Took my dog in for an echocardiogram. it was a good experience all the way around. Dr. Peckens gave me a read out immediately after the echo was completed and took time to explain everything and answer my questions. The staff was extremely friendly. My dog has orthopedic issues, and they made clear to me that they would take special care in light of those issues.

Have had a great multi-year experience with Dr. Peckens and his team for both of our pets.

The service we received was great, and my cat Cooper gives it a paws up as well. Seriously though, we appreciate the service you provide. Your staff was great, and it was nice getting quick results.

Dr. Boyd is fabulous. His recommendations to our primary vet were the first in 19 years that made a significant difference/improvement in my dog's day to day health. His assistant during our visit was also great. However, you have staff who are a horrible reflection of the excellent care that you provide for pets.

This is a marvelous practice. Every effort is made to keep the patient and the pet-parent comfortable, and to fully explain procedures and results. There is an underlying feeling at all times of genuine caring, coupled with high levels of technical and medical competence. Without question top level medical services for complicated issues.

Our 12 year old feline has a history of heart murmurs and we needed a cardiac workup prior to dental cleaning (since anesthesia will be involved). Dr. Peckens was very thorough in his examination of our cat and more so in his explanation to me about our cat's moderate heart condition, in terms that were easy to follow. We rely on our vet for routine care but having CVCA's specialized services available nearby is a blessing.

Our pup was diagnosed with a heart condition. The vets and staff at CVCA were wonderful at explaining her care, doing necessary tests, and prescribing treatment. Everyone was above and beyond caring for our nervous shy dog.

It's never easy getting a diagnosis and having to take your pet to a pet cardiologist, but from my first contact with scheduling our cat I felt assured that he would be in the best hands possible. I had a few questions prior to our visit and they were answered promptly. Stephanie Savino, DVM, the assistants and the intern were all welcoming, explained procedures, and put me and my dog at ease. Dr. Savino said that she wouldn't review the previous measurements prior to her exam to avoid being biased by those results. An intelligent approach, and greatly appreciated. When the comparison was done, my dog had actually improved slightly in cardiac size, so that was great. Dr. Savino explained her findings during the EKG and did a quick scan of other organs to ensure nothing major was evident, due to my dog's recent anemia in a blood test. However, she did state that if my vet felt an ultrasound was needed after subsequent blood tests, she/CVCA would be happy to help with that procedure. This is the 4th visit to CVCA Vienna. Each time I received excellent customer service. The time the doctors take to discuss their evaluations and answer any questions you may have is exactly what is needed. It helps me better understand the health of my pet and give her better care.

Great people, great service! Staff communicated well, clearly addressed concerns, and were very gentle with my dog during his exam. The office environment was friendly and calm which I greatly appreciated because it helped alleviate some of my worry and my dog's anxiety throughout the appointment.

The team at CVCA were fantastic from appointment scheduling all the way through to delivering results. I have a large protective breed dog and they respected his space and built trust with him. They explained the tests and what they were seeing. The doctor didn’t push medication or surgery for a condition that just needs to be monitored. Definitely recommend

The staff at CVCA were kind, prompt, and understanding — thoughtful in answering our questions about our pet’s condition and helped us make the best decision for our pet and circumstances. It is difficult waiting in the parking lot for answers but hopefully those restrictions will be safely addressed soon.

Outstanding facility! Outstanding care given to my dog during her cardiac exam and echocardiogram. Was referred to a cardiologist by my dog's primary veterinarian and found the staff from the initial phone call to setup an appointment, to a reminder call, and then the day of the visit, everything went extremely well. Found out the basis for my dog's grade 3 heart murmur and told there is nothing to worry about it now. They'll see her every 9 months and watch her carefully. Dr. Peckens was excellent in his care and treatment of my special dog and in his layman's terms explained what was going on and what to watch for. The front desk team members were excellent, both upon arrival and when I was paying and leaving. They are friendly, personable and know what they are doing. I am glad I found CVCA and would recommend them to anyone. Highly recommend making an appointment if you find out your pet has heart problems. They can easily do what your primary vet cannot.

I hadn't been here in 6 months and it was time for my cat's cardiology checkup. I parked and called the office. The vet tech was down at the car quickly to take my cat in for his exam and EKG. My cat was back in less than 1/2 and Dr. Peckens called shortly after with the results. After getting the results, settling my bill over the phone and making a 6 month followup appt, I was on my way. A very fast and efficient appointment.

My dog has a challenging condition and the staff supported us both throughout her care.
