Best Vet & Techs, so glad to be back

After using this vet for many years with multiple pets, I was told by Chris that since I hadn't been there in a while. my sick cat is now a new patient. And they aren't accepting new patients. While I understand the difficulties COVID has caused many businesses, I have never heard of a "hospital" turning away any sick patient. Especially when I had an agreement with Dr Brooks that they would see my pets on an "as needed" basis because I use the traveling vet for my pets shots.' If they are turning away existing patients they should at the very least inform these customers that their pets will no longer receive needed care.

Where do I start? Dr. Brooks and her staff are absolutely fantastic. I am a AKC Breeder of Merit having raised and exhibited English Cocker Spaniels for almost 20 years. I have produced many Champions and Grand Champions. I have 100% confidence in Dr. Brooks with the health and well being of my dogs. Not only will she meet their routine needs but she will go above and beyond to investigate any issue I bring to her. The staff members are also amazing! They treat every dog like it is their own. Totally professional and caring. Covid has put a topsy-turvy spin on everything these days. They have operated the clinic in a manner that protects clients, pets as well as their staff. They bend over backwards to try to meet my scheduling needs but I also realize that I need to respect their needs. I give them FIVE STARS!!! Not sure if they are accepting new clients yet but if you are looking for one of the best Veterinary Clinics on the Eastern Shore then give them a call.

Always, always reliable and thorough. These people take excellent care of my dogs!!!

Dr Brooks and staff are great

Dr. Brooks and her staff always take excellent care of our girls. They are always kind and gentle. They are also pleasant and competent.

Our Border Collie has been in the care of these terrific folks since we moved here five years ago. Dr. Brooks and her staff are, in all respects, the best. Professional, caring, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. Having been to a couple vets in the area, this place is by FAR my favorite. The second I made my first call into this vet, Kris was such a sweetheart and I could really tell she has a heart for animals. Heather was extremely professional and was a pleasure to work with over the phone as well. Dr Brooks was one of the most thorough, professional and kind vets I have met. I have full confidence in her credibility and expertise. Would definitely recommend this vet hospital!

Used to utilize them for about two years. Had not been back in a while but my dog had cut his paw really bad. Called and requested an appt and they told me it would be a month before they could see him. Absolute disgrace that they care more about his “check up”(getting money) then helping a dog with an injury. Called Johnson McKee who I’ve never used and they had me in within the hour. Will never be back.

The staff here is wonderful. They take great care of my dog, are very friendly and helpful, and go above and beyond to make special accommodations because my dog is reactive. The office and exam rooms are always very clean and it's obvious the staff here love animals. Curbside service during covid greatly exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Dr. Brooks and her entire staff provide the best care for my pups. I have been with Wicomico Vet for 15 years and would not want to have my shepherds cared for by any other vet. Dr. Brooks genuinely cares for my dogs and is open and honest when it comes to making medical decisions for them. She went over and beyond for a veterinarian when she was on vacation and my 5 year old had a serious medical emergency, she was on the phone with me throughout the day offering guidance. I knew I could trust her when it was time to make the decision that Duke needed to be put down. Wicomico Veterinary Hospital is hands down the best place to care for pets.

Wicomico Veterinary Hospital is a great place to take your pets. The building is very clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Brooks is such a caring vet - she has given all my pets superb care.

We were fit in very kindly with a very very sick pup for our vets office which was closed and scheduled for a 10:30 appt. was asked to try to be there at 10:15 for paperwork. We arrived at 10:30 due to a traffic issue and was called while in the parking lot that they cannot see our dog. They were working us in and it’s too late. Our vet would never turn away a very sick pup! So glad this is not our normal vet!!!!

Always wonderful with my pup. Knowledgable animal loving staff, and excellent veterinarians. So very helpful, and easy to get into when you need an appointment.

Just amazing courteous informative and they really cared. they save my dog's life after she got hit by a car.

I am so late but promised a good review:) I stopped by with the need to find a new vet in the area and also needed travel documents for my dog. Everyone around kept telling me they don't accept any new patients and refused to even tell me what I need or some guidance of any sort. I hate to admit but I am bad with names and forgot her name but one lovely lady at the desk here took the time to show me exactly where I needed to look and what to look for. Although I haven't gotten the chance work with them I would highly recommend only based on my first experience coming in and asking for help. I was treated with respect and kindness.

Our daughter chose to interview a veterinarian for a school career project. We had no pets, so our friends recommended Dr. Heather. She was very informative and accommodating. When we got a dog, we knew she was the best choice for our Ginger! They provide the best care, staff is super friendly, service is like family.

I took my dog Frankie here after moving to the area. During my first visit I just wanted to get a basic check up, rabies shot, etc. She had a lump on her leg but I thought it was just a harmless fatty tumor. It turned out to be cancerous and within 6 weeks her leg was scheduled to be amputated. It was such a difficult decision but Dr. Brooks and her wonderful staff were so amazing at helping me through the process and explaining all of my options. I am so grateful that the first facility I was recommended had a vet who was capable of performing the surgery, because Dr. Brooks helped us so much during those 6 weeks that by the time the surgery was scheduled, I knew Frankie was in good hands. In fact, she pushed her vacation back a day so that she could come in and perform the surgery as quickly as possible before the cancer had a chance to spread. I was floored by her compassion. Same with the vet techs - it was so evident how much they cared for Frankie and it made me breathe easier leaving her in their care. The amputation was 4 years ago and Frankie is still hopping along. And she still loves going to see Dr. Brooks and staff after all the poking and prodding and limb removal - if that isn’t a ringing endorsement I don’t know what is! We love this place and the staff and I can’t recommend it enough!!

The entire staff is tremendous. They are all willing to go above and beyond for their clients! It’s great to have such a knowledgeable veterinarian and supportive staff in this community. We appreciate everything they do!
