10/10! River Run was amazing we needed to take our lab for a urgent care visit. After contacts some vets around us in Southern Chesterfield area and everyone turned us away due to the holiday rush. I contact River Run they said they take walk ins and they were amazing, professional, treated Buster like he was their own so much so he didn't want to leave. Also very fair pricing! Worth the drive. Very pleased!

River Run Vet is amazing. Clean, kind staff, fast, and reliable. We took our cat to the urgent care and they took great care of her. Dr. Murray is so great!

Fantastic staff, everyone is so friendly. The environment is very clean. Veterinarian and assistants took time to answer questions, my kitten was well taken care of.

They were awesome with my dog and stayed open late to help!!

Exceptional service from beginning to end. Friendly and helpful front desk staff, professional vet techs, compassionate and knowledgeable vets. Just the kind of service you hope for on a Sunday when your pet isn’t feeling well. Wish they were closer to me. Definitely worth the drive.

I cannot say enough good things about this group. We have a lot of dogs, and have made many a visit to RR for regular check ups, emergencies, and end of life. The docs are certainly great, but I have to say I've never been so impressed with the vet techs and overall staff. They are knowledgeable, caring, professional - simply outstanding. We, and our dogs, are very lucky to have them as our vet office.

The service at River Run is exemplary. I have always received excellent care for my fur baby. This weekend my dog had a critical emergency and I’m not sure if she would’ve survived anywhere else. The staff was professional and courteous and handled the situation excellently. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I was able to get my long-lost cat in for an urgent care checkup at about 8pm. We were seen moments after checking in, and Dr. Nash was so sweet and kind to my terrified cat. We were able to get his microchip checked, get his rabies vaccine updated, and a round of dewormer immediately, and for a fair price. When my cat busted out of his cardboard carrier, Dr. Nash assisted me in getting him out and back in a sturdier loaner carrier. The doctors and staff here are so unbelievably kind to the pets being treated, and I have been extremely impressed with the level of care and service that my pets have received!

25 years of pet ownership and veterinary visits and River Run is top tier quality. I just moved to the area and became a new client here and was THRILLED with the level of service Dr Sayed and her team provided. Dr Sayed's love of animals is obvious through the time and care she provided my dog Rony and me. She took her time and provided excellent advice and care. This veterinary hospital will not push unnecessary treatment and starts with the least invasive and most affordable adoptions while providing a plan of care if health changes and more aggressive treatment is needed. Very pleased to have found our new Vet! Thank you Dr Sayed.

A million stars. They took great care of my spicy little husky Lydia tonight. They were patient with her and her anxiety, and were gentle with her even though she is high strung. I appreciate them so much, and am grateful to have found a Vet that is so kind and knowledgeable. The establishment was clean also. She usually left her previous vet traumatized and skittish, this time she left with a spring in her paws and her head held high. The pranciest! We will be bringing her back in the future!

The staff are friendly and I was able to have my dog seen after business hours. I’ll definitely go back there again for my future vet needs.

Kind people who actually listen. Needed a new vet when my previous vet tried to tell me I let my dog walk on hot pavement because his paw pads were inflamed. He's a tiny dog so rarely does he walk, he's carried and we're aware of hot roads. Told them that wasn't the problem and they treated his paws as that was the issue. The issue did not go away. Took my dog to River Run and turns out he has an allergy. River Run is AMAZING!! They work with you, they are kind, and the prices are very reasonable. We found our new puppy doctor ❤️

Wonderful experience bringing our dachshund here when she was in pain due to IVDD…Seth at the front desk and Dr. Sayed went above and beyond to make sure the pet neurologist at NC State had all the info they needed for us to take our baby in for an emergency evaluation and CT. We are so grateful.

Dr. Parker Nash is a wonderful vet!!! He's very knowledgeable and funny. Had to take our Lucy in and he was so sweet to her. He could have sent me home with meds and ordered more tests but he is an honest vet and I super appreciate that!! Thank you for making what could have been a horrible day a super sparkly day!!

They are very good with my of the animals I bring in and super helpful with what they know.

Good service but a little pricey

Our cat had a medical emergency when all of the 24hr veterinary emergency centers in Greater Richmond were full and refusing new patients. One of them told us to take him to River Run because, in addition to regular vet services, they offer pet urgent care. River Run was able to squeeze us in immediately even though we aren't existing clients, and once they confirmed that our cat really needed to be in the ER, they called around to the emergency centers and got us into one as a referral so he could be seen there and receive care. They also went out of their way to avoid billing us any more than they absolutely had to, knowing that the ER was going to cost us a lot. Thank you all so much for helping get our baby a "bed" in an overwhelmed hospital system. I don't know what we would've done without you!

The folks are great. Very caring and explained everything I needed to know about my pet with great clarity.

I made a ‘day of’ appointment to have a quality of life exam performed on my 17 year old lab mix. Heidi Froelich DVM was my angel sent from heaven at a time when I needed it most. She was the most empathetic, when listening to my concerns and made sure I was completely comfortable with all explanations and decisions. For such a sad day, having to say goodbye to my four legged best friend- I am so grateful for Heidi and her lovely team who made such a difficult decision reassuring and comfortable for both me and my dog. I will praise your name to everyone I meet Heidi. You were simply perfect. Thank you for being so wonderful. We need more people like you in this world.

If you're in need of emergency help, and have seen reviews of other places that scared you... ME TOO.. Looking at local Richmond Emergency Vet clinics in Richmond, was looking at a death sentence for my pet, and being told to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket, but this place is quite the contrary. I caled them up to make sure I was able to come the same day, arrived within 30 minutes and Doctor Murray and Kayla P made us feel so heard and appreciated. They made sure to care for my baby as if he was their own. Absolutely love this place. Will be returning.

We had an emergency situation with our dog & needed help asap All other emergency centers were full. We just showed up at River Run early on a Sunday morning after a recommendation. They brought us in almost immediately. They were so caring & professional. They took great care of our dog. They helped us to figure out the next steps & helped schedule appointments. Thankfully our dog is doing much better. River Run will be our vet from now on. Cant thank them enough for helping us.

This is a wonderful facility with a uniformly compassionate staff. They are a 40 minute drive for me and worth every mile.

Sympathetic staff and quick wait times while we were there

I recently moved to the area and they got me in same day on a Sunday and the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately my dog had to be put down, but offered a paw print keepsake and they even sent a sympathy card in the mail.

They did a great job and really cared about not stressing my dog. Price was fair too.

River Run helped us out at a very difficult time with our dog when our regular vet was closed and others told us they couldn’t see us, even in an emergency. They were caring and compassionate and all around good people. I would highly recommend them.

Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to take your pets in need!
