Got there early with my small dog. 8am. They finally called me to see a vet at 3:45! Crazy!

Great staff. They get busy & stay cool under pressure.

We took our dog Lucy there after our house caught fire. They did everything they could to save her. She stop breathing. They started cpr on her till they called me. I had to tell them to let her go.. I thank everybody there that helped take care of Lucy yall were awesome I would recommend Cary street hospitol to anyone.

I just brought my sweet kitty (Esme) here this morning, and I would recommend this practice to anyone who asks. Every single person I encountered was kind and professional. They were very efficient with online check ins, filling out paperwork online, they come collect your pet in the parking lot (due to Covid), keep you informed via cell phone calls, and you even pay through a text message...so convenient! Maybe I'm a bit biased, however, due to having worked here 36+ years ago as a high school kid (for Dr. Morgan). Unfortunately Dr. Morgan is no longer with us. *sad face* But you will not be disappointed. Dr. Matthews is very kind, she takes her time with you explaining in great detail all of the procedures, any recommendations for your pet, etc. I'll continue to bring my lil Esme here from now on.

Took my Rottweiler in at 6 pm. She was lethargic, wouldn’t walk, coordination off, hadn’t eaten since Sunday and was dehydrated. After her vital signs were taken we had to wait outside. She laid by the entrance door on the ground for hours. At 10 pm I went in to check how much longer. Couldn’t tell me BUT it would be a while. We waited until 11 pm and went home. THEY CALLED ME AT 4 am TO SAY THE DOCTOR COULD SEE HER NOW. This is the first and last time I come here. And I thought emergency rooms for humans were bad! We called around the next morning and found a vet that saw her first thing this morning.

I feel that Dr. Thompson & her associates give my Max excellent care. I can tell when I see his manner before and afterward. Thank you for putting your all into Maxi! We so appreciate it.

My Daughter who is now a Dr./DVM herself had worked for Dr. Kimberly Kuhn's for appox. 8 yrs., in that time as an assistant she was encouraged & supported by Dr. Kuhn & staff to go on with her mission of practicing in her path of expertise. I myself her mother having been bringing our children their both dog's, cat's & ferret's since we moved here Sept. 2003! Dr. Kuhn, is a Jewel of a Veterinarian. You'll be both Happy & Assured the Best Care for Your Children & referrals on to the Best Specialist if needed!

The entire team at Cary Street Veterinary Hospital is outstanding. Our girls receive the best care there and we are lucky to have such a fine practice in Richmond. I highly recommend them.

My first experience coming in was awesome until got checked in for cat visit that recently had a kitten along with her emergency uterus hanging out just to be turned down waited 3 hours for nothing only for exam got charged $115 for nothing being done just for her to be looked at which we already done was told 2,000 some dollars for get surgery done other side said 4000 something worse place ever and the lady had the nerve to say we don't get it done the cat will die that was so harsh to say with a animal needing care and to be able to save it's life instead of pocketing money from people for your lifestyle living just know this will not go unnoticed ????????

They have taken wonderful care of my girls for everything from regular check ups to illness to injuries. Even my most anxious babygirl likes them. I find their prices to be about average and I’ve always been able to get in for an appointment pretty quickly. Highly recommend!

Vets, receptionists and techs all show a very caring attitude towards pets and their humans. They take the time necessary to explain treatment and aftercare protocols to help keep my dog healthy. At no point do I ever feel rushed by any of the staff, which leaves me feeling as if my dog is the most important and valuable patient they have. I know other pet humans feel the same...

I cannot say enough about this practice. We have a senior dog Penelope and when we switched to Cary Street, we saw a dramatic difference in the thoroughness of care and time dedicated to explaining what she needs. Penelope has seen each doctor - Kuhn, Matthews and Thompson - on separate visits. They each read her entire history and gave a holistic recommendation for care (depending on the issue that was being addressed). She is in much better health now than 6 months ago because of them. The care she is getting is more expensive and it is worth every penny. We got her health into such a great place, we confident to add a puppy to our family. They are taking care of our little guy Brisket too. Thanks to the entire dedicated team at Cary Street!

I love taking my dog to the Cary Street Veterinary Hospital. The fear free care really makes a difference. He loves seeing everyone there, and they are so responsive! If I have any problem at all, they are so quick to respond and take such good care of my puppy!

I don’t have any complaints! I really appreciated the patience of the staff with Ziggy. He has pretty extreme anxiety around strangers and I really loved how the staff took their time with him. Thank you so much!

Excellent veterinary care, but what I like best is the Fear Free experience. My dogs actually are eager to go in the clinic!

I have gone to this vet for a couple years and I love it! They are sure to update you on the cost of any additional procedures for your pet if you ask. They explain lots of options and are flexible with you about treatment.

The staff and doctors are always caring, friendly, and informative. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. Fabulous experience. I highly recommend.
