I had the most unfortunate experience at this location. Groomer Sean decided that he would shave my 12 lb poodle without asking and then attempted to charge us for this unauthorized service. We specified we wanted a bath and brush only. It became clear that he did so out of frustration and anger because he was very defensive upon pick up and the shave job was horrible and uneven. I could have done this with my eyes closed. My dog also appeared traumatized and was shaking for a day afterwards. He defended his actions by saying my dog tried to bite him and he was”bad” and it’s “ not his job to get bit” . To put in context my dog has been grooming every other month for many years and never bit anyone or was called “bad”. So… Anyway cashier Jasmin who was eating her lunch on the counter while this was going on..insisted we pay for this service bc our dog was”bad” . She stood there holding the receipt over her head and threaten to “call hr” on us-the customers.. when we asked to talk to her supervisor she insisted she was in charge and refused. Finally said her supervisor “wouldn’t answer the phone bc she was on vacation”. We did not end up paying for this shave job but did paid the grooming fee. We finally about a week later called and got a hold of store manager. She claimed these guys told them their side of the story and seemed very defensive of them and she never contacted us to get our side of the story. She also seemed upset that we emailed customer service -bc we couldn’t get a hold of her - saying there’s nothing she could do bc we called customer service.. She did finally refund us the entire service- after we asked for it. If she had been more customer friendly snd concerned about loosing business and less defensive of her rude employees we might have gone back to the (female) groomer. At this point we decided to share the experience and find another more professional groomer. We are still waiting for customer service to contact us. I would avoid this place if possible.

The guy who worked there had a seizure while on shift, was taken away by EMTs, but got fired for leaving his shift early and "forgetting" to lock up. Any place that treats their employees like this, I don't want to give my business.

This store is by far the cleanest and most organized loyal companion that I have had the pleasure of coming across. All employees were helpful, but if anyone has a question about dog food, Jasmine is the person you want to talk to. She was informative and helped me out tremendously. Can’t say anything bad about this store, everyone is so pleasant! Will be coming back.

Super knowledgeable and very friendly staff. They are quick to get to know your pet and are armed with lots of great recommendations. My dog bolts right for Bryce when she walks in!

Bryce P. was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful in assisting me in scheduling dog grooming and creating name tags for my dog. He was very kind to my dog as he shared Bare Bites, which he recommended as training treats (they were an instant hit!). I'm also pleased that Vienna's Loyal Companion store works with Rudy's Friends dog trainers...an excellent pairing!

I am so glad this store opened up in the heart of Vienna. The staff are always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, most recently Bryce, who used to work in the Merrifield Loyal Companion. The store is well-stocked with every pet food, toy, and accessory you can want, and they often run specials/giveaways on the weekends. Pet grooming is also available at this store. Great place to shop for your favorite pet!

Had the best visit to a pet store yet. Bryce helped me find great snacks for my 6-year old Great Dane - asked a few questions about what I was looking for - kind of dog - and he had great ideas !!! So helpful and by the way - he's also a Great Dane owner.

This store has truly lived up to its hype. I came in looking for new dog food for my very picky lab and Jasmine was extremely helpful! While the store was busy, it was clear that her and the manger had good communication and so she was able to give me her full attention. I had many concerns regarding my dogs allergies and what would be the best route to take in terms of food and supplements and she went above and beyond in helping me find something that works. The employees are great and knowledgeable, the store is clean and stocked, the atmosphere is great! Thank you Loyal Companion and thank you Jasmine. Toby is a very happy pup!

I've been coming to this store for the last nine months, but today was extra special because it was the first time I brought my dog with me. He recently turned a year old and I wanted him to check out the store and pick out his own birthday treats. I was immediately greeted by Bryce P. upon entering, and proceeded to receive the most informative and personable customer service I've had in a long time. He made me feel confident in my decisions of purchase, and extremely welcome. I live about 20 minutes away and have a bunch of other choices for my pet supplies, but that's all moot. Bryce P. sealed the deal on me continuing to loyally patron this store.

