covid which has forced us to find a vet nearby and it's proving to be difficult to find one that matches the quality of care and the affordability of Banfield.

I've been using banfield for years! At this time, all the vets staffed were awesome and the techs were welcoming as well.

We've been with Banfield for 3 years now and have had a great experience. It can sometimes be difficult to get in quickly, but it's nice that there is one in Burlington as well and they can usually get your pet in quicker if you can't wait for Bellingham. The wellness plan has worked wonderfully for our two cats. It's affordable for us and has taken off a lot of pressure since vaccines and office visits are covered. They always call to remind us when check ups and vaccines are due.

What good is it to have a medical plan for 12+ years and pay dearly for it when your dog needs a vet they can not see you. They could only see my dog in 1 week time, in fact they state that all vet have a waiting period. False I was able to get an appointment with my local vet the next day . My $$ is not going to Banfield again. Please don't make my mistake believe that banfield vets care ! All they care is about the $$

Had a very bad experience with our previous vet being mean to our little cat and prescribing him a medicine that is toxic to cats. How refreshing to meet someone who is actually a veterinarian because they love animals. The vets and other staff here are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and loving towards the animals. Thank you to all of you for helping our little guy and for showing such compassion, our little guy was so scared because of his previous experiences and you were so gentle and spoke so sweetly to him. Truly grateful and I have been recommending you to all my friends and family.

Our dog's annual comprehensive examination was thorough and the staff took time to explain findings and options for addressing potential issues. That part was good. The drop-off and pick-up process is not good. We were told to drop off at 7:45am, and that seemed like when all the other dogs were dropped off. We were told she could be examined any time that day, but weren't told when other than to be ready when called and it would probably be between 2-4pm. We explained we drove from far away but that didn't matter to the staff.

They are the absolute best

In my opinion this vet is only worried about the money instead of focusing on my dog. The Dr wanted to add unnecessary tests and was rude when he answered our question as to why we would need those extra costs...

My partner uses Banfield as his vet, he's very appreciative of the kindness of all the great folks there.

Was skeptical at first because it's in PetSmart, but I'm glad we gave them a chance. We have the Banfield pet plan for both dogs. It's a great deal and helps keep our dogs healthy year round. Staff are friendly and can usually get you scheduled quickly if needed. Docs always give thorough evaluation and are willing to discuss options based on your resources. We especially appreciate Dr. VanDuren who works well with our anxious pup!

They get to many app. they dont have time for someone thats been a loyal customer they are so busy they wouldnt make an app. or be put on the waiting list for my sick senior dog the lady at the front desk kept sying like i was wasting her time ( very rude) I will find a new vet
