I've been living in this area for a few years but I continued to go to the vet I had in Richmond. I got a new dog in 2020 and decided to find a vet closer to me and so I chose CAH. Recently, I decided to take my senior dog (who had still been going to the vet in Richmond) here. Overall, every interaction I've had here has been positive from the front desk staff to the vet techs and the vets. I especially appreciate the fact that they do follow up calls after a visit to see how my dogs are doing when the visit was for something non-routine. For years, I feel like I have been trying to find a place to go where I feel like the staff genuinely cares about their patients and gets to know them. I have been disappointed with all previous places (to include the one in Richmond that I had been going to for years) but I am not disappointed with CAH. So thankful to have chosen them and so thankful that they are close by.

We tried several animal hospitals, and Commonwealth is definitely by far the best. They always have taken great care of my dogs, and their pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend checking them out.

The good people at Commonwealth Animal are always very kind to my very anxious Australian Shepherd. She goes there for routine care, grooming, and medical issues. They performed surgery on her about 2 years ago with great outcomes.

As a new patient in an emergency situation I was given directions; when I arrived with my cat both of us were addressed by name and was asked if I had any trouble finding the office. My wait was short. Once in the exam room a technician asked about my cat's symptoms & history. A vet come in next, talked over history & examined my cat( explaining what she was doing). I felt like the staff was interested in me & my cats. A follow up appointment was scheduled; my cat received medication that would take care of the condition. And in a few days I received a follow up call to check to see how my cat was doing. I like the personal touch this office provided. Both of my cats require special food and one whole wall of this waiting room area has prescription foods so I don't have to go elsewhere to buy food. There is a good variety so I can choose different brands when my cats are picky. I would definitely recommend Commonwealth Animal Hospital for the reasons I've stated.

The entire staff at Commonwealth Animal Hospital is superb! Everyone is friendly, professional and involved in caring for your pets like they were their own. The veterinarians are very knowledgeable and ask for input from the pets' owners when treating them. The vet technicians are very competent and professional as well and the front office staff are efficient and personable! I have been taking my fur-babies to CAH since 1995!!

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies. The whole staff is wonderful and we love Dr. Kit..Best place in Chesterfield for your loving little or big babies..

We adopted a rescue puppy that used CAH. I thought about changing to a location closer to us but so glad I didn't. They are helpful making appointments on my time frame and we are in and out so fast! They ask questions and I do not feel rushed out the door

Let me just say, we have had a rough experience with vets along the way for multiple reasons. Number one reason being that they are always trying to oversell and tell you you’ll need all kinds of unnecessary things just to make more money or they would just do things without first asking us and we would find out from the bill at the end. We’v been scammed so many times or just had vets that did not truly care. I decided to try out Commonwealth Animal Hospital for my sweet pup and had a wonderful first visit. She had to get her annual shots and the vet we had was so wonderful and sweet with my girl. I believe we had Dr. Charbonneau. They definitely aren’t just in it for the money, they genuinely care about your pets. I’m very happy with my experience with them and will definitely return from now on. Highly recommend!

Dr Kit and staff are always awesome. We have taken our dogs there for years & years and they always provide good quality service, quick response to questions, and empathy when difficult decisions are necessary. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Kit/Dr. Cindy and their staff have taken excellent care of all of our animals. We have been with them for 25yrs. Would not take my animals to anyone else. The techs and front desk staff always call us by our names and know are pets by their names. Love them all.

I bring my 3 dogs for their exams, shots an nails trimmed. I’ve always brought my pets here an never been disappointed in care for my pets. They have always been helpful getting dogs in from car. Very professional!

This office is family! We’ve been going to Dr. Kit and his practice for over 20 yrs and I honestly can’t imagine going anywhere else. Over the years they have treated each of my dogs with love, compassion and have on several occasions gone above and beyond to ensure my pups had the care they needed. During any treatments my dogs have been dealing with they keep me very informed and cover all the bases, including consulting specialist when needed. I’ve never felt like they were saying my dogs needed something unless they actually needed it. Over the years my pups unfortunately have dealt with some very serious conditions and they have walked me through everything and spoke with me very honestly and helped me through so much. I’m very particular about my dogs and can definitely be “that pet parent” and they have never treated me any differently. They have been there for myself and my babies every step of the way and I will personally never be able to fully express my appreciation for all of the staff there and everything they have done for us. Thank you for always treating my family like family and for ALWAYS being there for us!! If someone is looking for a vet I’m telling you right now please give them a call, it will be the best decision you can make for you and your fur babies.????

I’ve been going to Kit since about 1996 so I’ve moved to each new business. Love how the staff has grown and the new location. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. They treat our pets well. I also have my Yorkies groomed there. Thank you to the entire staff!

Words cannot describe how much I LOVE this place! The staff is fantastic, the prices are great and the Vet's- top notch! They are open and honest and I have never left feeling uneducated or 'judged' with any decision relating to my pets. They are not in a hurry and talk like actual people and I am so grateful for that! ❤ We have been to MANY vets in the area (and I have worked for a lot of them), but Commonwealth is who I always recommend and who I bring my critters to.