They gave me the wrong cat food and then charged me more when I went back to exchange it (saying a promotion had ended). This was after I had ordered the cat food and waited for it to come in. So much for trying to support (what appears to be) a local merchant.

Great store with tons of variety & selection! The store was well stocked, organized, clean and the manager Marilyn was super helpful! My dog has food allergies and I wanted to try a new brand of food. Marilyn was friendly, patient with me explaining my dogs needed and helped point me in the right direction. Will be back!

On my first visit here, I received a bad prognosis minutes before for one of my cats. I was pretty emotional and having a hard time and the lady working there, Marilyn, noticed and did one of the nicest things any store employee has ever done for me. It really made my day. If the employees care about animals as much as they care about people, you should definitely shop for your pet here.

My Shiba Coco and I came by recently to pick up a couple things. While we were there, we met Oakley who was such a sweetheart! Whenever I come by here I am greeted by positive energy and help at every question. Thank you Loyal Companion for offering supplies and not live animals. Your responsibility will allow you to grow tremendously! All the best!

Loved this store! So did my pomsky - she sniffed around everything and the staff were super nice and helpful. They were also so sweet to my dog and gave her treats. Jayceon in the Vienna location was very knowledgeable about the products and gave me great recommendations and tips. Melissa remembered my dog from another time — all around friendly vibes

I took my dog for the first time. The groomer is terrible. He almost shaved my dog. Looks like he used a clipper on her. ????

So, we were walking by and saw that there was a pet store my daughter who's 3 loves dogs, saw a puppy in the store and immediately wanted to come in...so we did and we were greeted with the most homegrown feel. Like we were regulars there. *noted this is our first time ever stepping foot in a loyal companion* anyway with all this unrest going on in the area it felt good to feel welcome in a store you never been in too. Oakley came up to us and started kissing my daughter and a guy came up I think his name was Jayson (sorry jay if I spelled it wrong) greeted us and and introduced himself and asked who we were shopping for? I said we came in because Aniya wanted to see your puppy lol. We laughed he said that's what every comes in for he's the star here! THAT HE WAS!! ALL in all we came out with "Sadie the bear" for my daughter as it was really soft and she loved it. What a great experienced have here! If we do decide on getting a dog I'm sure Loyal Companion will be my go to store! If you want a good experience make sure you stop by and say hi to Oakley and the manager was great with talking to us about all the food and toys and products and services they offer. Thank you for making my daughters day yesterday! Thanks for the goodie bag as well! She can't stop smiling and talking about Oakley will definitely be back to see you guys!

The staff here are just amazing! Melissa, in particular, goes above and beyond to help her customers! The selection of pet foods, treats, and toys is also fantastic.

I love this place, just moved to the area from California and I have always been a Krisers customer but anyway this is the type of pet store that others should aspire to be. The store manager Jay is always on top of my special orders, I only needed to mention that I needed Fromm large breed every 2 weeks and he’s been making sure I get it not he has gone to other stores to make sure I get it!! & staff are exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They will often ask if you need help carrying anything or finding anything and the selection of items for my dogs. Prices are great too and the coupons are great!

So glad we found this local shop. I was looking for a particular healthy cat food and they were the one shop that had it. Hoping for curbside pickup, the person who answered the phone was extremely helpful, locating the foods, telling me the flavors and sizes, gathering our order up and taking payment by phone. I can’t read the last few letters of his name on our order but it starts with “Jay” so thank you and kudos for being so helpful.

Best store in the area , it’s worth the drive .evrn if you ha e a store that’s closer . Best customer and friendly service. Highly recommend.

As always this place never dissapoints, Melissa who is the person who assisted us is amazingly sweet and helpful. They always have the best advice besides our vet to what is the best canned food to the kibble.

Employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about products. I love the variety of healthy single-ingredient treats...so does my pup!

Friendly & knowledgeable staff. I didn't feel like I was being sold just any product or that I was told what I wanted to hear. I left with a lot of new information, a few new products, and a new pet store to share with my puppies.

The best place to get quality food, snacks, and toys for your pet. Sarah is very helpful and so nice to everyone.
